I booked a pet friendly room, not cuz I like to sleep where pets have slept, but cuz I got a pet that was gonna stay with me. Nothin' was talked about an extra charge when I checked in, but when I checked out, they asked if I had a pet and I said yeah. They told me I wasn't charged for the pet, which they told me when I booked, and that there would be an extra charge. I purposely booked a room at a rate I was cool with based on the fact I was bringin' my pet. The pet charge they charged me after was $50.00, I never paid more than $25.00 and I definitely wouldn't have stayed payin' $250.00 for a Sunday night. This hotel ain't worth that on a Friday or a Saturday night with a pet.

I booked a stay on Tuesday, June 28 with the Lighthouse Lodge and Cottages for our stay of July 2-July 3, 2022. Before I booked, I called the front desk to ask about their stuff. My partner has a problem and we booked our stay to use the hotel pool and hot tub. No one told me there were any issues with the stuff. I checked the website and it said they had a pool and spa. When we got to the spa on July 2, there was a sign at the front desk saying the pool and hot tub were broken. I asked the boss how long it had been like that and he said two weeks. I told him I booked because of the pool and spa, and he said I could talk to his boss. I got her name and email and emailed her right away asking for a refund or something else, but she didn't answer. The next day I went back to the front desk and told the person there that the boss hadn't answered and I wanted to be contacted. The front desk worker said she would make sure the boss got back to me that day, but she still didn't answer. The hotel hasn't contacted me at all.

Lighthouse Lodge & Suites On 08.09.2022, me and my friend stayed at the LIGHTHOUSE LODGE and COTTAGES for 4 days

On 08.09.2022, me and my friend stayed at the LIGHTHOUSE LODGE and COTTAGES for 4 days. The room was dirty, the floors were dirty, the bathroom sink was dirty, there was dust on the furniture, and the bedding was questionable. The sliding glass door hadn't been cleaned in a while. The sitting area outside the room was unusable. There was no maid service, so the waste baskets were overflowing by the end of our stay. We only had a tiny bar of soap for 2 people for 4 days. I had to clean the sink, counter, and mirror in the bathroom myself. I couldn't tell if the shower tile was dirty or stained, and I didn't want to touch it. The pictures online were deceiving, the rooms and grounds were not "pristine" - the landscape was dead and dying. There were plastic, ugly trash cans everywhere. They advertised amenities that didn't actually exist. The sidewalks were dangerous, cracked, and uneven. The pool and spa were closed by the *** HEALTH DEPARTMENT, apparently due to a fencing issue that hadn't been addressed in a timely manner. The roll I got for my "complementary breakfast" had green mold on it. We lost power to the whole property the night we checked in. The manager offered to move us, but one of us was 81 years old and it was dark everywhere, so it would have been dangerous to pack and relocate across the street in the dark, especially using the stairs. The other room they offered had no working TV or WiFi, and they offered a king size bed, but that wasn't acceptable for two women. I tried to talk to the manager to resolve all these issues, but they weren't available once we checked in. I paid $1,173.31 for our 4-day stay.

Lighthouse Lodge & Suites I made the bad mistake of booking this "hotel" for two nights, December 29- 31, 2021, for which I paid $414.80

I made the bad mistake of booking this "hotel" for two nights, December 29- 31, 2021, for which I paid $414.80. I checked in pretty late in the evening on December 29, and right away knew I'd been tricked. The guy who checked me in was one of the most useless and rude people I've ever met. The place didn't look anything like the pictures on their website. They gave me room 135. The room was old, worn, smelled like mold, and was super dirty. The sink faucet was broken. There were stains on the furniture that you could see, and obvious pet poop and pee stains on the carpets (check out the pics and vids I attached). The heater didn't work. There were dogs barking in other rooms all night long both nights. The room's terrace looked out onto a cemetery. If I had known about any of these problems before booking, I would've never stayed. The outside of the hotel was just as bad as the room: trash everywhere, broken lights, trash overflowing from the bins. The hot tub was being fixed, which they didn't mention on the website. But judging by the pool and how dirty it was, it was probably a good thing! The hotel says breakfast is included in the price; they gave us granola bars. I called the front desk and talked to the guy who checked us in. I asked for another room. He said there weren't any available. I asked if I could leave without paying a fee, he said there were no refunds. I tried calling the manager on duty the next morning, but no one answered. I went to the front office and left a message with the clerk. They never called me back. I also sent four emails about the problem, but they didn't reply to any of them. I think this hotel cheated me. I travel for work 290 days a year. I stay in hotels all the time. I've never stayed in such a disgusting, dirty room, or one that was so completely different from the pictures on the website. Before taking legal action, I'm trying to ask nicely for a full refund of $414.80.
