Limelight Media sells a lot of different programs for startup businesses, and for people who want to learn more about sales or want to grow their business. This past Friday, they contacted me about joining their Closer Academy Program where I would be trained and placed with a business professional to sell for them and this program costs $10,000. This is a very vague program and it was already making me question a lot.

Three days later on Monday, November 18, they entered me into a second contract for another $10,000 promising close proximity to help start up a business and to make a lot of money. After thinking about how vague it all sounded, and looking at the contract I had signed. They have charged me over $20,000 for something that I don’t believe is real.

I did research all over the Internet for Google reviews, and the Better Business Bureau, and read multiple articles about their services being a scam. Every single review that I have read has mentioned them paying a substantial amount of money for services and them not fulfilling the promise to its entirety. I want to back out of both of the contracts that I have signed with them. Specifically, the first contract that I signed for that first $10,000 was done on Friday, November 15.

However, the second contract was done yesterday, Monday, November 18. This contract states that I can back out within three days of the purchase if I paid in full and that I haven’t completed any onboarding or training programs. However, because they had already started me in a previous program three days earlier, this verbiage is contradicting as this contract has nothing to do with a separate contract that I had signed on Friday.

If I’m unable to get that first $10,000 back, I am entitled to the second $10,000 as I no longer want to receive the services that they are offering as I have read a lot of websites, reviews, and articles about it being a scam. They scam people from up to $5000 up to $50,000 and it is very upsetting. Their services are promises that are not fulfilled, and they overprice individuals who are just looking for business or personal growth. I want to get my $10,000 back and potentially even the full $20,000 as I have not taken part in enough training for this $20,000 to not be able to be refunded.

Claimed loss: $20,000

Desired outcome: I would like for them to refund the $20,000 that I paid them for these programs

In such a case, Limelight Media must be contacted instantly in writing stating the intent to cancel both contracts and contracts in its entirety. Make reference to the relevant dates of both contracts but especially the date of one contract being the use of the exit clause yet the other contract even though it wasn’t in effect as it was signed after the commencement of the first one. Ensure you communicate that you would not want to continue with either of the programs because of false or ambiguous representation of services to be rendered in relation to the contracts.

They had what looked to be a legitimate reason for refusing but having kept enough evidence to the contrary, you can submit a turn over complaint and expect full repayment, warning them about his erratic behavior. You may also wish to contact consumer protection organizations such as the FTC as well as seek legal advice regarding the options of simply disputing the pay to your bank or credit card provider.

Lastly, guarantee that you ask them for a hard copy of the confirmation of your cancellation and refund request, as well as keep record of all the further communications.
