I purchased a Maltipoo puppy from Linda Hobgood and picked up my puppy December 2015 . My puppy was 8 weeks old. When I got her home I had a lot of problems getting my puppy to eat. I contacted Mrs Hobgood about this but was told not to worry about it as she would eat. In 2016 I received a call from a good friend of Mrs Hobgood's who had purchased four dogs from her . She told me one of her dogs was found to have a liver shunt and told me I needed to get my puppy tested. She said Mrs Hobgood stated our dogs were in no way related but she was adamant I get Lexi tested. Lexi was tested for this before being spayed and she had a liver shunt. Mrs Hobgood knew Lexi had to have surgery but never attempted to contact me. She continued to breed Maltipoos. It has cost over $5000 in medical treatment and Lexi is still under Dr care because her lab results have not gone back to normal yet. This is two dogs that had neither the same mother or father, according to Mrs Hobgood, that was found to have a liver shunt within months of each other Most breeders will go through their entire breeding career and never have one puppy with a liver shunt.
The breeder's entire name is Linda Hicks Hobgood. Has website in Facebook with puppy pictures
Good evening! Do you still have Lexi? I believe we have a maltipoo from the same litter possibly. We also picked him up Dec 2015. He’s 7 now and was just diagnosed with a liver shunt. He’s has seizures and is really bad off right now. I’m te awful someone would continue to do this.
