I tried to reach Liquid IV using their email, which they never reply. I called their customer service number and it hangs up after saying no one is available. I found the email for the CEO of Liquid IV and his out of office gave me an email of an employee who failed to reply. I finally gave up, which it feels like this company intends to have happen. I called Unilever, the parent company and they said all they had was the email and number I had already called and couldn't help. so I wrote to the CEO of Unilever and he ignored me. it does feel like this company cares about their customers if they ignore a simple question. Their Liquid IV Multiplier states that the product is vegan. However, the 1st ingredient is listed as Sugar cane. I asked if it is organic or unrefined, as that would make it vegan and they declined to answer, which makes me feel it is refined sugar and not vegan. Both Liquid IV and Unilever seem to feel customers concerns or questions are unimportant.

Desired outcome: A written answer for what type of sugar is used in their products labeled Vegan.

Thank you for your kind words. Last night someone did call me. They claimed that their overwhelming call volumes caused the continual recording and disconnect with their call in option. They said they responded to me in email, and in fact said they had responded to me back in 2021 when I brought up this same issue. However, I don't have any emails from them. they claim it is a system issue and they sent me another email while we were talking and it never came in. I was told to send them a message if it was not just delayed. What I was "verbally told" is it is processed sugar, however they do not use any animal sources, including Bone Char to process the sugar. I was told they would look at updating their website to reflect what I have shared and that the original founder was in fact a vegan. I hope that they do what was shared, as so many vegans are frustrated with the lack of accurate vegan labeling. Europe had moved to accurate vegan labeling with laws and the US government has done nothing. I spent so much time going in circles with the FDA on this and it went no where. Thanks again for your kindness and understanding.

Reaching out multiple times without getting any reply is unacceptable. It's disheartening that both the CEO of Liquid IV and the CEO of Unilever have ignored your concerns, making you feel like your questions are unimportant. Given the ambiguity around the vegan status of the sugar cane used in their product, your concerns are entirely valid.

You deserve clear and transparent answers about the products you use. I hope both Liquid IV and Unilever take your feedback seriously and improve their customer service. Stay strong, and keep advocating for your rights as a customer.
