TransUnion TransUnion's Unhelpful Customer Service and Failure to Remove Unauthorized Inquiry

TransUnion is a credit bureau that has been causing me a lot of trouble lately. I was a victim of identity theft in January 2020, and since then, I have been trying to get an unauthorized hard inquiry removed from my credit report. I have contacted all the credit bureaus, including TransUnion, to remove the account and change the inquiry from "hard" to "soft". However, TransUnion has been the only one that has not fixed the issue, even after months of trying.

I called TransUnion today (12/9/[protected]@ 7:35 AM PST) and spoke to three reps on the phone (***604). The first two reps sounded like they were outsourced in India, and the last woman sounded like an actual person in the US. However, all three reps were unhelpful and kept asking the same dumb questions over and over without doing anything to help. They kept saying that the next person would remove my inquiry, but it never happened.

Finally, I spoke to a female "supervisor" at 7:50 AM who was really rude, unhelpful, and unknowledgeable about the whole process of removing an unauthorized inquiry. She refused to remove it and told me good luck. I wish I had written down her name to file a complaint with TransUnion because she was so unprofessional.

I have also filed a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to make sure the government is aware of TransUnion's fraudulent consumer practices. I suggest doing this if you want to escalate your problem and get proper resolution.

It's frustrating that TransUnion cannot complete a simple request in almost a year's time. I have been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope they can improve their customer service and fix this issue soon.

TransUnion Beware of TransUnion: False Flags, Poor Dispute Resolution, and Lower FICO Scores

I just want to share my experience with TransUnion. I did some research on Google and found out about the recent court case Ramirez vs TransUnion and another case in 2005. It's really disturbing to know that TransUnion has falsely flagged thousands of people as terrorists and drug lords just because their name was "similar" to a possible terrorist on the OFAC list. They even reported this lie in their credit files and hid it from the customers when they asked to see their own credit report. It's really a joke of a company that gets away with such things.

As for my personal issue, I filed a dispute on my credit report using their website, but they did not actually investigate it. Within 12 hours of my dispute, they simply marked the account "valid" while the other credit report companies actually took a week to investigate and overturn the false report. This is really frustrating and disappointing.

TransUnion is the absolute worst company that will report your FICO score anywhere from 50 to 100 points lower than the other two reporting agencies. It's really important to ensure that the company you apply for a loan or a new credit card does not use TransUnion during their credit check. You can simply research which companies use Equifax and Experian before applying.

In my opinion, TransUnion needs to be put out of business or many more lawsuits need to occur to get that "so-called" company in line. It's really important to be aware of such things and take necessary precautions to avoid any negative impact on your credit score.

TransUnion TransUnion Customer Service Review: Frustrating Automated Responses and Bots, But Some Competent Reps

TransUnion is a company that has been around for a while now. They are known for their credit reporting services and their ability to help people manage their finances. However, there are some issues that people have had with the company, and I am one of those people.

It seems like it is almost impossible to get a hold of a human being these days. When you call TransUnion, you are taken down a long path of automated responses and bots. They tell you to visit their website for self-service, but what if you have a problem that requires a human to respond to? It can be frustrating to not be able to speak to someone who can help you.

I recently had an issue with my account and needed to speak to a human. When I finally reached one, they didn't seem to understand what I needed. They put a fraud alert on my account, which was not the correct solution. When I tried to explain what I needed, the person kept interrupting me and saying things like, "As I told you before sir?" It was incredibly frustrating, and I ended up hanging up on them.

One thing I learned is that humans are not allowed to hang up on you, but bots can. If you ask for a supervisor because you are dissatisfied, they won't give you one. However, if you ask for one because you are satisfied, you'll go right through. It's a strange policy, but it seems to work.

If you do happen to speak to a competent customer service representative, make sure to give them some love. Leave a positive survey response or talk to their manager and let them know they did a good job. It can make a big difference for them and even earn them some extra money.

Overall, TransUnion has some issues with their customer service, but they are still a valuable resource for managing your finances. Just be prepared to deal with some automated responses and bots before you can speak to a human.

TransUnion Frustrating Experience with TransUnion's Customer Service and Website

So, I had to get a loan and the company needed to run a credit check. But, they couldn't do it because one of my accounts was frozen. I checked with Experian and the freeze was off, and Equifax said the same thing. But, when I tried to log in to TransUnion, I couldn't figure out if my account was frozen or not. I tried several times and even changed my password, but the website kept giving me an error message. Plus, they were pushing me to buy a subscription just to check my score.

I decided to call their support number, but it was just an automated system that asked me for all my information. Finally, I got through to a lady with a really thick Indian accent, and she asked me for the same information again. She told me that there was an error on her side and that she couldn't help me. She gave me a number to call, but when I looked it up, it was the same number I had just talked to her on. I don't think there are any different departments that could help me, and I felt like I was being scammed.

Compared to Experian and Equifax's online and phone service, TransUnion was very different. They kept asking me personal questions over and over again, and it felt like I was being interrogated. I've never had any customer service system, automated or by a person, ask me questions in the way this person did. It was too similar to all the scamming videos you see online.

Now, I'm stuck with a credit company that I can't even see if my information is frozen, let alone actually safe. I have no way to sort it out, and it's really frustrating. I wish TransUnion had better customer service and a more user-friendly website.

TransUnion TransUnion.com Review: Terrible Customer Service and Inaccurate Reporting

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough time dealing with TransUnion.com. I mean, I made ten whole calls and wrote two letters, and they still couldn't get their act together. First off, their call center is located somewhere outside the U.S., so it was a real struggle to understand what the agents were saying. And they had a hard time understanding me too, which meant I had to repeat myself a bunch of times and give my info over and over again. It was a real pain in the you-know-what.

But that wasn't even the worst part. When I finally got through to someone who could help me, they ended up making things even worse. All I wanted was to update my credit card number, but instead they ended up removing a 20-year-old account from my credit report. Can you believe that? My credit score dropped from 798 to 779, just like that. And when I tried to talk to a manager about it, they got all defensive and even transferred me to some fake extension. Talk about shady.

The thing that really gets me is that other companies actually use TransUnion's data to make decisions about credit. I mean, if they can't even get their act together when it comes to customer service, how can we trust them to report our credit accurately? And I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with them. If you do a quick Google search, you'll find tons of other people complaining about their terrible customer service.

Honestly, the only reason I even bothered with TransUnion in the first place was because I wanted to monitor my credit for a mortgage I'm planning to get next year. But after this experience, I'm seriously considering going with a different company. If you're looking to get your free credit report (which you totally should, by the way), I'd recommend going to https://www.annualcreditreport.com instead. It's a site set up by the big three credit reporting agencies in the U.S., so you know you're getting accurate info.

TransUnion Unhelpful and Frustrating: My Experience with TransUnion's Customer Service

I recently had an experience with TransUnion that left me feeling frustrated and confused. My credit score had dropped by 60 points since October, and when I called TransUnion to find out why, I was met with resistance and unhelpfulness. The customer service representatives claimed that they didn't know why my score had dropped, and when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was repeatedly denied.

After several attempts, I finally spoke with a supervisor who seemed just as clueless as the customer service representatives. He couldn't find any reason why my score had dropped and suggested that TransUnion didn't have access to that data. The next day, my other scores dropped by a total of 55 points, leaving me feeling even more frustrated and confused.

To make matters worse, TransUnion has been refusing to send me my credit report for the last two months, claiming that they've sent it to the wrong address. When I provided them with the correct address, they still refused to send it and instead sent me a dispute letter. It feels like they're intentionally violating my rights and treating me with reckless care.

I'm not the only one who has had a negative experience with TransUnion. It seems like they're going after people who question them and refusing to provide explanations to their clients. This is especially concerning for African Americans, who may feel like they're being treated as if they're inhuman.

Overall, my experience with TransUnion has been frustrating and disappointing. I hope that they can improve their customer service and provide better explanations to their clients in the future.

TransUnion Terrible Customer Service and Outdated Information from TransUnion

I had a really bad experience with TransUnion. Their customer service is terrible and the company is a complete joke.

I spent two hours on the phone trying to explain my situation. I opened a dispute on May 2nd, 2022 and it's still showing as "In Review" with no resolution. When I called to ask about it, they told me that it was closed on May 4th, 2022. But that's not true. I work with code all day long and I know that something is wrong from a technology standpoint. They said there's nothing they could do and that I should just submit another dispute request. But I can't do that until it's listed as closed and no longer "In Review".

I was transferred three times and even asked to speak to a supervisor. But they just transferred me down the line to yet another customer service representative who told me nothing.

The reason I'm disputing this account is because I'm buying a home. I had my US Department of Education loans rehabilitated, which takes it out of default status and removes it from your credit report entirely. But the representative told me that it stays on your credit report for 7 years, which is what it says on a 2018 document. I explained that the process has changed multiple times over the last 4 years. I offered to give them the US Department of Education's phone number, the website where the information is stated, and the contractual agreement that I have stating this information as well. But they didn't want it. The most ironic part of it all is that they removed 13 other US Department of Education accounts from my credit report entirely already. This is the last one.

If you're going to preach the same script and information with no intent to help, at least make sure it's actually up to date.

TransUnion TransUnion's Discriminatory Credit Score Practices: Targeting Minorities and False Reporting

This company, TransUnion, has really messed up my credit score for no good reason. I was just minding my own business, paying my bills on time, when SunTrust mortgage decided to falsely report that I was negligent in paying my bills. This was a total lie, but it caused my credit score to plummet. I talked to TransUnion about it, and they said that it was a big drop for just one late payment. But they didn't believe me when I told them that it was a false report. Instead, they started over-analyzing my credit report and credit cards, looking for any little thing that might indicate that I couldn't pay my bills. And they found some things, even though they weren't true.

As a result, my credit score dropped by 200 points, which is a huge amount. And I think it's because I'm a minority. They assumed that I probably have problems with paying my bills, maybe due to a loss of work, which is not true. So they decided to over-analyze my account and every credit card and anything that seemed to indicate that I couldn't pay my bills. And my credit score became affected. I had a 730 credit score, but TransUnion has been playing with my points and has been heavily regulating my credit cards ever since SunTrust decided to lie on my credit report.

I have two credit cards, a home loan, a car loan, and no student loans. I paid off $50,000 worth of student loans just to avoid this kind of thing, and now these people are over-analyzing one freaking credit card to ruin my finances. After SunTrust removed their negative remarks, TransUnion still continues to heavily regulate my one credit card that I've used 50% of and continually affect my score. This is disgusting behavior, and it needs to stop. They shouldn't be picking on minorities or people who they think cannot pay their bills. They shouldn't take advantage of their situation.

I've sent them proof that I pay my bills on time, but they continue to play with my credit score on the false notion of me using $5,000 on a $10,000 credit limit. There are people who have credit cards upon credit cards and use more than half of their credit limit, and I'm sure their score isn't going down every day. This foolishness needs to stop. They shouldn't be targeting minorities or people they feel don't have the advantage in society that other people have. It's sickening.

TransUnion CIBC and TransUnion's Poor Customer Service and Misinformation on Credit Reports

So, me and my wife applied for a credit card, but CIBC refused it because they said that some of the information was incorrect on the credit bureau. They mentioned TransUnion and gave us their contact. So, we called TransUnion to figure out what was the issue. The agent told us that it costs 24.95$ to have a copy of the disclosure, but after I pushed back, he said that accessing that part is free, but if we want the full report in the mail, we have to pay. So, I created an account for myself and got a copy of the disclosure. As I was checking my information, I saw that my last address was incorrect. Instead of Unit being 403, it was 4, even though my previous address was correct. So, I filed a dispute, but they refused it because I needed to submit at least 2 documents, which they never mentioned anywhere. So, I applied again, this time uploading my driver's license and hydro bill. But they refused it again, saying that the documents had different addresses, even though they had the same address. So, I called them for the third time and talked to an agent who said that I needed to write a letter by hand and send it by mail. After I insisted, he checked my file and agreed that the documents had the same address. Finally, they agreed that I provided everything they asked for, but they said that they would send me a letter in the next 3 to 5 days. I asked again to make sure everything would be fixed, but the agent said doubtfully that I should call again next week just to make sure. I lost my mind and stated that they better change my information because I'm not going to call again. It's been a month since that call, and nothing has happened yet. Apparently, they are trying to get people to subscribe to their 24.95$, and constantly they state that you have to do this in order to have access to your information, but after you push back, they agree somehow to move on. I see no reason why my address would be wrong, and they wouldn't change it, even after I provided the necessary information a couple of times. On another note, my wife's account is not working at all, and they're not fixing it. I'm appalled at how the government doesn't do anything about institutions like this.

TransUnion Terrible Experience with TransUnion: Incompetent, Dishonest, and Untrustworthy - Do Not Use!

I have had a terrible experience with TransUnion and I would not recommend them to anyone. For almost two years, they have treated me horribly and it is absolutely disgusting. I have provided them with receipts and proof of direct debit payments to show that I have paid my credit card, but they continue to ignore me and demand that I still owe them money. This is despite the fact that I have sent them receipts before and they still refuse to acknowledge that I have paid my debt.

Recently, a woman named Taylor contacted me and told me that she was going to leave my credit card on my credit file for another six years from the date of default. This is completely unacceptable and I have had enough. I have sent most of my receipts and all of the correspondence over to the Financial Ombudsman because I know that this company is lying and they are not being truthful with me.

I have also had issues with Lowell, who bought the debt from Vodafone. My dad offered to settle with Vodafone or pay in full, but they refused to accept it. Now, Lowell and TransUnion have put it on my credit report, which is completely wrong. When we would have paid this debt, it was only £500 in 2018, so I don't understand why Vodafone thinks they are owed over a grand. It's ridiculous.

I have lost my dad and it has been a difficult time for me. When they started doing this, it was in April 2021 and my dad had a blood clot to his brain and was blind in his right eye. He passed away two months later. Despite all of this, TransUnion and Lowell have continued to say that I owe them money, which is not true. I have shown the Financial Ombudsman my receipts and I know who the liar is now.

I am very concerned about TransUnion and I do not trust them at all. I asked them to investigate why my credit card was on my report and they lied to me and said that it was not showing. This is not true and it is on my credit report. They also have the wrong date of birth and they still haven't changed it when I told them. This company is very incompetent and I would not recommend them to anyone.

If you are thinking about using TransUnion, I would advise against it. They are liars and they will do whatever it takes, even if it means using illegal means, to get more money out of you. They have proven to me that they are not trustworthy and I wish I had never given them my details.

TransUnion Transunion website

I have been trying to pull my report for all most two months on their site with no luck. I cannot do anything on the site, just log in. After trying to get a credit card from amazon, they tried to pull my credit report at TransUnion but sad they could not pull it. So, I got on TransUnion site, chat with support and asked if my credit was blocked for some reason and they say no its not locked. So, I try it again and no luck. Same. Then I logged in at the other two, Experian and Equifax and everything is okay. So, I go back to TransUnion and get on chat and ask them what's up. And the Reply was, (we already resolved this issue} and cut the chat short. No help at all. I just checked my Experian and Equifax score, and it has dropped many points for no reason. My payment is always on time and, I always pay more than the minimum payment. I only have one card. Does TransUnion effect the other credit bureaus scores?

TransUnion Trans union credit scoring

I checked my credit score and transition is giving me a negative score for not having real estate. That it not right and should not allow my credit score to be lower due to that. I want to negative removed .

Also I have an excellent credit for over 20 years with no late payments and trans union has put me in a category and lowered my score due to have a lot of unused credit and a balance on my credit cards. I am using less than 30 percent of my credit and you are saying that’s bad and I am risky however I have a perfect credit history since 2000 so how can I be risky. Your company is unfair I have worked hard to make sure my credit is good and you have put me at a below 700 score when other credit agencies I am always between 720 and 750 . I am looking into finding a lawyer and I may sue your company because your scoring is unfair and has power to hurt what interest rates I get how much credit I would get if I was to purchase a car or home . I want you to fix this .

Desired outcome: I want it fixed my credit score should not be below the 700s I will sue your company if u don’t fix this Remove the negative scoring for not having a mortgage .

TransUnion FICO Scores

I currently have and maintain several credit cards that use Transunion for obtaining my FICO score.

Viewing these FICO scores today, 6/29/2023 I was able to determine the following information.

Transunion FICO score(s) information retrieved for the following credit cards:

Discover - 729

Barclays - 729

AmEx - 682

Capital One/Credit Wise/Vantage - 670

Which leaves a 59 Point difference?

Why, if the credit card companies are retrieving my FICO score over the same time period is there such a significant difference in my FICO score?

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a viable explanation as to how this discrepancy could occur?

TransUnion TransUnion.com Review: Disappointing Experience and Unethical Practices

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience on TransUnion's website (transunion.com). I mean, what's the point of paying for a membership when you can get the same perks from a regular ol' credit card app? I canceled my subscription the same day I signed up, but somehow I've been getting charged for almost two years now. How does that even happen? I called up their customer service, and the agent they recommended told me I still owed $500 for a subscription that I couldn't even access. That's just straight-up illegal, if you ask me.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this website to anyone. Especially after dealing with their customer service. It's like they don't care about your finances at all - they just want to take your money and run. It's unethical, disgraceful, and un-American. This company is a total shame.

So, save yourself the time, money, and mental health, and steer clear of TransUnion. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

TransUnion TransUnion Credit Monitoring Review: Poor Customer Service and Frequent Account Lockouts

TransUnion is a company that offers credit monitoring services to its customers. I have to say, my experience with them has been less than satisfactory. Their customer service is not up to par, and it's hard to understand some of their representatives because of their poor English. I subscribed to their credit monitoring service, which costs almost $30 per month. However, I have been having issues with my account being locked for "suspicious activity" all the time. I have to call them, and it takes me about 30 minutes to get through to them. Then I have to go through the verification process, and they finally unlock my account. But when I ask them what the suspicious activity is, they can't give me a straight answer. It's frustrating because a few days later, my account is locked again, and I have to call them back in. I don't want to spend an hour on the phone every week, unlocking my account so I can get alerts. It's ridiculous that a company like this is in charge of keeping all of our information. I have had a much better experience with Equifax, and I would recommend them instead. Don't waste your time with TransUnion; they're clowns.

TransUnion Beware of TransUnion: Inaccurate Criminal Charges and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with TransUnion that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had a background check done and was shocked to find that there were over twenty criminal charges listed on my report, including a felony. This was completely inaccurate and caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. Not only did it affect my personal life, but it also impacted my ability to be a guarantor on my daughter's lease.

Despite providing supporting documentation that proved I had no criminal history, TransUnion made virtually no effort to correct my report in a timely manner. I was told by their customer service representatives that they had thirty days to make any changes, but even then, they seemed to be dragging their feet. It was frustrating to deal with a company that didn't seem to care about the impact their mistakes were having on my life.

To make matters worse, my address, physical description, and birth name did not match the person with the criminal history. It was clear that there had been a mix-up somewhere along the line, but TransUnion didn't seem to be interested in fixing it. I was left feeling like just another number to them, rather than a real person with real concerns.

Thankfully, the landlord was willing to rent my daughter the apartment with my husband as a guarantor and my supporting documentation confirming that I have zero criminal history. However, I can't help but wonder how many other people have been negatively impacted by TransUnion's mistakes. It's a scary thought to think that a simple error on a credit report could ruin someone's credit, their ability to work somewhere, or their ability to rent.

In the end, I turned to another company, MBI Worldwide, to help me correct the report. They were excellent and corrected the report very quickly. Thanks to them, my employment was not affected and I was able to move on from this stressful experience. If you're considering using TransUnion, I would advise you to beware and proceed with caution. Their mistakes can have serious consequences, and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

TransUnion Terrible Customer Service and Money-Driven Tactics: My Frustrating Experience with TransUnion

I had a really frustrating experience with TransUnion yesterday. I was on hold for a whopping two hours, and today I've been on hold for an hour and a half. Yesterday, I got hung up on after waiting for 50 minutes. It's been a nightmare trying to get any help from them. They seem to be lazy and unhelpful, and I'm convinced that they're just after our money.

I've been having some technical problems with my banking app, and TransUnion is claiming that it's their fault because they're not providing my information to the bank. The app is supposed to be free, but TransUnion is insisting that they can't give my information to the bank. Bank of America, on the other hand, says that it's TransUnion's fault.

To make matters worse, TransUnion is refusing to give my bank my information and wants to charge me $10 for my score and information, which is supposed to be free. I'm currently back on hold, and it's been an hour and 40 minutes now. They're not willing to talk to my bank to resolve the issue, even though it's their fault. It's absolutely insane.

It seems like all they care about is making money, and they're willing to keep you on hold for hours on end to get it. They hope that you'll give up and just pay them. I'm so frustrated with TransUnion right now. They're the worst. I would recommend going anywhere else but here. They shouldn't even be in business.

TransUnion Frustrating Experience with TransUnion: Poor Customer Service and Outdated Processes

I've been trying to get my credit report updated for the past three weeks and I've contacted TransUnion multiple times. Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck with them. They don't have an option to email them a copy of a 0 balance letter, and the customer service representatives I've spoken to haven't been very helpful. They all sound like robots, repeating the same thing over and over again without actually answering my questions. It's frustrating because I feel like they don't care about me as a customer.

I don't understand why I can file a dispute online and provide documentation online, but I can't email them a 0 balance letter. It doesn't make sense to me. To make matters worse, they're currently experiencing technical difficulties, so the only way to get them the information they need is to send it in the mail. In this day and age, it seems ridiculous that I can't just send them a picture of the letter on Snapchat or something.

Overall, I feel like dealing with TransUnion has been a waste of my time. I don't know why they have so much power over my credit score, but I think it's time for the government to reconsider their decision. It's frustrating to feel like I have no control over something that affects my financial future so much.

TransUnion Unfair Credit Scoring: My Experience with TransUnion

Back in 2016, I was in a tight spot and almost had to file for bankruptcy because of a couple of projects that didn't go as planned. My credit score was in the dumps, and I knew I had to start rebuilding it from scratch. A few years ago, I was able to get a new credit card with a low credit line of $1700 to help me along the way. I've been using it regularly and paying it off on time to improve my credit score.

Last month, I went on a trip and used my credit card for gas, hotels, and other expenses. I planned to pay it off in full at the next billing cycle, just like I've been doing all along. However, to my surprise, TransUnion decided to lower my credit score by 40 points between billing cycles. It happened less than five days after I reached 80% usage, and I find it ridiculous.

I don't need anyone to explain to me how their algorithms work. I'm 55 years old, and I've been using credit cards for over 20 years for business purposes. I've often racked up bills of $10,000 to $15,000 on my AmEx between cycles, only to pay them off in full within a month or two. Their algorithms don't take into account the full picture, and they're not fair.

I'm tired of this nonsensical system that we're all slaves to. One size never fits all, and that's true for anything in life. I hope TransUnion and other credit bureaus will start taking a more holistic approach to credit scoring, one that considers people's individual circumstances and not just their credit utilization rates.

TransUnion Disappointing Customer Service and Inaccurate Reporting: My Experience with TransUnion

I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with TransUnion. The customer service is just plain awful - nobody seems to know what's going on with my credit score, even though I know for a fact that my student loans aren't due until 2024. They keep telling me to buy my report online for "current info," but why should I have to pay for something that they already have access to? It just seems like they're more interested in making money than actually helping out the consumer.

I mean, compare them to Experian - those guys actually know what they're doing. Every time I talk to a TransUnion agent, they just keep saying "umm, I'm not sure" or "it's not guaranteed you'll get your points back even after you pay it off." What kind of answer is that? It's like they're not even trying to help me out.

And don't even get me started on the reporting. They're always getting things wrong, and my score is way lower with them than it is with Equifax or Experian. I've got a 740 with those guys, but TransUnion has me at a measly 577. And when I ask them why, they can't even give me a straight answer.

Honestly, I'm at my wit's end here. I don't know what else to do except leave bad reviews and hope that someone at TransUnion finally decides to help me out. It's just so frustrating - I've got this $1,400 student loan that's tanking my score by 100 points, and nobody at TransUnion seems to have any idea how to fix it. I'm praying for a miracle at this point.

TransUnion Disappointing Customer Service and Credit Score System: My Experience with TransUnion

I've been on my credit journey for a couple of years now, and I have to say that my experience with TransUnion has been quite unique. Unfortunately, it hasn't been a positive one. I've had a few interactions with their agents, and I have to say that they haven't been very helpful. In fact, I've had a couple of instances where the agents have muted the calls, so they don't have to deal with my questions. It's frustrating because I'm trying to get answers to simple questions, and I can't seem to get any help.

One time, I was told that I was speaking with a supervisor, but the same outcome happened. I was left on the phone, and eventually, I was hung up on all three times. I even asked the supervisor for some kind of ID or reference number, but she told me that she couldn't provide that information. It's just terrible customer service. I mean, if you're going to claim that you're a supervisor, at least have the decency to provide some kind of identification.

I also had a chat experience with TransUnion, and it was just as bad. I had to keep repeating myself because the agent couldn't seem to understand my questions. It's just frustrating because I'm trying to get some guidance on my credit, and I can't seem to get any help.

To make matters worse, I noticed that my credit score decreased on TransUnion when I paid my credit card bill. I only use 30% of my balance, pay half of it 15 days prior, and then pay the remaining balance on the due date. It's just ridiculous that my score decreased even though I'm doing everything right. It's clear that their system is not designed for the consumer, and it's just frustrating that I can't get the guidance I need from their company.

Overall, my experience with TransUnion has been disappointing. Their customer service is terrible, and their system is not designed for the consumer. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for guidance on their credit journey.

TransUnion Scary Credit Bureau: Poor Customer Service and Outsourced Call Centers

This company is really scary. I got a credit freeze with them and the other credit bureaus, and I was trying to lift the freeze for just 48 hours while applying for something. Well, something simple quickly turns into a project...

First of all, their online website based system has not been accessible for two days now. You just get an error message. It's like they don't even care about their customers. And if you try to use their automated phone system, forget about it. You get an error there as well, after spending time putting in all your information. It's like they don't even want you to lift the freeze.

So, the last resort is to call an agent and do it manually with them. But then the PIN they sent you doesn't work either, so now the agent has to take you through all these security questions from your credit report, and it takes forever. And one of the reasons it takes forever is that when you call, you get someone in the Philippines or something, and they are hard to understand. So, this US based company, handling the highly sensitive information, outsources their call center work to to foreigners, in another country... huh? That's who you give your social security number to, and your address, etc. Very confidence inspiring indeed...

This company is really $#*!ty. I can't believe this can happen in today's world. But it's only because they don't have to answer to anyone. Customer service is an unknown concept to them. It's like they don't even care about their customers. It's really scary to think that they have access to all of our sensitive information. I don't trust them at all.

TransUnion Frustrating Experience with TransUnion: Lack of Customer Service and Control Over Our Credit

Oh my goodness! I can't believe that these privately owned organizations control our credit. It's crazy to think that our personal information could be compromised from within. As consumers, we have no way of knowing who has access to our information. We're told to send our identifying information through the mail or fax, which leaves our information exposed to anyone who sees it. I was told that my driver's license and social security number weren't stored, but someone still had access to it.

Let me tell you about my experience with TransUnion. In 2022, I tried to access my credit report online, but I couldn't. I never froze my file, so I didn't understand why I couldn't access it. I spoke to six different people, but none of them could help me. They all told me to speak with a special department, which I did. However, the people in that department were rude and sarcastic. They didn't seem to care about my problem at all.

After three hours of frustration, I finally spoke to someone in the specialized fraud department who was professional and competent. She explained that I would never be able to access my credit report online because someone had tried to use my social security number for fraud before. Can you believe it? I have to call in every time I want a copy of my report. It's insane!

I don't even know if what they told me is true. All I know is that I had to speak to numerous people and provide different case and file numbers before I finally spoke to someone who was helpful. It seems like everyone who works there is miserable and unhappy.

Overall, I'm not impressed with TransUnion. It's frustrating that they have so much control over our credit, and it's even more frustrating that they don't seem to care about their customers. If you have to deal with them, be prepared to speak to a lot of different people before you find someone who can help you.

TransUnion Customer service

There was a security breach at my place of work and we where told contact yourselves and Equifax to put a fraud alert on our credit reports. For the last day I have been trying to get this done to no avail. Customer Service via the chat box do not pay attention and repeatedly ask the same question. I did NOT become a member but created an email/login as I wasn't not getting anywhere in the chat or phone. I received a message that my details could not be verified and to contact a tech support. I called tech support who said she was able to fix the issue and therefore I could put a fraud alert online myself. Given the severity of the issue I asked if she could not do this. She said it was not her dept. I asked to be transferred to the appropriate dept as I had been given the runaround for over a day now. She kept repeating she was tech support. I increasingly lost my patience, and noted that I realized she was tech support but "yes or no" could she transfer my call. She then proceeded to END the call. And lo and behold I can't login or contact tech support as I get disconnected each time I call. This is so unprofessional and SHADY.

Desired outcome: Remove my email/login from your system. I want nothing to do with your company. I was invoiced zero dollars but I haven't even purchased anything. I do not trust your company.
