I booked 4 hotels room using Groupon for the 3rd time. This las time, on June 26,2022, upon arrival, I was told that everyone in my group needed to show a USA ID. This is not what Groupon fine print state. Their print say, if you book, you must have a USA ID, it doesn’t say everyone must have USA ID, plus the hotel never said that before. The hotel asked me ro reach out to Groupon and I did. Groupon asked me to wait in the lobby, that they were going to reach out to the hotel but they never did. The hotel charged me over $700 on top of the already paid reservation and Groupon sent me an email after 3 weeks telling me there was nothing to do. Their prints are not clear, they need to fix it an provide me with a refund. My reservation was for The Tropical Hotel at Livestyle Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic on June 26 to the 30. Also the hotel front desk doesn’t allow customers to speak to the manager. They stated that they don’t have a supervisor or that the manager can’t be bothered. Another front desk employee stated that maybe I don’t speak English and offered to translate for me, very disrespectful. Pedro Hernandez at the front desk was a bully, smiling and saying, the only way you are going to check in is oaying the extra money, there are no supervisor or manager here, we are our own bosses. Desired outcome: I am requesting a refund and they need to fix the prints for the deal. Also, the hotel need to train their front desk employee, very disrespectful people.
