Had a lcn 234 camera in the closet, when I finally got around to getting it installed, brand new sealed. Lorex stopped the app in the app store and the cameras are now paper weight. Called Lorex Canada, agent would not even give me a first name or ID number, tried emailing Reuben Klein (president of lorex) reuben.[protected]@lorexcorp.com , got a message blocked - so he must be some sort of God that is unaccesible to general public. The response lorex (BAD) customer service gave me was , ya buy another camera!
Would never buy another lorex product ever again!

This is the system we bought Dec 11 2022. Due to our schedule and weather we were unable to install until February. Right out of the box 1 out of the 8 cameras viewed pink. We tried other cables and locations no change. Finally had time to call only to find out we needed to be in location. Few days later called again they had us reset the button on the camera. Which they could have told me on the phone without being at the location. Well that didn’t even last 4 hours. Everyday we are going up the ladder to unscrew the the camera take it down and reset the button. One week if this. I call again and they want me to be at home to run a software update. But they want me to have a laptop or computer with flash drive. I explained i dont have one they say go to a library borrow one. I say if 7 cameras work and one doesn’t then why would it be the software. Take the bad camera back and replace it with one that works. She said can’t do that. Really you want be to borrow a lap top and climb up and Dow a ladder to my roof outside everyday. This is ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Replace the one camera that isn’t working.

I have the same exact problem and going through the same issue. Without understanding the issue, they simply say, you need to be at the location. I had already tried all they wanted me to try and still insist to go to the location again and try. If 7 out 8 Camera work and one is not working, it is definitely an issue with the camera. Very poor customer service and will not use Lorex product anymore.

After many years of product working fine, all of the sudden they stopped the record/playback feature from working.
It's not that they stopped offering upgrades, they actually put in software, so older system would no longer work, or even allowing an older release that worked, to be re-installed.
I would never trust them, or any company that tries to force you to upgrade, by intentionally breaking primary working features.
That they stopped adding software to maintain it, or stopped adding new features would be understandable, but intentionally break it, is beyond belief...or insane business practice. They obviously don't understand the meaning of customer loyalty.

Product Support for the 4K Active Deterence Wired Security System
I purchased this system and I had an electrician install it. The problems I have been having is with the program not working or NOT saving changes, the infra red works when it wants too, as well as the motion /deterrence lights!
I have yet to see ANY DOCUMENTATION that explains and/or helps with understanding and setting up the deterrence schedule! Only 0 - 24, but is the real times, how does one actual set up times from 9pm to let's say 2am?
Customer service is HORRIBLE, noone listens to the purpose of the call or issue. NOthing gets resolved.
Desired outcome: I want someone to contact me ASAP, that will listen carefully, understand, addresses the issue that I am complaining about and can clearly explain and fix the problems!
Lorex smart detection systems
My 8 camera smart detection system does not work for vehicles very well. Shadows set it off constantly. The person detection is set off by crows, squirrels, and raccoons.
I am very disappointed in this detection system. The small animal detection doesn't bother me much because it isn't constant, but the shadows setting off the vehicle detection is a real pain. To get a hundred or more false detections in an hour, this is ridiculous.
I have worked with customer support to make sure my settings are correct and they cannot correct the problem. They basically tell me I have to live with it. Very disappointing to purchase a top of try e line system only to have a much inferior system.
I have 3 game cameras that never have a false detection, they use thermal detection so bugs and other false detections just don't happen. I would think LOREX, having been part of the FLIR group at one time, would be far advanced over other security systems.

Product added warranty under 60 day lorex purchases
To whom it may concern,
Purchased Lorex one camera LW4211B and one 4K ultra HDD model D841A8B-Z under order L1224818 on June21/21 and wanted to purchase a 5 year warranty for each item that were purchased within the 60 day period of day purchased and is still under the 60 day purchased period but was refused by Lorex reps on Aug28/21.
Note I have been a valuable customer for years and now being refused a warranty purchase on items that qualify will make me think twice about ever purchasing or saying anything nice about Lorex and I will let everyone I can know what happen to me. Please contact me if Lorex has any heart on doing the right thing on my request. There still is time.

product delays, faults promises on delivery, replacement, parts delays given tracking number for incorrect part but for earlier part delivered
On Dec. 2, 2019, I was given a tracking #, 1z4r79810301933883, for a replaceement part - camera. Upon checking, it was a part that was delivered on Nov. 22, 2019 for an Adapter - not camera that i'm expecting. Not Very Please & Disturb with this. I was told that the replacement Camera, for my cctv was on delivbery, week of Nov. 25, 2019. I had to call again to confirm on Dec. 2, 2019. This is typical of Lorex Technoplogy. Delays, Inform customers that your, "It's Approved and we have it on order", "we sorry...". In the meatime, the warranty on the cctv product is coming to a close. I have had it w/Lorex Technology. My next step is to bring this matter to the ATTORNEY GENERAL TO MY STATE! I will sent back the Entire cctv product back to lorex. I will receive Return Shipping Labels and RECEIVE FULL REFUND from lorex. Case #940660, Model #DV908D, LHVZ58C040DC678. I am determine to get FULL REFUND and will bring this matter to Attorney General. No more EXCUSES nor Apologies. Thank you.
Don't even waste your time with this product. The customer service dept. are all in this Lies and faults to the customer when you need a replacement part. Go with another cctv brand.
I purchased a 4 camera system from lorex in May of 2021.I needed a fifth camera so I purchased a fifth camera in June of 2021. When I received the camera I tried to pair it paired fine went to go outside and install camera and camera shut down went back and paired camera again. Camera would not pair and completely shut off tried different batteries nothing would work. Called lorex explained the situation went through their speel. Nothing worked so they sent me a new camera. Now the new camera purchased in June 2021 quit working and guess what out of warranty can't replace camera. Camera is 17 months old paid $150.00 dollars for single camera. This is my second system from lorex and will be the last one will definitely purchase different brand.

I purchased a four camera system less than two years ago for the express purpose of reviewing activity where they are installed remotely - meaning while I am away from the premises. Just last month Lorex announced that they would no longer support the Lorex Secure app and forced me to try the Lorex Cirrus and Lorex EcoStratus app...neither works. I spent more than eight (8) hours on the phone with technical service, sales and customer service personnel who are all polite and sound cooperative and attempt to be helpful however there is a dark side to this company. They KNOW that the ECO series equipment cannot work with the new app and all customers who faithfully invested now have worthless equipment. This is a travesty on so many levels as Lorex was once touted as a premier manufacturer with leading edge systems...no longer. I have exhausted my patience and feel betrayed by this company. DO NOT BUY any Lorex equipment or you too could be left in the cold and out hundreds of dollars. Such a pity.

After much prodding LOREX customer service made return of security camera package deal that had lower resolution, then with even more prodding it took 1 month to finally expedite the right order; and then only to discover that some of the new security cameras would not film in color as was ordered. This is a buyers' nightmare. I feel disrespected and cheated for my time and money spent as an online customer. Even if they advertise as leaders in developing security camera technology I will not recommend LOREX.

I tried to get a warranty exchange on a two month old camera and got the usual offshore script reader when I finally got someone to answer the line. One week later and still the same runaround. They want me to connect the camera back up to the nvr which is at my snowed in cabin. The camera does not power up and no evidence of the relay click noise for the night vision. Swapped it out with a spare camera and everything is working at the cabin. They just wont exchange the new camera. Do not do business with the company.
Looks like this is an ongoing issue with Lorex. Such a large company should have a better customer service. Do they do it on purpose sending one defect camera with every package? I see many complaints that one of out 8 camera doesn't work. How could one be a defective and why not they exchange to save the reputation of the company.

I have complained to lorex about their device and its defectiveness. On february 2018, I asked if they could consider switching the device for another make and model. They agreed. However, when I contact customer service I was told that this was not doable. I was offered a replacement and it was never sent. A third replacement. I have asked for a refund and it was never sent. Today, I receive a message stating that they cannot refund me because it is passed the policy timeframe for a refund of 60 days. They were put on notice before the 60 days and drag the issue out long enough for me to fall out of the warranty for receiving a new device. Beware! The company is a sham. They are not credible and they are crooks.in spite of this, the device failed to record important incidents that I will not detail here. Now, I have no evidence to support my allegations. This is awful. There were injuries and harassments that took place... No evidence. Thank you lorex technology.

Honestly, this was the worst online experience I have ever had. Absolutely everything was terrible and I have nothing good to say.
I bought a camera that broke too fast. You gave me a terrible runaround before replaced it.
People, it's terrible, never deal with them and stay away. I don't want anyone to go through the same. It's very irritating to be ignored for several days to finally hear nothing instead. No service, no qualified help, nothing. Frustrated.
Please do not buy anything from this company! This bunch can not speak english and will take you for a big ride! They will not give you what you ordered and then claim it is an upgrade, but really it will be with a refurbished system or an older system that you thought and paid for a NEW system! Lorex will also send out stuff that you have not ordered or things that you have canceled and still charge you for! Lorex is a bad company to do business with and will steel any info that your system has! If you have a lorex system unplug it from the internet, because they use your videos as a advertisement for themselves! You will NOT get paid for this adds they make! If you inquire about something with customer service they will charge you for what you looked at and send it out and charge you for the product that you only asked about, if they have your credit card number with a previous purchase! I know this all happened to me! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from them!
system stuck in "authorization" mode
The Lorex support department is absolutely terrible. If you call the phone line they literally never answer. I sat on hold one day for an hour and a half while I handled some work at home and nobody ever came to the line. If you email them their response is spotty at best. hard to reach customer service
I've purchased Lorex Technology security cameras and when I installed them following all the instructions there was no picture. I was not able to install cameras on my own, so I called Lorex Technology and asked someone to come to my place and help me with the cameras. They said someone will come the next day but no one showed up. I called them every day and finally about two weeks later someone finally arrived. I wasted so much time and nerves arguing with them. This was the first time when I literally had to beg someone to come and help me. I'm very disappointed with Lorex Technology especially with their terrible service.

I've purchased six Lorex Technology security cameras for my office about three months ago. After two months of using two cameras stopped working. I contacted Lorex customer service and described the situation. I asked was it possible for someone from their company to arrive and fix and they said no. Then I asked them to explain via phone what options do I have and how to fix them. They said that they were not able to explain because it was too difficult. Then I tried to get these two replaced but suddenly they started to blame me and said that I did something wrong while installed. Received absolutely zero help from them.
the monitor broke after a month
I have purchased wireless monitor from Lorex Technology. It broke after a month. I called to this company almost every day and wanted to get replacement, because I have paid for the warranty. But these guys didn’t react to my emails and phone calls. I have no idea what to do now and how to solve the situation. We ordered 10 security cameras from the company www.lorextechnology.com. We needed them as soon as possible. And the rep told us that it was ok, and they would provide them on time. After 5 days the rep told that they have some problems, but they would solve them soon. After another 7 days these liars found other problems, why the order couldn’t be delivered. Stay away from them, because they couldn’t provide necessary stuff and did it on time.
seller charged me for delivery, but it must be for free
The seller www.lorextechnology.com offered free delivery for the order over $30. My ordered was over $200, so I didn’t pay for the delivery of course. I paid with my card and got the confirmation email, but these jerks didn’t deliver my order. As well as the seller charged me for delivery and he did it after he sent me the confirmation info. WTF? I asked to return my money, but they immediately stopped to communicate with me. Please, post comments about this company and their services.
