Dear Better Business Bureau,I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Maco Management, the company responsible for managing the Bertrand Estates apartment complex in Bertrand, Missouri. My name is Jessica Earnheart, and I am a tenant who has recently been subjected to what I believe is a wrongful eviction under distressing and inhumane circumstances. I am in low income housing and HUD pays my rent and sends me a monthly check in the amount of $98 and I was summoned to court in april over an eviction for non payment of back rent? I went to court and was advised by New Madrid Family resource center in order for them to help me with rent relief I needed the judge to sign an eviction. I told Judge Rob Barker and he asked if they had funds to help me I replied yes. Maco Management has refused payment and will not return and phone calls to anyone regarding this matter. As a victim of domestic violence and rape, my home was supposed to be a place of safety and stability. However, on July 1st, I was abruptly evicted from my apartment by Maco Management without a valid reason. The eviction occurred during extreme weather conditions, with temperatures reaching 100°F. I was forced to leave my home with only my three pets and the clothes I was wearing. I was not allowed to take any of my personal belongings, including food and water.Furthermore, the locks to my apartment were changed immediately, preventing me from accessing my property. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with Maco Management to resolve this issue and retrieve my belongings, I have been met with silence. Additionally, I have been threatened with arrest if I am seen on the property. This situation has also affected my employment. I work for another tenant within the apartment complex, and due to these circumstances, I am no longer able to perform my job, resulting in further financial and emotional distress.I believe that Maco Management's actions are not only unethical but also in violation of my rights as a tenant. Their behavior has caused significant hardship and suffering for me and my pets. I am now homeless, with no place to go and no way to support myself. I am requesting the Better Business Bureau's assistance in investigating this matter and holding Maco Management accountable for their actions. I seek the following resolutions:Immediate reinstatement of my tenancy and access to my apartment and belongings. An official apology from Maco Management for their treatment of me and my pets. Compensation for the emotional distress and financial loss caused by this wrongful eviction.Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your prompt response and assistance in resolving this issue.

Sincerely,

Jessica Earnheart
