membership and card use not authorized
Hi I paid the remainder of a gift card to get my girlfriend a for a gift. They unknowingly kept my card on file and used it for a membership. I contacted the store where it happened and they told me the front desk guy made a mistake but will do nothing to correct it. I have not authorized them to put my card on file nor at anytime have I signed up for anything. THIS IS THEFT.
experience I received at your st george location this morning
To whom it may concern at Massage Envy Corporate,
Horrible experience as I scheduled an appointment this morning with Susan at this location listed above..I have been a member of massage envy for over 10 years and usually have great experiences. I had scheduled a 90 minute massage deep tissue. I show up and she persists in letting me know that she cannot give a the deep tissue massage and was insulting me as to "why the staff" didn't express that to her when making the appointment. She was argumentative as to how SHE will give the massage and declined to listen to my needs. I asked the front desk staff to give me the owners number to express my concern. Owner is Roy. Have yet to hear from him on this awful experience. I drove 2 hours from Las Vegas early to make this morning appointment. I am going to take this up the ladder to corporate as to how this therapist and staff have zero interest in resolving/listening to concerns. I feel it is important to express views good or negative. I literally left with my jaw dropped after this awful experience. Doug Scott [protected]
appointment cancelled
A few weeks ago I purchased two gift cards at the Massage Envy in Garden City New York I made 3 appointments for me, my mom and sister. While I was in their parking like 10 minutes before my appointment, I got a call to cancel my appointment "the therapist was having car trouble". You mean to tell me that we were the last appointments and that the therapist was coming in to do just 1 massage and leave? It figures because I was the only one that hadn't paid for my services yet so I guess it was me they would cancel. I requested refunds for the gifts cards I purchased for my mom and sister and they refunded me. I'm taking my buisness somewhere else!
charged for visit I did not attend
I want to 1. Cancel my membership effective immediately and 2. Complain and get a full refund for a charge I did not authorize.
Last month on or around July 29, 2018, I scheduled a massage and a facial for a day in the future. Leaving the massage center, I did not have a pen. After 10 years, I am accustomed to receiving a reminder call or recently TEXT advising me of the appointment. This month, for the first time, I DID NOT RECEIVE A TEXT. No one called me until Sunday at 3:41PM to remind me I had a 5PM appointment. I was at Church at a Baptism event and did not have my telephone on. I never knew of the appointment and therefore, I called this morning to discuss the matter. I spoke with a representative, LUIS at this store and he told me they do text 24 hours in advance - all customers. I was the exception. They forgot to text me. I was the only person who did not receive a text. Tonight, the manager who called whose name was "Delynis" who was extremely rude (please listen to her call @ 8:15PM 08/27/2018). She attempted to say that the text was merely a "courtesy". Therefore, I asked her...did you stop making the texts or calls? She said, no. They still did. She said they only made TEXTS now. I told her, you did not text to remind me. She insisted, it's only a courtesy. My point is, why I am the only guest NOT to receive the courtesy text? If one of their employees made a mistake, why couldn't they admit their error and delete the charge. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. They won't take responsibility for their mistakes.
I do not wish to do business with them anymore. I also want to get a full refund for them charging me without authorization.
Thank you for your attention

scheduling
We made a couples massage appointment at the Loehmann's plaza massage envy in Sacramento for tomorrow 8/26/18. We made the appointment some time ago, and received texted confirmation yesterday. About one or two hours ago (less than 24 hours until our appointment) we received a call that the couples room was overbooked and our appointment was canceled, but maybe we could reschedule some time.
This was a problem in a couple of different ways. First, it was obviously that someone the front desk person liked better wanted a couples' massage and so we were bumped. The "overbooked" story was an obvious lie; we have been massage envy customers for years and know the computer doesn't do that.
Second, we travel a lot, and it is very difficult to nail down times for massages, even though we need them for our health. My husband had a heart attack last month, so i'm not kidding around.
It is not that easy to just shift appointments around between the various jobs we do in the various states we do them in.
poor management and customer service
A friend of mine was sexually assaulted and molested here where I was an employee and because I reported the incident after my friend told me what had happened . I was then fired by the manager, Nadine Mohammad. My friend was traumatized and informing the manager what had happened not only was she unempathetic to my friend, the victim but she was very rude and screamed at me how this was such a huge deal. How can you fire an employee for reporting a crime ? This is not right !

I was then fired by the manager, Nadine Mohammad. My friend was traumatized and informing the manager what had happened not only was she unempathetic to my friend, the victim but she was very rude and screamed at me how this was such a huge deal and suggested that my friend was not telling the truth. This was such a unbelievable response from someone who I originally looked up to for her professionalism and work ethic. So I went my way, lost my job here but still did what was right the massage therapist who did this to my friend was fired since the report as well as myself. Women I suggest you all get massages by a female therapist and men I suggest you all get massages by male therapists to lessen the chances of inappropriate sexual conduct situations being created.
fired for reporting a sexual harassment incident
I recently was working at massage envy part time learning the front desk all because one of my friends, new girlfriends asked me to so I did and I began learning the massage envy system, products and service wheel. When a mutual friend of all of us was visiting and was offered a discounted massage by The Massage Envy manager Nadine Melissa Mohammed and was invited for a massage service. After the service I spoke with my friend and was told that the massage therapist Massage Envy - East Hollywood preformed some inappropriate actions during the service ( for details on that part you can view the report channel 7 news captured) I immediately called the manager and reported what I had just been told by my friend and this put the entire clinic in a panic . Since then the massage therapist has been fired and so have I for reporting the incident and not allowing it to be swept under the rug . Every year women and even men get sexually assaulted and lines of what is acceptable and what is professional are crossed more often than is known. I do my best to avoid drama and controversy but some things cannot just be left ignored because now it has happened to a close friend of mine and I have lost one of my closest childhood friends as well and I'm not cool or Ok with it. However I will continue to stand by my friend and continuously remind her that what happened and what was done to her by this massage therapist was and is and never will be OK and that she is the victim and it is not her fault .

customer service at the palmdale, ca site
I have been calling for several weeks to request that my account be frozen. I have some financial hardships and have 6 unused massages, so I requested that my account hold off on dedications for the next six months.
Last weekend I was told I would get a form via email to complete and that they would stop withdrawing in my account, so I checked all week and saw nothing. I called again and indicated I never got the form. At this point the young lady told me they didn't have my email account! Go figure, I have had the account for 3 years so how could they not have my email?
The young lady last week told me I could freeze the account for a cost of $10 per month for the duration of 6 months. When I called today, I was told that now it is $20.
I called again and asked to speak to a manager and was told she would arrive at 12:30 p.m. They would give her the message and she would call me. I waited until 2:40 p.m. And called again. This time it went to voicemail!
I have asked on several occasions to speak to the owner and have been reminded I can only speak to a manager. UGH!
I am so frustrated and so disappointed with this company.
I am getting ready to go online and tell all the awful things they have done to me during the past three years and now this is the worst!
sexual assault
I was sexually assaulted at a Massage Envy. I requested a refund on my remaining sessions due to this. It is being mishandled by the manager, and franchise owner. They want to refund in the form of a gift card only from the date I last used a service. Because they think "I didn't feel unsafe until that point" I'm being urged to take this to court by a therapist and legal council. I've been trying to work with them since February. I called corporate and left a message over a week ago, and still haven't heard back.
I don't want this to go to court. I would like my money refunded for the unused sessions and to sign a non disclosure agreement.
refusal of services u warranted
I have been going to massage envy Costa Mesa for years. I was accused of being on drugs and intoxicated by assistant manager Tia and or Skyler with absolutely no reason given and no basis for such claims. I am sober. When confronted and after much discussion, they realized a mistake was made. Styler went into the office, wrote a letter to management re a hurt shoulder and then added to the refusal that he was in pain as well. I offered drug testing but both refused. I then paid for a drug test performed by an authorized legal representative.

debbie, front desk personnel at grand dunes myrtle beach sc
I had an apt for a chemical peel on June 13. I was told I could not be seen when I arrived because my son was with me. He is 9 and very well behaved. I was told the rooms were too small for him. I drive 1.5 hrs to Massage Envy at Grand Dunes Myrtle beach SC. I missed a half of day of work to be turned away. I ask Debbie that day would I be charged and I was told no, that I would not be charged. I returned 2 weeks later for the chemical peel and was told on that date that I was not charged for the previous visit. Well, I was charged and it has been awful to get it refunded. DEBBIE IS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND NASTY. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY MASSAGE ENVY WOULD KEEP SUCH A PERSON ON STAFF.
cancelation fee
I called to schedual an appointment on friday for sunday (july 1). I told her I wanted a 60 min. Deep tissue massage. It was scheduled couples massage. No other questions asked. I have never been to massage envy. Sunday, today, I called to make sure my appointment was at noon. It was but no deep tissue therapist. I asked to reschedual since that is what I asked for. She said yes with a cancelation fee. I was confused, there was no mention of a cancellation fee ever when I booked it. I told her that. She refused and said she always mentions the cancellation fee. I know 100% she did not because I wouldve asked more about it. Its not right that I had no knowledge of the fee about a place I never been to. She shouldve mentioned that important piece to the customer. And I dont believe I should be charged, I dont have a problem to reschedual for the right therapist I am willing to pay for. But I do have a problem with the cancellation fee that there was no mention whatsoever by your employee.
new massage envy cream used for massages.
I have been a member of ME for about 7 years and Ihave always loved the Massage cream that your establishments used! I loved that it was thick, non greasy, and unscemted. I just
finished with my monthly massage and the first thing I noticed was how thin and non- penetrating the lotion seemed to be. I get a deep tissue massage, so it was definitely noticeable when my therapist was trying to use firm pressure. I asked about it, and was told that it is a new product. I'm sending this to you now to ask you to please go back to using the previous cream (Biotin, I think it was called). I had a wonderful massage, but it could have been much better with the previous cream. Why change something that was so great with just a meteocre replacement?
unauthorized credit card charges
Since June 2016 I made attempts to cancel services with Massage Envy. I consulted with the local office where I was service and was instructed to send an email to: [protected]@massageevy.com. In addition to sending email I also called the office and no one ever returned my call nor replied to my emails. I have not used services of Massage Envy.
I have been unemployed for several months and reported to dispute these charges again to my Credit Card Management (DiscoverCard). They in turn stopped payment, however, I was only reimbursed 1/4 of my fee of back charges ($700.00?). DiscoverCard billing stated they've tried several times to contact Massage Envy:
Massage Envy
Apple Valley #621

Apple Valley, CA 92308
to no avail, e.g, left several messages for a couple of weeks and no one ever returned the call. I will like compensation for full back pay of charges incurred.
I have a copy of the email(s) of 2016.
Sincerely,
N Williams
facial and massage services
Hello,
I received a Massage Envy gift certificate for Christmas! I finally had the opportunity to use it.
I scheduled a one hour facial and one hour massage. During the facial the esthetician talked a lot and was loud at times. She seemed in a hurry.
The massage therapist talked for a while about her personal life. There was no relaxation.
Not a very comfortable experience. I wish I could get my gift certificate back.
Sincerely,
Janet Raftery
contract
I've requested to cancel my contract based on terrible customer service. At this point the staff and the manager Ryan in particular have made me feel too embarrassed to even return to the location at all. They will not tell me how to get out of the contract I have no desire in continuing. I feel mistreated. I complained to the BBB in the matter. Ryan responded with name calling and insults on my person. So you can understand why I refuse to step foot in there again. I sent a rebuttal to the BBB response and got nothing back. I'm very disappointed. Please help me since I can't get help from the person operating this branch.
cancellation of membership
I have called 5 times to Massage envy at 7610 Hazard Center Dr. San Diego, CA 92108, I have talked with different employees about my situation almost a month ago, already.
I completed my membership in April but my husband did not. He has the membership until September. I got new orders from NAVY to move to Puerto Rico. Massage Envy is not there. We ca not do the credits there, then, several employees told me that he had credit in May and now in June. They said I will heard from the manager...never called. I moved to PR, and I just want to cancel the membership because if not, I will pay more than 300.
poor customer service
In May while vacationing in South Florida I got a wonderful massage from Vonita at M.E. in Clearwater, FL. My friend is a ME member and suggested we drive to Clearwater to get massages. I was so pleased that I bought a membership. When I returned home I got a nice massage from Wendy at the LR Midtown location. HOWEVER, I was treated very SNIPPY by the desk staff over a coupon for a free 30 minute facial that came with my package. There was no manager there, but I spoke via phone the next day. The manager wanted to speak to the owner before resolving the SIMPLE issue with me. THERE WAS NO" WHAT CAN WE DO TO SOLVE THIS", nor was there any sort of "WE WANT TO KEEP OUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY". The next day the manager called and simply said, "THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. It is our prerogative to opt out of any coupons or offers we choose".
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN! There was no offer of compromise, no "let me see what I can do to help resolve this experience ", NOTHING!
Not having a PhD, or Master's in Business I am not an authority on business communications. BUT I can tell you the LR Midtown M.E. has no PR skills what so ever!
