There was a $39.00 unauthorized charge on my credit card. I didn't even give them my credit card number! (Where'd they get it?) I can understand why banks pay the requested charge, because there is NO PROOF that the victim did not offer to pay! These shiesters are smart. All of the "executives" appear to have strong, honest backgrounds, but I doubt the bio written for each one belongs to that person - or - perhaps the person doesn't really exist? No one answers at the phone numbers listed. Time for thievery to end. Judging from all of the complaints about them, they need to be shut down permanently.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am having a simular expierence with this company as well. Even if I did supply them with a debit card number they charged it without me updating the information. That card had expired and they put in a bogus expireration date and submitted a charge anyway. That pratice should be illeagal. Slimy slimy BS if you ask me! I intend to take legal action.
Memory Lane bought Classmates.com and has taken all non-renewing accounts and put them on automatic renewal. I wrote the company and they told me that their website says there are no refunds. The only problem is I NEVER WENT TO THEIR WEBSITE. I did sign up for one year of Classmates.com three years ago but opted out of the repeat billing. Memory Lane very deceitfully changed my account status and charged me $39.00. I'm disputing this charge and contacting the BBB and my local attorney general. This might be a good class action lawsuit.
I discovered that I had been billed without my permission. I did not authorize an automatic renewal of this plan. I would like a refund and discontinue the service. HELP
I think there a BS company anyways...you can find anyone you want to on FACBOOK with out paying money. My girlfirend is going through it right now! Not even a warning. We sent them an email requesting to be removed from the site because the stuff on it is 10 years old. Ask for it to stop remove all info, not for a login, not for a password, etc. But she got $39.00 charge to her credit card now we have to fax back and forth a FRAUD AFFIVIDAT, plus change a credit card! CLOSE THE SITE DOWN AND HEAD TO FACEBOOK!
Me too. Just got another unauthorized charge this week. Turned off the auto renewal several times and somehow it gets turned back on without my authorization. I think it's time for them to be shut down until this stops!
Would be a great tool if it wasn't ran by thiefs!
Same thing happens to me.
Canceling my credit card to stop it. The Feds need to put a stop to this.
