I don't know of a better company to get your solar panels or wind power products from that thee venerable Missouri Wind and Solar! I live in the *** area where you can get anything at anytime, but I couldn't find what I wanted. Missouri Wind and Solar to the rescue! don't let any EFFing troll tell you that Missouri Wind and Solar is bad. every time I've called to ask questions they were kind and very helpful. If and when I need anything they sell, they will be the first place I go to. need help figuring out how to do something, check out Missouri Wind and Solar *** channel, *** has a ton of informational videos to how to everything wind and solar.I would like to personally thank *** for his help, thanks ***, you're the BEST!
Missouri Wind and Solar is a wonderful company with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff
Missouri Wind and Solar is a wonderful company with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I purchased a complete, custom to my needs, 4K solar system from them over a couple of months and installed it myself. My very first solar project! *** was awesome, I told him what I wanted to accomplish, how much I was willing to spend, and he provide exactly what I asked for, filling in the blanks for my ignorance of course! The equipment he recommended was incredible, no way I could have identified and purchased these components on my own. I learned a lot, have a very solid system and am very pleased. I will certainly do business with them again for any and all of my renewable energy projects. They are truly and awesome company trying to help people. Thanks so much to your team! Fast shipping too!
Bought 3 MidNite Solar DIN rail breakers 12A. Order placed on 28 Dec 22, shipped on 29 Dec 22 with tracking number. Received 10 days later (I live in Canada and the company is in the USA so this was expected). Got what I paid for. Very satisfied with products.
I purchased my first Sol-Ark Hybrid System from Mo. Wind and Solar. Even though I have installed many off-grid system this was my first grid-tie system. I found Mo. Wind and Solar's pricing to be competitive but more important I appreciated their technical support. The Sol-Ark Hybrid System design is unique when compared to OutBack, Magnum and Midnite Solar that I am more familiar with. MW&S technical support team were readily available in answering all my question regarding wiring and configuration issues. Thanks MW&S
Got my order in less than a week. Unit was well packed. Item included clear and simple instructions and worked as advertised. Pleased with the entire experience.
Good, reliable products that come with instructions and web videos on the instillation and or build-out of the system you are trying to put together. Ordering was easy from the website, and product was at my door within a week.
My 4-star rating is higher than perhaps it should be, here is the good and the not quite as good
My 4-star rating is higher than perhaps it should be, here is the good and the not quite as good. Good Customer service has been fast and courteous Ordering, shipping, and receiving was simple and efficient Not quite as good The wind turbine mount we ordered came with no packing slip, installation instructions, owner's manual, drawings, or technical specifications, therefore we had to back engineer the product, produce a detailed 3D model and have a structural engineer provide calculations to satisfy the local AHJ for permit requirements. Suggestions for improvement Have you catalog cut sheets available as PDFs to download that show all dimensions, wind load calculations, etc. this is normally provided by any manufacturer, be those solar modules (panels), inverters, wind turbines, rails, fasteners, etc.
I had an issue and was responed too quickly and with the appropriate information. Will buy again when needed. Very plaesed with purchase.
I bought 2000 Watt Freedom Wind turbine kit and inverter. Fine quality, answered all my questions. I got plenty of wind, I am happy.
We had super fast shipping, the product looks great, but as far as testing the voltage on the VRD our wind generator doesn't get high enough to trip it, now we have some added protection. Thanks for the great product.
Parts arrived quickly. The parts were great quality and very good price.
For an older man of 66 starting to learn about wind power I DO THINK I WENT WITH THE RIGHT COMPANY to get me going
For an older man of 66 starting to learn about wind power I DO THINK I WENT WITH THE RIGHT COMPANY to get me going. ( Buck ) the sales man that is helping me understand how my wind mill works, so far I love my choice of company's that is going to help me get the best out of the wind mill that I went with. I`m taking my time at doing every thing the right and easy way. Now I am mounting all the control Pcs. ( Rectifier, Load Dump , and the other control items ) I know I will get stuck again, and I know I will be calling ( Buck ) again to get me going. ( Buck ) is going to be getting called again about adding a Solar Panel or 2 to help with the day`s I have no wind. The Video's are also a big help to me.Solar will be added in the Spring. While digging the ditch for my Conduit I put a 2nd. conduit in the ground for my wiring for Solar.Thank You
I highly recommend Missouri Wind & Solar. Their customer service was helpful, quick and responsive. They shipped my amp meter out promptly. Could not have asked for an easier process.
Good honest company. They have been very helpful in answering a question I had. Thank you.
I highly recommend Missouri Wind & Solar. The best way to go, it beats the ole blow a fuse and toss it out ... the best thing is when you blow these you just wait for a cool down reset it and you back up and going.. I should of listen to fellow friends when they told me to go this way. many times, I had to wait till I got my hands on a replacement fuse to only have it blow the next time i put under a heavy load. I was just to hardheaded to change it out it was easy to replace a blown fuse than to take time out to do it this way... Sad part it only took less than 15mins to switch it out and that included finding the tools to do it.
My orders are always filled and delivered quickly. They are always accurate. The quality of the components is always great.
I ordered a solar airiator for my pond
I ordered a solar airiator for my pond. I am very pleased with the direction and technical direction in assisting me to order the best solution for my need. Unlike most places at this time I had a individual that was well versed in the components and assembly as well as explanation of the installation of the unit that I purchased. The folks that have the knowledge of products and field experience is becoming a rare experience today. I am very pleased with the ordering experience and the delivery was exceptional with packaging and protection of components was so good I call to compliment the folks. I read reviews and really didn't experience anything but top drawer professionalism with my purchase. I do not put much weight in the whiney complainers weaponizing their keyboards these days. These folks are professionals in regards to my experience.
It has been a really nice process with the guys at Missouri Wind & Solar
It has been a really nice process with the guys at Missouri Wind & Solar. My husband has called them many times with questions. And every time Sam or Bud spent the time he needed to go over the questions or concerns. And helped walk him through setting up a wind turbine. My husband is a high end by the book machinist. Old school. He could fabricate the stand but when it came to the electrical set up he needed support and got it! Never did these guys loose patience. Anytime he called they walked my husband through the set up. And now we have a Windmill up and running. Now we want to add solar and we will definitely be going to Missouri wind and solar for our next set up! We now will not need to use our gas generators to run our freezer or refrigerator to keep our food cold. You can run out of gas but not wind or solar. Great Customer Service! *** in West Linn Oregon

Decided to add a wind turbine to supplement my solar array particularly during the shorter and more cloudy winter days
Decided to add a wind turbine to supplement my solar array particularly during the shorter and more cloudy winter days. *** was great throughout the entire process. Once I began assembling the tower, I discovered one set of the 8 tower braces was not included. Instead I had received duplicate sets of one of the lengths. *** responded to my call and had the missing set sent my way promptly. He also answered my few questions concerning tower grounding and electrical connections at the turbine. The youtube video showing the tower erection was flawless. I used some nylon rigging straps I already had on hand and easily pulled the tower up with only my winch on my Polaris electric UTV. The tower has been up and running for exactly one month and has worked as expected. There have already been several days that it has provided enough charge for my offgrid system that I have not needed to run my LP generator to recharge my batteries in the evening because the winter day was extremely cloudy. I definitely would recommend Missouri W & S!
I purchased a pump aeration system from MWS in June and installed it around the first of July
I purchased a pump aeration system from MWS in June and installed it around the first of July. This winter I discovered the pump running but not moving air. When I looked at the motor, the plastic encasing the magnet and the coils was melted. When I reassembled the pump with the magnet aligned it pumped air. Because of the melting, I returned the pump for warranty work. MWS stated they replaced the diaphragms (which were not faulty) and magnet and it worked fine. They would not replace the coils. They would not replace the pump under the 3 year warranty. I talked to the manufacturer and they would not replace the pump. I gave them the information regarding the kit I purchased from MWS. The kit is sold with the wrong size of sinking hose for that pump which could result in overheating. MWS had no response. I wrote a review of the kit on their website and because it was negative it has not been posted. MWS was responsive in communications but selling a mismatched pond aeration kit and then not honoring the pump warranty is wrong.
MW&S is a quality developer and provider of the best do-it-yourself components that I have found
MW&S is a quality developer and provider of the best do-it-yourself components that I have found. I have been using you now for over and had not had to contact them in over 4 years about all of the components I have in operation from them at an old lookout tower site in Oregon at *** feet above sea level. I have almost all of the components they provide for a wind and solar system and compared to components I have had from other providers they are reasonable cost and very reliable. I had to contact them recently given the age of my generator and because it was telling me it needed new bearings I was hopeful you were still in business and doing well, which they are. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the generator I had was upgraded to incorporate a larger bearing as this has really been the only maintenance item on it, so I decided it was time to upgrade. As with the generator they seem to be constantly improving their products when they find issues which seems to be an exception to the rule these days. They have developed quality, tried and true components. PS - they have provided me with the best advise on the design and use of my system that I have received.
I love these people and the work they do
I love these people and the work they do. *** (the founder and retired owner) was quite the inovator and was always working to see how to make things better and better. His work and experimentation with wind turbines was great. You can watch some wonderfully boring videos (and I've seen them all for my education) on *** to learn what you need to know. Their latest and best is a controller that actually slows down the wind turbine by adding resistance to it from a terminal that has a charge controller ... it is a great set up. I'm installing mine next week... I will let everyone know how it performs. has been great ! Buck is awesome and is knowledgeable and helpful. Don't believe the reviews that try to make them look bad ... there is a lot trying to make alternative energy look bad. That said... expect to spend a lot to make what you are used to using run on solar and wind. This isn't for the faint at heart! 1/2 a dozen Lithium batteries and all the works... your gonna be in it for 20K+ just to run a couple circuits with some appliances, well pump, etc. But this is a great place. Smaller than I expected when I got there, but they had what I needed! and good quality
After considering my solar project for about 2 years and struggling to find some wholesaler who could actually guide me, I accidentally found
After considering my solar project for about 2 years and struggling to find some wholesaler who could actually guide me, I accidentally found your site. After a five minute discussion with first *** and then Buck, I could finally see the full picture. I still haven't received the first shipment of gear so I cannot comment about the products yet, and perhaps if there is any way that your team could fulfill orders and complete delivery in less than a month, it would be an improvement. Having said that, I would also like to share an opinion of how you may wish to improve your exposure in the niche market of "off-grid". I happened to find your site purely by accident among all the typical solar items advertised by foreign companies, amazon type offerings, and also the large companies who do net-metering residential. These are examples of the web offerings and I would just call it a "hay stack". To find real assistance for off-grid builders is difficult. Maybe adjust your position so that we can find you more directly (ie: Maine Cabin Masters, Building Off The Grid, or Homestead Rescue). This Niche is becoming more popular now and I am truly suprised that you do not have much more competition.
MW&S has been a breath of fresh air as far as putting my solar/wind micro generation unit together
MW&S has been a breath of fresh air as far as putting my solar/wind micro generation unit together. I must say that I was impressed when they actually answered my telephone call and responded to my questions with intelligent answers and a emailed data sheet. Though it will be some time before I will be using the permanent magnet generator, I feel that I can give an honest assessment of my experience up to this point in time. First, there were no smoke and mirrors as far as the product description is concerned. I received a generator that is exactly what was advertised, and that is a unique experience. Second, the price was competitive and fair. I believe that MW&S priced the *** fairly and I hope that they made a fair prophet on it. Third, the *** arrived in a good amount of time and was packaged adequately so that it was not damaged in transit. In these uncertain times, when so much is in doubt as far as the alternative energy sector is concerned because so much of what is affordable is made overseas, actually getting any kind of product of any kind of quality, even after money has been fronted to the overseas suppliers, is a miracle. MWS was able to respond and supply an excellent American made product in good time at a fair price, and that is a breath of fresh air.
My initial impression of this company was pretty good (hence my previous 5-star review that I've been unable to figure out how to cancel)
My initial impression of this company was pretty good (hence my previous 5-star review that I've been unable to figure out how to cancel). I need several solar panels for a solar e-bike project, and my research led me to settle on a panel sold by this company. I bought one panel to start, to run some tests and make sure it was suitable before buying more. The tests went well, and I bought 2 more panels to complete the first stage of the project, and to run one last test that required a second cell, before committing to the purchase of the full set for the project. When this second order arrived, they were packaged differently and didn't look right so I checked closer and they're a different panel, from a different manufacturer, and have different specs, including being slightly shorter (by about an inch; just enough for mounting rails I'd already built to not fit), much wider (by more than a third), much heavier (by more than a third), and completely unsuitable to my project. I went back to their website, to find that they'd made some stealth updates of the specs, buried in the fine print, while carefully keeping everything visible at a glance the same, including a photo which I had to look closely to tell wasn't of the same panel they sent me the first time (which would have been a red flag if I'd caught it in time), but which looks nothing at all like the panels they sent me the second time. The product name, the photo, the product-page url, and the product description paragraph were all completely unchanged. I'm pretty sure even the SKU# was the same. When I contacted them about returning these panels, they told me they wouldn't be able to get any more of the previous ones, and that to return the second order would require me to pay for shipping and a restocking fee. This is a blatant case of bait-and-switch fraud.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

I dont think that this box is big enough to express what I think about Missouri W&S, I have been taken advantage of by two shysters who claim to be Solar installer experts. Let me first start out a solar system is not hard to install but you must have expert advise and training to have your system installed correctly and you must take ownership so that you understand how its installed and how it works. MW&S has a training school that they provide that is well worth the investment to participate in. There are proper procedures that have to be followed in the starting up and shutting down of your system to prevent burning up an expensive charger or inverter. Let me just tell you a list of some of the things the shysters never told me and never installed correctly: proper size wires, proper lengths, breaker boxes between the solar panels and the solar charger, a fuse link between the battery and the inverter, a shut off switch between the batteries and the inverter to prevent sparking from disconnecting the batteries, having the proper pliers to attach MC4 connectors to the number 10 wires and a tool to connect and to disconnect the MC4 connectors. I would never, ever recommend anyone ever buying a system from some company like Amazon or the like. its the service after the sale thats going to be most important when you have an issue. It is my experience that absolutely everybody that works MW&S is a professionalwhen they pick up that phone they are there to help you until you thoroughly understand what you called for. I feel so strong about the experience with Missouri Wind and Solar, Im going to write letters to the ComplaintsBoard.com, Missouri and *** Contractor divisions and suggest that they require all Solar installers to have proof of training and a certificate to prove that they are qualified to install a solar system. Both my shysters couldve burn my house down. I highly recommend Missouri Wind &Solar. ***, ***, .
