I hired Mr. Plumber of Howell, NJ - a licensed plumber and home improvement contractor. He did repairs in my home. When one of the items he repaired was not working, I called him and explained the situation. He put me off for at least 6 weeks - one excuse after another. I had to hire an electrician to make the repairs and, naturally, pay him for his services. When I told Mr. Plumber that I had to hire and pay another contractor, he told me he only make calls that he gets paid for, not non- paying jobs. I had to pay twice for the same repair. Bad enough, I had to find the funds to make the initial necessary repairs, but to hire and pay someone else to repair someone elses mistakes? I also recommended h im to a friend who was having trouble with the tank of the toilet bowl. He charged her and told her he put all new parts. A week later, the problem happened again, she looked and saw that the parts were old and all he did was attach a wire to hold it together. Did not return to her home either. II know this is not the way to run a business - slipshod and totally unprofessional. When the corporate accounts decide they no longer need a contractor - it is the everyday household that will call you --- but not if your reputation preceeds you. I was better off calling a big name company to make my repairs - they stand behind their work and will never treat you like - sorry - no time for you.
