I just don’t want this to ever happen to anyone again.
This review is NOT for the James center location. To be very clear, this review is for indigo at Ruston way in Tacoma. On 4/21, I took my 10 month old daughter to indigo at James center for a splotchy red rash. Here, we received excellent and timely care. The doctors and nurses were lovely, they gave our baby a small dose of a steroid and told us to come...

We definitely feel that receptionist S is kind of DISCRIMINATING us. On feb 7,2023 we had to come to indigo urgent care in Puyallup because of finger cut. The receptionist was not helpful, at first we didn’t understand but After waiting more than 5 hours at the check in they refused to take cash co-payment and one of the receptionist (name start with S) tell other receptionist that “say no change for cash”. I told them why I cant pay cash and they said you need to pay exact amount of cash. This definitely shows that receptionist S was trying to refuse to give us a service and she was rude all the time. I believe because of my wife has hijab that means she is muslim. We definitely feel that receptionist S is kind of discriminating us. Other receptionist and medical assistants were nice.
The staff
I visited indigo at university place The worst care I have ever received! The provider didn’t listen to my current issues tried to tell me to take a medication that I am allergic to which was clearly stated in my chart. I did not receive any help what so ever! Also The receptionist was rude to everyone! I left in tears because I did not get my problems resolved and I do not have a primary dr yet I cannot get into a new pcp until June
Desired outcome: Better service so it doesn’t happen to anyone else

Communication
Called 7 times in the morning to try to be put on a wait list to be seen in person. My son needed to be seen to be able to receive care and was unable to reach the clinic. I made a virtual appointment and still had to go in to get a test done for a school excuse note. Drove 30 minutes to the clinic only to be told they couldn't see the request for labs and for me to call the provider back myself which I was unable to contact for another while. I continuously called back until my call was answered and immediately hung up on so called back again and finally received someone. Told me they reordered and the desk told me I still had to wait to be seen for what I was told I could walk in for. After this ordeal and now 2 hours worth of fighting to sit with a child with diarrhea in a waiting room for a piece of paper to say he was seen.
Desired outcome: Make it easier to contact the team!
False diagnoses
On Saturday, September 3rd I went to the Airway Heights, Wa Indigo Urgent Care for a yeast infection. I get many easily and knew that I just needed some antibiotics. Sure enough, I was diagnosed with a yeast infection and send on my way. Two days later my boyfriend was having the same symptoms and went in as well to be treated. It was stated he was my boyfriend and I was in two days prior. After his inspection, the doctor diagnosed him with herpes, told him I gave it to him, and prescribed him medications. I told him to get blood work done because there was no way it was anything but transferred yeast. We went to our primary for a second opinion and it was in fact yeast, and all results came back negative for anything except yeast. If I was in a DV situation I could have been extremely hurt to have my boyfriend being diagnosed with a disease before any tests were even done. Let alone the doctor providing him with prescriptions for a disease he doesn’t have. The whole situation was so unprofessional and the level of malpractice was unbelievable. I will never be back and will tell everyone I can about this experience.
Desired outcome: An apology that has yet to be done, as well as a higher-up to speak to this doctor about diagnosing diseases before any tests being done.
Policy and staff lying to me.
Called valley indigo urgent car to get my son seen by a doctor for a form for school. @445pm on 9/12.. the form states a "licensed Healthcare professional" it does not say pcp. The person on the phone told me company policy is x because legally we can't when in fact legally you can because the form does not specify who the lhp has to be. Company policy says you can't but legally you can. The sad irony here is you guys have access to everything needed he just needs a well check. His doctor for the plan is apart of your network
Service
Today at 11:00 I called to get a sports physical for our daughter. I was told it would be 3 hours. I filled out all of out paper work online. I finally got a call at 4:30 to come in. I came in with my daughter, which by the way is technically my Granddaughter. My husband I have had permanent legal custody since Midori was 2 weeks old. We have been to urgent care before with no issues. Midori is on the insurance card I gave Mikayla. She proceeded to ask me relationship. I don't know but this time I said granddaughter. I usually just say mom since I am the only mom she has. The receptionist sitting next to Mikayla chimed in and said I need documentation from the state of WA. or we will not see her. I informed her that we have been her before and that Midori is on our insurance card. I do not need to carry around documentation every time I come to urgent care. The receptionist was full of dirty looks and does not look the least bit professional. Her attitude set me off. I walked out and will never be back. We would not have Midori's name on our insurance card if she was not our child. More so than anything else I cannot stand unprofessional people in a front desk position. I wasn't even her customer.
Day wasted and pure ignorance. Also what ever happened to looking like a professional?
Desired outcome: Train people better. Have them look the part of their job. Teach them to be respectful.
Refuse to take medicaid insurance for my kids and won't let me pay saying that I am committing fraud
23131 Bothell Everett Hwy Suite B, Bothell, WA 98021 I reserved an appointment on 09/06/22 at 7:40pm for my daughter to get physical using Medicaid. A person on the phone was telling me that we can't use that insurance to pay for physical. I asked if I can do a self pay, she said it is an insurance fraud to do that and have to take my daughter to primary...

On 08/14/2022, I made an appointment to be screened for HIV.
I was seen by Carla at the Mill Creek location for a potential HIV exposure. She started to make up fake policies and procedures regarding insurance and symptoms (I’ve been seen here before approximately 2 years ago for a similar exposure, insurance covered the visit then, and I do have symptoms so I know I’m covered). She tried to refuse care and when I (again) tried to explain my recent symptoms and the exposure, she cut me off again. I said I’d pay debit, she told me that I needed to shut my mouth and let her finish. She literally walked out of the room mid conversation, didn’t ask for more info and said that this is an urgent care clinic and I needed to be seen by my pcp. I was shocked that not only did she tell me to shut up, she then called me “honey” and after I asked her not to call me that and that I’m not a “honey”, she replied with “I never called you honey”, which she had just said 2 seconds prior. I was completely blown away by this. Calling someone a specific name and then lying about it 2 seconds later rather than moving on…?
Another nurse came in and helped me. She was so kind but I broke down in tears because I was just blown away and hurt. I could hardly believe what had just happened. Not only was I exposed to HIV, I may be 3 weeks pregnant, was told to shut up, lied to about my insurance and Carla refused to proceed with my care! I was ultimately told to come back tomorrow when a family practice practitioner is visiting.
During my last experience here, I had considered speaking with an attorney due to being medically screened out in the lobby but I let it go. After today I feel that it’s my duty to speak with an attorney as soon as possible. I came in today with the willingness to let my prior experience go but after legitimately crying in the room, potentially in early stages of pregnancy, I will be pursing legal action if I have a case. I’ve already made contact with two attorneys. Let that be a message that not everyone is willing to be abused and not everyone is unable to afford an attorney.
Desired outcome: A formal, written apology and Carla dismissed. Others have complained about her abusive treatment as well.
Charged even though no service rendered
Went in on 5/15/22 with medical concern... Checked me in. Took my copay... Sat me in a room and then 5 minutes into them asking questions about what's going on. The "doctor" walks in the room and says we cannot do anything for you here. I then asked I just want something specific looked at to see if hospital is warranted (they automatically said go to...

Made an appt. To get checked out because my blood pressure reading were high. Checked in online and they didn’t know I was there until I told them. They finally take me back and they did not have the proper blood pressure equipment. They said they didn’t have a large on hand that would fit me. Told me to I can cancel my appt. and go elsewhere! I asked them...

It's my understanding that T.J. Mackie is an employee, Medical Assistant at the Bellevue location. She talks about patients on social media with coworkers which seems like a Hippa violation as well as it is wrong on every level of being in the healthcare field. Something needs to be done about this!
Desired outcome: Disciplinary Action/Termination
Lack of service / rude staff
Had an appointment set for 5pm on July 20, 2021. Checked in at appt time. Waited 35 minutes past appt time. Was told that I would be next. MA put me at the bottom of the stack. When I asked why I'm at the bottom with an appt, the MA said "I can do whatever the F…k I want. If you don't like it then leave!" We left and will never go back there. U suck!

I contacted Indigo Tumwater clinic to inquire about getting a Covid19 test for Travel to Canada.
I was told to go online and register, I would be contacted by virtual 0nline.
In the meantime I booked my appointment for 7pm May 12/21
05/17/2021 3:20pm virtual visit done. I05/17/21 6:30 pm clinic test done. Waited for my results with actually came 26 hrs later. (05/13/21 22:12pm
email confirmation had negative results however no indication of Lab details (required by Canadian Border agents)
Indigo said I could only get a copy if I came into clinic.
a copy picked up Friday 05/12/2021 6pm
Arrived Canadian Border 05/15/2021 16:00 hrs. I was told the the test was not valid. The paperwork actually shows my test was submitted @ 12:30pm
This is an extremely important piece of information for travelling and being within the allowed 72 hour window allotment. Major problem at border. Of course Indigo clinic Tumwater was closed and no way to resolve the situation by confirming my test was within the time allowed. Had to take another test at my expense in order for them to allow me to enter.
I contacted the LAB and was advised it was the Indigo clinic responsibility to document the correct time/date Covid test taken regardless of when submitted.
Desired outcome: Full refund of the $99.00USD

I have used this clinic twice... First impression was awesome! And a first class experience... However, I went there today and had the worst experience... The doctor on rotation there... Joseph guthries... Was beyond rude... He was flat out abusive to me in front of the entire waiting room, screaming and shouting at me that he would not prescribe me medication. This was after I had inquired about obtaining an emergency rx refill because I ran out of blood pressure
Maintenance medication, (due to a military transfer, my meds got sent to an old address)! Understood that urgent care could not fill that rx due to the inability to monitor me on the medication... However, the way in wich dr. Joseph guthries screamed this at me was deplorable... So I returned and asked for his medical license number so I could file a complaint... Dr. Joseph guthries screamed in front of the entire lobby that he would not write me medications (he embarrassed me by treating me like I was drug seeking)... Which isn't what I wanted... If dr. Joseph guthries would have listened to me, he would have understood that I was requesting his license number... And for this he asked the staff to call security and told the staff to obtain my license and that I was banned from the clinic... All for requesting his license number... I know my patients rights, and dr. Joseph guthries certainly violated them... If you go to indigo, do not see dr. Joseph guthries. Do not let dr. Joseph guthries violate your human right as he violated me and my rights! Please stay away from dr. Joseph guthries and Multicare!

Dr. Joseph Guthrie is a SCAM and a FRAUD! Never trust Joseph Guthrie since he is a SCAM ARTIST and not even a doctor but an assistant.
