Munden's Moving From start to finish, Munden's Moving Ltd

From start to finish, Munden's Moving Ltd. was super helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and personable. All the folks there worked really hard and kept us informed throughout the whole process. They were able to handle any last-minute changes with professionalism, and it even saved us some money in our situation! Five stars!

Munden's Moving I had a last minute move of furniture and other items from Nova Scotia to Ontario

I had a last minute move of furniture and other items from Nova Scotia to Ontario. Because of the pandemic, I couldn't go and do the move myself and the crew at Munden's were great, handling this urgent move. The price was reasonable, great communication with the office and driver. I will definitely use them again.

Munden's Moving Moved from Ontario to Prince Edward Island and they moved all of our belongings including our car

Moved from Ontario to Prince Edward Island and they moved all of our belongings including our car. Nothing was misplaced or broken in the move. The staff that picked up our boxed belongings in adid so in a professional and well organized way. The staff were all very nice and managed to get everything taken care of in a timely manner. There were some tiny and excusable issues with the clarity of communication by email and otherwise they were very good to deal with. I would highly recommend them for their efforts to keep simple, honest, and hardworking staff as well as their reasonable pricing for the service provided.

Munden's Moving In November , me and my partner hired Munden's Moving to move our big furniture because I used them before and it was good

In November , me and my partner hired Munden's Moving to move our big furniture because I used them before and it was good. One of the furniture was a new, better quality Sauder presswood desk that she got for working from home during the pandemic. One side had drawers and the other side was supported by one piece of presswood. It makes sense to not put all the weight on the side without drawers. But, one of the movers wrapped up the desk and another mover put it on the dolly on the wrong side, without the drawers. The wood broke and the desk was broken. We didn't think it was a big deal, it's insured, and the movers said it was covered. So we went on with our day, everything was moved. We knew we had 30 days to submit the insurance claim which we did the next Monday. Now this move happened at the end of November. Between the holiday season and COVID-19, I expected them to be busy. We sent the information they asked for and waited a few days for an update but didn't get any communication back. We eventually followed up two weeks later and they said they were busy but would get back to us ASAP. Fast forward three months (December, January, February) and we followed up with the company because we heard nothing from them. That's when they told us it was clearly stated in the email they sent before our move that ***like furniture was not covered but they would cover half the cost of the desk as a goodwill gesture. I did notice the ”***like furniture” statement in the original email and thought it referred to furniture from *** or similar flimsy furniture. This was a strong desk when you didn't put all the weight on the wrong side. When I asked for clarification, they said the statement referred to anything made out of presswood. Here's the thing, almost all of our furniture is presswood. The only furniture I have that isn't presswood are a few old pieces and, yes, furniture from ***. Solid wood furniture isn’t affordable for many people. If they wanted to be clear about what their basic insurance covered, they should have said “flat-pack furniture” instead of “***like”. When I mentioned this, they said even if the piece was covered, they were only obligated to cover about 1/6 of the cost of the item (their basic insurance only covered 60 cents per lb of the item). Extended insurance would have cost an extra $150 to $200 on top of the $1000 we paid for the move. I wanted to share this in case you were considering their services in the future. If you have solid wood furniture or you can afford the extended insurance, you might be okay. But, based on their response to our claim, I doubt the extended insurance would provide enough extra protection. The movers were good overall but my interactions with the office made me decide to find another moving company next time and we won't recommend Munden’s to our friends and family.
