Staff being homophobic and rude
I took my kids to Musica Walmer Park to buy some dvd's as I approached the counter near to the speakers I over heard two females making offensive jokes about How gay people act, which I found offensive and so rude, a gentleman over there apologised for their actions and which I do not accept, I refuse to shop at a store with people who discriminate about sexuality, I will never shop at Musica again.
Bad attitude and incompetency
Someone at musica westgate doesn't know what they are doing. So I was researching jc 21 on the internet and saw some good reviews. I then called musica westgate to find out if they have joyous celebration 21. Spoke to a zulu speaking lady. She asked if I want the cd or dvd. Told her I wanted both, she asked me to hold so she can check the system. She comes back on line and confirms the store has both joyous celebrtion 21 dvd and cd! I drive all the way to the store. A gentleman tells me no they don't have it! He confims he overhead the conversation. I ask to speak to the lady I spoke to. She comes with a filthy attitude! Refuses to acknowledge that she made a mistake! She instead wants to turn it into a debate! She says she " thought" I asked about jc10? Wth? Who calls to ask about something so old? Eventually after a long argument she says she's sorry she made a mistake! As I turn around to leave I hear her making remarks to her co-workers! Get rid of her. While you at it! Stop playing the music so loud so you can hear clients clearly
Incorrect price leads to no sale
I went into Musica to buy a Singstar R&B game. It was on the shelf where they have their 'sale' items priced for R199. I went to the till in order to pay and the guy scans it and the price was R349. I said I will not pay R349, u have it on your sale shelf and it has a price on of R199 and I want to pay R199 for it! He says he cannot give it to me for that price and one of his colleagues must have put that sticker on... That is utterley not my problem that people in your Southgate store do false advertising.
I think the service there is pathetic, because at other stores, people will give you the item for the price advertised on the shelf and also not give you attitude for their error.
And what puts the cherry on the top is that the sales consultant still goes to the shelf to see where I took it from, so like I am lying...
I'm very upset about this ill treatment
My cousin and I went to the Musica store at Southdowns shopping center and arrived there at 5:50pm to find the door closed. We wanted to buy Thandiswa Mawai's cd and Brandy's album Human. We got there the door was closed but there was a sign saying open next to the door, assuming the door was closed because of the cold I pushed the door only to find that it was locked. I then asked mzwandile what was going on, he rudely told us they were closed only opening the door slightly. I pointed out to him that it was not six yet, he continued to say he knows and that they close at 5:50 pm. Having bought there before I knew that closing time was six. Peeking through the door he said that we must tell him what we wanted and he will tell us whether they have it in stock I then said that he should let us in so we can get it ourselves because he cannot sell it to us from outside...To which we rudely replied we must just tell him what we want and he'll get it. I don't understand how they operate, is it a spaza shop? How was I gonna pay for these items from outside? And as far as I know they close as 6pm. I'm very upset about this ill treatment from Mzwandile and Im definately never going back!
Replacement dvds are also scratched
Sorry for being late but I was only able get back the shop on sunday to exchange the scratched dvds.I got there and asked if I could look at the replacment copy from the Clearwater branch to see if those dvds were scratched like the ones I had and it turns out that those dvds also have the same circular scratches but are not as bad as the dvds that were in the boxed set I had bought.I took the replacement dvd set but I said that I would mention this when I replied to my complaint here. Must have been a manufacturing flaw of sorts that went un-noticed and seems like Musica possible other shops here got the damaged dvds, etc...
Sorry for having created another complaint but I couldn't add it to my reply to the first complaint report about the scratched dvds.
