Nice app to see current value of saving bond portfolios. Missing features that would make it five star:

1) Password protection
2) Ability to store bond number
3) Ability to show current interest rate being earned
4) Sort bonds by interest rate being earned
5) Ability to send a single bond portfolio's information to another user of the app in a password protect file

Overall, app works great and "meets expectations or 4 stars"

In this app, EE Bonds that are within the minimum 12 month holding period are NOT added into the portfolio value. Why? They still have a value of the purchase price even though unable to redeem per bond parameters.

Please add value of these bonds into portfolio value so that I can balance back to TreasuryDirect!

This feature would be great and would then earn an "exceeds expectations or 5 stars."

Thanks for the nice app, easy to use, nice UI, look, and feel.

Before you spend hours and hours entering dozens of bonds, consider if the iPod / iPhone / iPad series of devices are where you want to store sensitive and important data.

I learned early on that data you enter into iPad / iPhone apps is very suspect. Where is the file saved? Can you back it up and restore it? Can you open the iphone's drive and find it? Can you put it on a thumb drive and move it somewhere safe? No. You are at Apple's mercy.

I've had apps that I added unique information to lose all my data during updates. You can't roll back to previous versions and you can't restore data. It's just gone.

Apps that do fun stuff like calculate tips or a provide dictionary definitions or listen to and identify songs or turn the iPhone into a bubble level are great. But you aren't asking those apps to store your data in some unknown place in some unknown format.

Be forewarned: if you trust an i-device to maintain hours of data input, you will be sorely disappointed. At some point you will perform a firmware update or an app update and you will lose your hard-entered data...and have absolutely no idea where it went, where it was supposedly "backed up" to by iTunes or how to recover it.

Then too you should consider data security. Apple reserves the right to kill apps even after you purchase and install them. How do you know Big Brother isn't also snooping into private data? Have you read the End User Agreement you agree to every time you update to a new version of iTunes? No? Me neither. Nobody does. Rest assured it only protects Apple, not your privacy. And they take no responsibility for lost data.

I have nothing against this Savings Bond app. I have but don't use this app because I know that custom data you take hours to input into an i-Device will likely disappear eventually... and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Have fun with your iPad. Don't trust it with important and time consuming data.

Don't rely on this. Read the reviews. Data constantly lost. Epic Fail.

Been a good app. However, no longer works. No customer service info on web site.

This app allows you to create portfolios and bond entries, but you cant delete them...

I purchased this app despite the low rating. BIG MISTAKE! It does not work at all. Will not save any data.

All my bond information disappeared! What's going on? Is this app being discontinued? I really loved this app before it crashed.

Good concept but had to delete it immediately since it wouldn't save my bond information. Tried to input different types of bonds, even the bond numbers given in the snapshots but nothing could be saved..

Need a tutorial badly. Help.

It worked great for a couple of months and now will no longer load.

Click on app thinks for a minute the just blinks back to my main screen! NOTHING!

Worked just fine until recent update. Now can’t get app to open. Just reverts to icon and home screen. Can’t retrieve my info

Let me add one bond to my inventory. When I tried to edit and add more bonds the app shut down, several times. Waste of money.

App worked the first time I opened it. Loaded a few bonds to try it out and now whenever I click on the app to open it just crashes

I originally able to get in to the app and add my savings bonds. But now the app wants a pin code. I don’t see a way to reset it. I cannot find a link or phone number for customer support.
Update 10/08: still can’t get access or reset PIN

This looks like a cool app. My dad left a ton of US Savings Bonds and I thought this would be the ticket. Sadly, can’t get it to load and crashes like the Stock Market in ‘29. Will have to see if an update fixes this issue and then reevaluate.

Loaded with bogus portfolios containing over a thousand bogus bonds. Even if you go through the time and effort to delete each bond one by one you can’t delete the portfolios. I will not load my data into this app. Could get mixed with someone else’s data.
