I went to the nakedwines
I went to the nakedwines.*** website to accept their offer and after entering a lot of personal information, was informed they don't do business in my state. They wasted my time, got my personal info, and then started spamming my email, even though I cannot make a purchase. SLEAZY!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Naked wines charged my debit card $40
Naked wines charged my debit card $40.- even though I haven't purchased any wine from them for about 4 - 5 months. I ordered wine from them only once and paid for it. I never ordered wine from them again as I didn't enjoy their wine. They kept sending me emails all the time, but I moved them right into trash without reading them The invalid charge occurred on Sept 22nd, 2020.

This company markets their discounted wine without you knowing there is a $40 monthly fee. They violate Federal Trade Commission regulations by taking money out of your checking account without permission. Further, I googled their Angel Program and there are many customers who are unaware of their donor program and unknowingly are being frauded by this company's deceptive marketing and trade practices. It is illegal and they should be investigated and made to stop these practices. Further, when I sent them an email, they did not respond appropriately and committed to keeping my prior funds they took out of my checking without permission. I am attaching a copy of email and their response back to me. I called their customer service today after receiving their email and was told they will cancel membership and refund $80 immediately, but I highly doubt they will follow through as their email response to me showed how clueless they are and how much they pressure people for their Angel Program donation. This company should be stopped so that other future customers do not have same as I experienced.
I have purchased only one time from naked wines and this was a while ago. Today I have suddenly been charged 40 dollars from Nakedwines. I went on their website and saw I had a subscription with them that I never agreed to. This should be illegal because they never clarified that I was signing up for a subscription with them. I want my money back, this is ridiculous. I hope they refund my money and canceled my account. I do not want this to happen again.
Trial did not insinuate that subscription service would be automatic
Trial did not insinuate that subscription service would be automatic. Gave this to my father for a fatheres day gift in June. He has not received wine to date and I have been charged $40.00 for a subscription service I never signed up for. I tried to call the number and they are not accepting calls due to covid and have not responded to my email. Very misleading advertising and I want my money back and to be cancelled from this service!

I made a purchase from nakedwines.com through one of their promotional voucher. There was no mention of subscription service. Based on other comments I have seen it seems like they deliberately do not include the word subscription in their promotion. However, they use deceptive technique to withdraw money from customers account. I suspect that many of these customers may not even realize it. It took me several months to realize that they were charging me $40 every month since April. I did what I thought was a one-time transaction with them in March this year. However, since then I have seen 3 unauthorized payments of $40.00 on April 20, May 20, and June 20 on my credit card. I did not subscribe to anything, so please refund my money to my card. I have also attempted to call the company and realized their phone is disconnected. This company should be investigated for fraudulent and deceptive business practices.

There is no way to cancel an account online. As of 01/05, there is a claim that you may cancel your angels account via a specific section of the accounts page. However, neither in the 'Naked Me', 'My Account' nor any other section is there an option for account cancellation. Furthermore, if you click the 'cancel account' button on the website, it merely redirects you to the homepage. The claim in the terms and conditions is false.
This web site uses dark design patterns to enroll their users into a monthly subscription service. They charged my credit card $40 a month after my (first and only) purchase.

Ordered with a $40.00 voucher, was charged and paid $43.44, fine I knew that prior to purchase. Received $40.00 billing(paid on Chase Visa ) dated 02/01 without my authorization. Contacted Naked Wines and was told this is their practice. I never received any kind of notice. In reading the information ComplaintsBoard.com has posted, I should have been notified and given a $40.00 refund. I do not want to participate in this club and do not want to pay a recurring fee for nothing.
I purchased wine from Naked Wine using a $100.00 voucher and from 07/13 to 12/13 they have deducted $40.00 from my checking account
I purchased wine from Naked Wine using a $100.00 voucher and from 07/13 to 12/13 they have deducted $40.00 from my checking account. They recently sent me a letter stating I joined their wine club on 06/06 and have a balance of $200.00 at no time did I knowingly join their wine club. Also, if they have deducted $240.00 from my account how do I still owe them $200.00 when I only got the one case of wine from them this year. They are a scam and I want my money back.

I made a one-time purchase from this company in November
I made a one-time purchase from this company in November. They subsequent charged my credit card $40 monthly on 12/4, 1/4 and 2/4. These charges were not authorized. I see many similar complaints. It seems this company's model is to claim customers have signed up for a club for $40 per month, in exchange for nothing. A total scam. I checked all of my communications with them, there is no mention of ongoing charges. I am very surprised the ComplaintsBoard.com has given them a favorable rating giving the recurring complaints and blatant fraudulent charges. It's not a miscommunication, it's clearly fraud.

Got a promotional offer for $100 off of a case of wine
Got a promotional offer for $100 off of a case of wine. Total cost was ~160. All through the ordering process indicated that ~60 would be my total cost. Ordered ... and you guessed it! The charge on my card was ~160. Who would have thought? Anyway, I don't mess with this sort of nonsense. I would like my order cancelled and a full refund issued and any ongoing subscriptions cancelled as well. Tip: if you offer someone $100 dollars off something and then charge them for the full amount most likely they will not want to continue to do business with you. Phone line plays a dumb message then hangs up, won't respond to email.

i received the $100 wine voucher in the mail
i received the $100 wine voucher in the mail. it looked really tempting. i was concerned based on two things. one of these things i'll claim false advertising. luckily i found one report here on ComplaintsBoard.com that answered my concerns. the website was all marketing and deception to gain an email or for me to enter my voucher number. nowhere was it plain and visible that i could not get this voucher honored. i did not procede into the website as my yellow alert alarm was triggered by the simplicity and deceptive gatekeeping of the front page of the website nakedwines.com my state is one of those which cannot use the voucher. yet everything advertised to me suggests there are no such restrictions. to me, this is bait and switch false advertising.

Several months ago I had received a gift voucher from an unrelated purchase to use towards an affordable box of wines
Several months ago I had received a gift voucher from an unrelated purchase to use towards an affordable box of wines. I purchased their box expecting a one time purchase and that would be the end of the transaction with this company, unless some of the wine turned out to be of exceptional quality. Several months later, I noticed an unauthorized monthly recurring charge of $40 on my credit card from naked wines. There was no mention of this charge as part of my purchase. They did mention angel status, but I was given the impression that I would only be burdened with an occasional promotional email, and not membership with a reoccurring fee. Nowhere did I see mention of this reoccurring fee during my purchase, otherwise I would not have made it.
I placed an order due to receiving a voucher in the mail
I placed an order due to receiving a voucher in the mail. What they don't tell you, whatsoever, is that you're automatically enrolled into a $40/month subscription service. Luckily, I checked all of the "my account" tabs before stepping away from the computer to see I had been enrolled into the service. Naturally I have cancelled the "angel" account subscription service, however I want to remove my credit card information from this business and they do not give you the option of removing your card info (unless you are adding the card info for another credit/debit card). I am NOT comfortable leaving my credit card information with this company and would like it removed. I have also read many complaints where customers receive nothing after placing an order. If I don't receive my order within the 4 business days that was given to me I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company.

Nakedwines.com made an initial authorized purchase for 54 dollars on 12/11 as a Christmas gift for my mother. Then, to my surprise today, I discovered unauthorized monthly charges of 40.00 dollars from January through June.
The unauthorized charges, for which neither I nor anyone I know received any goods or services, are as follows:
- January 11: $40.00 to Nakedwines.com
- February 11: $40.00 to Nakedwines.com
- March 11: $40.00 to Nakedwines.com
- April 11: $40.00 to Nakedwines.com
- May 11: $40.00 to Nakedwines.com
- June 11: $40.00 to Nakedwines.com
The total comes to 240.00 dollars. I have just completed online disputes with my bank, but I am not hopeful about their assistance. The bank representatives are asking me questions that imply my responsibility, such as 'Did you have a prior relationship with this company?' I was duped and really did not notice the charges until today, June 19. This company already has many complaints regarding the same unauthorized 40.00 monthly charges to other people.
