New Direction Trust Company review: Self-direction roth ira fees

I deposited $500 on April 7, 2023, in order to purchase precious metals. The invoice from Money Metals Exchange was for $475.66 on May 3, 2023. Since that time I have been charged $481.32 in various fees. So, within 5 months, I've paid almost the same amount as my initial investment in fees. The fees were not explained to me adequately. I feel like I've been taken advantage of. I have closed my account to stop the flow of cash for fees.

Here is a list of all fees charged to me:

4/5/2023 - New Account Fee $30

5/3/2023 - Administration Fee $150

5/3/2023 - Wire Fee $30

5/3/2023 - Transaction Processing Fee $95

7/7/2023 - Depository Fee $110.00

9/7/2023 - Transaction Processing Fee $50

9/7/2023 - Depository Fee $45

9/7/2023 - Distribution Fee $100.66 (my cash balance was applied to this fee, making it $75)

This has been a real learning experience for me. Next time I'll educate myself before getting in league with such an expensive organization.
