In January, we took our truck to North Star Buick GMC for a recall on the braking system. They fixed it and it stopped having issues until August. At that time, the problem started again, so we brought it back for the recall to be done again. They fixed it once more, and everything seemed fine until the first week of November. The shaking issue returned, just like before. We contacted them again, but the problem still persists. Now, they are saying that the entire braking system needs to be replaced because they believe a foreign fluid has entered it. We have only done regular maintenance on the brakes, such as changing a caliper and a rotor. There is no way we could have introduced any foreign fluid into the system. North Star Buick is refusing to cover the cost of fixing the truck this time, claiming that the foreign fluid is the cause. They charged us a $262 fee to pick up the truck for diagnostics, and then informed us that it would cost $2,800 to have it repaired, even though we did not tamper with the braking system. North Star Buick insists that this is not their fault, but they did offer to pay for the diagnostics fee and 25% of the $2,800 if we choose to have it fixed there. As a result, I have been without a vehicle for a while now, as it is unsafe to drive. We had to have it towed home, and with three children at home, it has been difficult to get them where they need to go.
