We bought a new Oak Creek home in Bryan TX. The salesman was Bernie Gonzalez.
We looked at the models and picked out a nice looking doublewide. We went through and thought it was tastefully decorated. We decided to order one exactly like the model. We went back to Bernie's office and he wrote down all details of the model home and went through all colors and choices.
We went back about 3 days later and sat down again and purchased the home. Before we did the paperwork we went back through the same model home to confirm we wanted our new home to be exactly like it. Bernie was told a minimum of 8 times that every detail was to be the same as the model home. We sat down ordered and paid for the home.
We also signed all of the paperwork. The description from them was vague when explaining the paperwork. Our home arrived on schedule. Upon entering the home we noticed how different it was from the model home.
Completely different. There was a [censored]ty barn wood pattern on all of the accent walls. We didn't order a single wall with that crap. We messaged Bernie immediately and told him it was wrong.
We sent detailed pictures of the walls. Home was built like [censored]. Trim loose from being poorly attached. Wrong color carpet.
Nothing was right. Bernie stopped responding and sent us to John. His response was "she signed the papers". We explained that we had photos from 2 days before the order where Bernie showed her the choices.
Other than having a wrong color on the cabinet doors it was correct. He changed out the door and sent a new photo. Those pictures were sent to John. He said there is nothing to be done because she signed the papers.
We were always well ahead of schedule for being ready for the next steps being completed. They wouldn't schedule accordingly. Took longer to get everything completed. The moving company that set the house didn't check the house before sliding the 2 pieces together.
The jammed one door between the walls. That created a huge ordeal to fix that.
Bernie nor John ever reached out again. Both of them are completely incompetent and are just out for a sale. No offer to help in any way.
No apologies for screwing up our home. Worthless. If it weren't for the trim guy repairing the [censored]ty work from the factory the house would be a disaster. He had a 4-page punch list of items to repair or replace.
Horrible workmanship.
Cheap junk appliances and fixtures. You'd do better to buy anything else.
Recommendation: Buy anything else but oak Creek
