Scam calls...
I daily get calls from a 347 area code... I'm in toronto... Latest call was from 347-612-8994 yesterday was from 347-668-2982.. Day before was from 347-659-1095 and day before was 347-671-6580.
Never anyone there... Just a beep then call ends.
If this continues then perhaps the police can help.
Disgusting company that bothers people!
text messages
I have been getting non stop text messages from someone that knows about me. Threatening to harm me and my family. It has been a month now and police are getting involved. They keep changing their number using text now app and all numbers are reversing back to omnipoint. Please please help me. These text apps shouldn't allow someone to gave unlimited amount of numbers on their hands. I've tried to ask the developers to remove my number from their database but no help. I don't know who else to go to or who to contact.
The latest number that came yesterday is [protected]
Thank you
A folk from your company impersonated my CEO and swindled me to purchase 74 Apple Gift Cards of Rs. 5000 denomination each between Feb 01 through Feb 204 2023.
I lost INR 3,70,000.
The numbers the fraudster used are US number (001) 804.791.9021 and [protected]
Get someone get me this fraudster to return my amount?
harassing phone calls
I keep receiving calls with a 516 area code & 225 - last four #s always changing after I block them. They have tried saying I qualify for significantly lowering my interest rate on my credit card - yet they want all my credit card info - I'm not dumb so I say no thank you- please do not call again. I have also been told I can get an extended warranty on my truck which happens to be 13 years old and just about 200, 000 miles - again I say no thanks- do not call again- yet they have . Also they are trying to peddle lower insurance rate - I say not interested- don't call
Selling "unwanted" car warranty
I receive at least 4 calls a day using different area codes from Omnipoint Communications. Today they actually LIED and told me they were calling from my Toyota Dealership to offer warranty through Toyota. But when I told them they should know I have a lease vehicle and don't need warranty - the guy hangs up the phone! I'm soooooo sick of this company HARASSING ME on daily basis. I'm a realtor so I ALWAYS answer unknown numbers and unfortunately 4 out of 8 calls are from this disgusting company. I've already put in a complaint with BBB and yes there are plenty of people complaining about them harassing. There MUST be a way to hold them accountable for harassment. There MUST be a way to MAKE them STOP the unsolicited calls.
omnipoint comm. calling me non stop
Beware of Kristine Dow, 3474519028 she loves to call you and listen to you breathe. Seriously had to do a reverse phone look up to see who the hell this was calling me saying nothing! It's beyond annoying, I wish these people get lives and leave people alone! There's no reason why I'm at work and getting calls from this person with nothing to say! LEAVE ME ALONE KRISTINE
If I am correct they keep calling me about a debt and are rude and right down hateful. When I got frustrated at her for her service she rudely muttered something rude and hung up on me.
several charges against my husband.
Someone called, he didn't even give his name! Claimed it was urgent my husband call back because he was verifying his address and place of employment in order to have a warrant serverd for several charges that were being filed against him. This person said my husband had to call back right away to dispute these changes. My husband works for a casino and has to go through a extensive background check in order to keep his gaming licence. Any type charges would have been addressed already by the casino already! Omnipotent communications is communications company like Verizon not an illegal collection!
scam irs call
3/19/2018 phone number (516)324-4874 called me pretending to be the IRS. When I asked to be removed from the data base a foreign voice cussed at me and said they had my name and address and would find me. He stated my name, phone number, and address. I hung up and blocked the number.
Unfortunately he did have my correct information but I do not owe the IRS anything and have verified this with my accountant.

It's a phone network, not a caller!
Omnipoint happens to be the cell-phone carrier of record for my own phone exchange. According to Wikipedia, it was absorbed in 2000 by a larger company, which is now called T-Mobile.
It transmits the calls from most of the exchanges mentioned in the original complaints on this site, & many of those in the 30-or-so comments after the complaints (I didn't check them all). I found all these complaints while doing a web-search for Omnipoint's contact info. I have no professional or personal interest in either defending or attacking Omnipoint, which I only heard of today while trying to solve a problem related to another company that uses their network.
If you're going to look up info on the internet, make sure you understand the column or subject headings. In particular, the online reverse phone directories MAY give you a city, a zip code &/or a phone company (as in these cases), but if you want a caller's name or address, they will ask you to pay for it. If you want to stop a phone scammer or harrasser, it may well be worth the few bucks -- though there's no guarantee that any of these commercial sites is perfectly up-to-date.
IF you manage to get the actual name & address associated with the full phone number (not just the exchange), you might follow the instructions given in the comment by scoochums (1 August 2012, below TheRightway's complaint) on how to contact the FBI. Slandering the phone company on this website won't help anyone.
You can verify exchange/company info at:
https://www.telcodata.us/search-area-code-exchange-detail
https://www.telcodata.us/search-area-code-exchange-by-company-state?company=OMNIPOINT+COMMUNICATIONS%2C+INC.&state=NY
(If you use the 2nd URL, you can substitute another state for "NY" at the end.)
This is no longer correct. Omnipoint Communications Inc was indeed a phone company which got mergered into T-Mobile in 2000. They no longer exist as a company.
Scam
My son received a call from this phone number [protected] on January 11th of 2016. Claiming that he was granted a federal grant for $7800. But that he has to send him $260 in order to receive the money. If you have any questions my email address is [protected]@yahoo.com. Thank you, Julie Houle

I got a call from [protected]. Search results show the carrier is through: OMNIPOINT COMMUNICATIONS, INC. YES, this is a SCAM! They guys said he worked for American Textile Exports but he uses different company names and schemes. The check was from a North Caroline account - thankfully my bank caught it before it was processed. I don't know how this guy thinks he would get the money.
I don't know who the bigger idiot is, me or the guy...probably me since the guy had an Indian accent (dot, not feather). Lesson learned! I closed out my bank account and signed up for Life Lock, just in case.
Oh, and he said he found me on Craig's List.

Unsolicited telemarketing phone - calls
I know where you're coming from. I've received calls like that and it's annoying how these people still call you even after you repeatedly say NO. Not to mention being on the DNC list. I think it's about time the authorities implement the law more effectively.
So what I did was collect these callers' phone number and then contact my telephone service provider to block them. That way, all their future calls are filtered from coming through. And now, although I still get a telemarketing call, it's tolerable. I get like at most 2 calls in a month. :)
And sometimes I pull up pranks, too. I get a lot of tips from http://www.callercenter.com/articles/14waystoannoytelemarketers.html and they're really funny. These pranks sure waste the telemarketer's precious time and they hate it. And when they hate it, it's fun. :)

Scam / fraud
I received a message on my job today 6 / 6 / 2011 from a person who said his name was "alex morivan" with a foreign accent, stating that there is a pending lawsuit against me and they said the last 4 digits of my social security number on the message. They also left a telephone / cell number: [protected] to contact them. When i kept calling the number...
