Just started with opploans
Just started with opploans. So far they have gotten my bank info incorrect and proceeded to blame me stating I had entered in my account information incorrectly. It wasnt until they did research to find they were using an account number from and old application. I explained to rep that I had did the secure login where I entered in my login info of my bank. I understand there can me discrepancies. I felt hurt that I was blamed by your rep without further investigation. The rep also seemed agitated with me. I am waiting, per words of the *** to send them the money back and send it to correct account. I am a navy veteran and I only get paid monthly. I am in need during this pandemic yet Im starting to feel like Im being taken advantage of. I am seeking guidance. Pops is supposed to call me Monday before I resign documents to do it over. Is it safe to say hey they made a mistake and they are good for business or should I move on?

If I could give no stars I would. I applied on a Sunday and it took til Friday afternoon just to be told I wasn't approved. I was told I would receive a call if anymore information is needed. I never received any kind of call from them throughout the week. It took me calling them to learn they need more information, it took me calling them a second time to learn they need my direct deposit information again, it took me calling them a third time to learn that I need to resign my contract, it took me calling them a fourth time to learn they need to do a 3way call between them, myself and my bank after i had already provided bank statements, checking and routing numbers! The representative at my bank told them they could only talk to me to verify bank information. I was then told they have everything they need and i will receive an email with their decision. Minutes after that call, I was denied. I provided everything they needed just be told it wasn't enough.

Do not use this buisness! I believe they are stealing private information. I was denied with limited info on application and when I called I was already denied after even though I was pre approved and guaranteed. They said they could not discuss with me my account unless I submitted over my driver's license. I submitted my driver's license over through email and then called back and they cannot discuss my account with me that they dont do that. So essentially they con me into giving them my driver's license knowing they would not discuss my account to sell my information to third party companies and have all my buisness bank account information. Thier reviews were all good so I thought it was legit and is the only reason I gave my info to them and found out this is a con game. No I really didn't need this loan I only did this to up my credit score so I am not a person scorned that I didn't get approved for a loan more upset I I actuall ell for this con to access my private information when I'm usually more conscious.
Amazing customer service and quick and easy process for approval and deposit.
I feel like I was played I did what they asked the they said I should receive the money in 45 minutes never got it. I keept being told I will get in 45 min. They in the morning I still didnt have the money so texted the person I was working with he said he talked to the financial department and I would get it in a few never got it. Then he said I had to send another target card with 300 dollars that thus was the last step I felt played and fooled I never received my money and I really needed it. And Im worried now that they have all my information. Do not work with opploans they give you the run around and never give the funds.

In a word; DISHEARTENED! I was approved for a loan, and gave the employee all my account information. When I saw the money was not deposited by the end of business on the day it was supposed to be, I called and was told that the money was sent, and the bank had it. I was asked to verify my account information, and somehow a SINGLE number of left off of my account. The employee asked me to re-verify the account number and I did. I signed new paperwork, and waited for the approval email. When I did not receive the funds a second time, I called my bank and asked if they were holding any funds for me. They were not. I called the company, and low and behold they used they left off the ONE number again. Now, after two weeks, I have to wait another three days to just fill out a new application. Who is to say that this will not happen again? For a company that touts that they are highly rated with the Complaintsboard.com, this is not a good experience. And, when I called in the last time, a supervisor would not even take my call, they said they would call me back. How professional of them.

The payments can sometimes be a little high however you pay there loans off faster and they will definitely help you with more funds as long as you make your payments on time! I tried to apply through multiple agencies, but my credit score needed work, so no one wanted to give me a chance to prove or trust I would make my payments. I was hoping someone would give me a chance to prove that I would pay back a loan, and Opploans did just that! I put in for a certain amount to catch up on all my bills and I was so very appreciative of what I was given. Im hoping I can still get a bit more to cover the rest of my bills because I used every bit of what Opploans gave to me on my bills, food and gas. The process was SUPER FAST and worry free, they made me feel very comfortable and extremely happy! I already invited and recommended them to everyone of my family and friends. At the time I was so happy that they would help me out, I made sure I set up payments to come directly outta my account and paid them back promptly with a good reference on my credit report from them. I was thankful & grateful! Months later around 4 months or so, and a couple times since then I have reapplied only to be turned down and to be told to reapply in 30 days. My circumstances have not changed job wise (where I have been almost 8 years) except that my income has went up (3 incomes) instead of down a little. Actually my credit score ( I have been working so hard on myself ) has even went up a whole 80 points. My Transunion score is a 674. I have paid all my credit cards down to 20% I dont have any mortgages. Nothing is late on my credit report in over a year. So I needed some work done on my car and thought I would go back where I was comfortable and was denied again for a $1500 loan. Im totally confused. They had no problem financing me when my credit score was 500. I would like a explanation from this company. This doesnt make sense to me.

I applied for a personal loan of $2,000, with Opp Loans. They approved my loan and I received the cash directly into my bank account USAA. The duration of the loan was 9 months and the payment was $374.26 each month. It was a very expensive loan but I made the payments on time. After making the May payment on the 2nd of the month I have one payment remaining. I entered their website to make my next to last payment, and my account information showed my payoff balance to be $1,788.77 with an increased payment of $423.90. The payoff balance should have been $374.26. my last payment. A notation was attached to my account stating "Renewal April 26, 2022."I did not renew this loan like Opp Loans claims. I don't need the money any longer and was looking forward to ending the payments. I am very literate with computers and can program them in four different languages and have four won awards from the *** for my computer expertise. I can make a computer do anything I want, so when I see a signature on a form, it means nothing. I never signed any documents authorizing Opp Loans to refinance this loan. I checked my bank and no money has been deposited into my bank account from Opp Loans.

Ive had a personal loan through OppLoans for a little over a year now. They granted me a loan when my credit was not the best, and because of the autopay setup based on when I got paid, it made it easy to never be late, which helped build my credit. While the interest was a bit high, it was still doable with what I made.I recently decided to consolidate some of debt, with a much lower interest rate. As much as I hated to end a long standing loan, I needed more flexibility with my finances. Even though OppLoans does offer refinancing, the rate was just a bit high and not much in savings.So I paid them off, but ran into an issue where they accidently charged me twice. Which put my bank into the negative. I was very angry, but the staff at OppLoans did everything they could to rectify the situation. They offered to pay for any charges that *** occur when the charges finally posted. They were quick to reassure me that it was their mistake and they would fix it, as quick and as best they could. I even got calls from them to check in on the situation.While I am leaving them for now, they have proven to be a worthy loan company. Atleast willing to go the extra mile when they make a mistake. The customer service was top notch.My only real complaint - they need better wait music.

Let me give everyone my testimony of my Saturday Blues. I been a customer with this company for many years, had very few problems. This situation takes the cake. I been trying for a couple of months to refinance due to my account wasnt letting me, not because I wasnt making payments, but cause that bar that tells you can refinance wasnt popping up. They finally fix the problem and when I get the chance to refinance. I get denied. I guess building a honest and faithful relationship with a company that doesn't recognize a good loyal customer goes out the window with them. I only had 3 more payments of paying them off but due to my daughter leaving for college, I needed that little extra to help with school fees and books and other miscellaneous items she needs for school. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. I always made my payments on time cause I like this company and I have a history with them and I know if I was ever in a bind Opploans was my go to for help. To get denied is just like a slamming the door not only in my face but also my daughter. I always referred and write good reviews cause Opploans is always there when you need them. In a time like this being in this predicament is saddening cause I got to figured out my next step for her to start school. I'm really upset about there Opploans decision. Thank you

A few months ago I submitted an application with all of my current information including my address and email address. I got a text message (only) stating that I was approved and no other paperwork was sent after the approval with my loan terms but the money did show *** in my account. I was unable to login and create an account with my current information. Well it turns out that I apparently applied back in 2019 with my information at the time (an old address and old email address that is no longer valid) but never accepted that loan offer. The recent application was approved but instead of them updating all of my current information based off of the application that was being processed they kept the old (invalid) information on record even though that was NOT the information on my application. They will not update my current information unless I send a copy of my ID and a *** showing my current address. The problem I have with this is why are they approving an application with information that is not matching the information that they apparently have on record? It's the company's responsibility to update the information according to what is ON the application. I still cannot access my online account because they will not update my email address and I can't request a "reset password" request because it will only go to an email address that is no longer valid.

Money has been tight after the holidays, and I thought I would borrow around $1,500 to tide me over until my tax return comes in March. I get disability and have 2 dependent children. I draw 3 separate benefits from Social Security, one for each of us. All 3 are direct deposited into the same checking account. I applied for the loan, provided my banking information and copies of my benefits letters, and waited. After a couple days, I called the customer service number and was told I needed to resign my contract. I resigned the loan contract, now for $1,200 and waited again. The next day, I received an email stating that I needed to resign my contract. I resigned the contract, now for $900, and called customer service again. I was told the loan was under review and that the loan amount had been adjusted for new information provided. I explained that I had not submitted any new information and was told I would receive a call back to explain. I never received a call but did receive another email informing me that I needed to resign my contract. I went online to see that it was the exact same contract I had previously signed. I resigned and called customer service for the fourth time. I was told the loan was under review because the income amount on the application didn't match the income on the benefits letters. The operator explained the amount being disputed was due to two of the benefit letters being in different names. I explained they were benefits I received for my 2 children and that all three were direct deposited into my account on the same date. Information they had available. I also mentioned that this new contract was for the exact same amount as the last with no change in any information provided. I ended the application process at that point. I was completely dissatisfied by this company and got a loan from another lender for my original amount in less than 24 hours.

I called in on Friday November 11 2022 to pay my balance off in full - i asked them if this was the current balance due they said "YES" so i paid it off - this morining November 14 2022 I look at my checking account and they took out another payment on a loan that was ALREADY PAID IN FULL - they owe me $138.20 and are refusing to refund my money!

I was previously declined for lacking direct deposit, which I now have. They didn't review my bank statements showing IRS payments or give me time to submit my tax return before declining me. This is Regarding loan number ending in ***. I received an email inviting me to apply for a loan for being a good customer that has paid off previous loans and good pay history with Opp loans. My loan was approved for $1,700 and I asked for higher amount, I was told the amount was based off my paystub and bank. I had to send in my paystub and bank statements. I explained that my paystub is split amongst two accounts and *** are greater bcus I get monthly regular deposits from my company I work for and other companies. I was told that I can only use my employer to which I did. There was a fraudulent account created under my name. I tried to contact the business so they could correct it and they were very rude and constantly disconnecting the calls. They put the charges on my credit. They won't send me any written verification of the debt with my signature. They won't do anything and I need assistance because they are harming me.
Opps loans funded a loan in my name in Sept or Oct of 2019. From what I was able to find out, it was a loan applied for online and funded to my bank account. I had a financial assistant that handled all of my finances, I did not apply for this loan or receive the funds from this loan. I have been disputed it since I discovered it. I have provided OppsLoans a *** Identify theft report as well as two police reports on multiple occasions. They refuse to remove reporting of this fraudulent loan from my credit report. They have been falsely reporting this as my loan since 2019, in spite of all the information they have received. This is willful negligence on their part and this loan needs to be removed from my credit reports immediately. If it is not removed, I will have no choice but to file a lawsuit to have it removed, this will also include all damages I am entitled to under the *** as well as significant punitive damages.
Received an email from Opp Loans on 11/1/2022 stating "Your current balance is $2,375.69, but we would like to help you by offering a settlement that will reduce your total loan amount to $0.00". Then below in the email it is explained this settlement would be subject to a 1099-c, which I understand. When I called to clarify they stated the email is confusing and not what they are offering. They are offering a settlement to pay $2,375.69 and then my balance goes to $0.00. That is not a settlement and of course it would go to $0.00 because I paid it off. The email is false, deceptive and misleading.

In my contract underneath my scheduled payments it says verbatim "Prepayment: You may pay your loan early without any prepayment penalty - and you may be entitled to a refund of part of the finance charge." That is ALL it says in that section. Here I am in February, I have scheduled a payment to pay off the loan in full and I send an email to their customer support asking how I go about getting that refund for part of my finance charge considering I've only kept the loan about 4 months. They respond and tell me to contact their customer service number, I call there and they tell me they have no idea what I'm talking about so I said I have a screenshot of my contract showing that statement so they tell me to send that screenshot to the customer support email. I send it there and once again they respond and tell me to call so I call AGAIN and then they tell me that it only applies if it's paid off with in 10 days. So I am telling them, it does not say that anywhere how am I as the consumer supposed to know I need to pay it off within 10 days to qualify for that. They have told me there is nothing they can do and that is their policy. I don't think this is an honest practice, I think it would be very easy for them to add "if paid off within 10 days" to the end of that statement because how am I supposed to know that if it's not stated in my contract?

Opp loans continues to add $200 to my balance each month when I am close to paying down my loan. I inquired about it on this last week and was told by a supervisor that the loan was accruing that amount of interest every month. I told this supervisor I want all my money back from being overcharged as this is highway robbery against customers.They also lie to you about your account. I was told my payment was deferred until the next month by a rep and then 3 days later received an email saying I missed a payment. This place is crooked as ever operated by thieves. What I do know is that I want all my money back from being overcharged each month. No one should be paying interest like that.

I called today, 08/31/2022, to let them know I needed a payment arrangement as I just moved and cant pay right now but will resume payment soon. Im on a weekly schedule and they said the payment due tomorrow will still come out, which is fine, except when I agreed to repayment, it was Wednesday, not Thursday, so they wont do any arrangement with me because they messed up the dates. I have been paying on this loan faithfully since last year 2021, it was recently that I printed out the contract and realized that I have been taken advantage of with the fees and high interest rates that if knowing in the beginning, I would have never agreed to these terms/conditions.

I took out a loan 7/15 for $2700. I did not realize the *** rate was 160% ***. I have made a $231 every two weeks since 7/22/22 (6 payments) which total $1155 and ONLY $167 of that $1155 has gone towards the principal amount of $2700. After 6 payments ($1155 total)! This is criminal and predatoy according to the *** and *** usury Laws with a 36% max *** rate of contracted loans under $5000. The bank funding is in UT which Is one of two states that do not have a cap on *** rate. The usury law in UT, states that it must be a conscionable amount regarding *** rate and not predatory and unethical when someone sees the amount of ***. On my contract, it lists the *** and the law includes third party loan lenders. This is illegal and they are preying on those who are down on their luck. Dont fall for it. If you have a signed contract, it is still illegal and you can file a complaint with the *** attorney generals office. And please do. You will get all even the principal amount forgiven and they will be getting a big fine and order to cease and desist.

Back in September , I was affected by COVID and reached out via phone to Opploans for assistance with payments. I came into contact with a representative named *** that wasn't very helpful at all, and was only trying to collect money from me to pay my loan. I called to inquire about financial assistance because I had received an email that assistance was available. She told me that before anything, I'd have to make a payment, so I did. The payment that I made allowed this representative to defer my next payment for two weeks (which apparently didn't happen). Once this payment was processed and cleared, I was told that I had to call back to find out about any further assistance. I called back and got a representative named *** that ACTUALLY wanted to do her job. She informed me that the last representative could have enrolled my account into a temporary hardship program, because my account was already eligible for the program. The program would roll any outstanding payments to the back of the loan to bring the account fully current. This representative helped me to enroll. However, the damage had been done because of the first representative. Although I made a payment, Opploans reported a 30 Day late payment to all credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion), which could have been avoided entirely had the first representative done her job. As a consumer, I have no control over how a company trains its employees. However, it is not fair that a customer is caused to suffer due to negligence on the part of Opploans' employees. I am requesting correction to my credit reports at the bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) to remove the 30 day late payment *** for September .

I have had a loan with Opploans since 2018
I have had a loan with Opploans since 2018. During my contract with them I've paid on time with sometimes where I wasn't able to, so I either deferred my payment or paid half of the amount due semi-monthly. My usual payment is $133.43 semi-monthly, so the half payment I would make if I couldn't afford the full payment was $67. As I started to review my account it just seemed that my balance wasn't going down, so I called and spoke to someone in February (can't remember his name), and he let me know that my account would be paid off in September as long as I continued to make my payments on time. Today(June 15th) I reached out to Opploans, to ask about the discrepancies on my account due to random amounts being put towards my interest payments and my principal balance. When I called, I reached a representative who couldn't assist me so she forwarded me to someone else. When I asked about the errors I found to be explained to me and when my account would be paid off, I was told that because I had passed my maturity date they couldn't give me an actual date. So I asked to be forwarded to someone else, which I was and started to speak with Amani. He told me that he couldn't assist me either. I am just very confused because I have paid so much money to this company over the past two years and they are still trying to keep charging me so much money. I did tell Amani that I was going to file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com, and he told me that he didn't want me to waste my time, because the Complaintsboard.com would not assist me. I felt like he was trying to threaten me and continue to lie to me so that I will be stuck to the debt forever. I really need to figure this out, so that I can be done with making payments to Opploans.
Our customer, implicated in a fraud scheme, was deceived into sharing personal info
Our customer was entangled in a fraud scheme where he received a call and the caller deceitfully obtained his personal information. The fraudster promised to send him money, concealing the fact that a loan was being procured in his name and using his social security number. He was instructed to withdraw the deposited money as a cashier's check and forward it to an address that would be given to him. He was told to keep the source and purpose of the funds secret from the bank. We detected the fraud and prevented the transfer of funds. A credit monitoring account was set up, revealing the loan he was unaware of. The loan was not taken out with your institution. We have the funds in a frozen account and are willing to return them, but we seek to have this cleared from his credit report and need guidance on returning the $1000.00. Enclosed are the police report and detailed notes from BMO and another bank. We request instructions to resolve this issue. Note that the customer does not have an email and can be reached by phone. He was directed by DAISY from the payments department to send this email, the police report, and photo ID once more. Despite sending these to the fraud team, we have not received assistance in resolving the fraudulent transaction.

FINWISE/OPPLOANS is reporting a charge-off on my consumer report.I've requested they send a copy of the ***-C that was filed when this account was charged off multiple times and I have not received anything. A ***-C is required by the *** to be filed for all canceled debt over $600. Not only is a ***-C required but canceled debt is required to be reported as gross income.Not only have I not received the ***-C, I've requested multiple times, but I have requested this inaccurate account be deleted from my consumer report and no action has been taken. On 10/10/2022, AAA informed me that Opportunity Financial LLC Opploans did not adhere to the Consumer Due Process Protocol and Arbitration Rules. I called to payoff my loan using my bank account information
I called to payoff my loan using my bank account information. After providing my bank account information, twice to confirm to make the full payoff payment. They rep who then took the account information down didn't put in correct and the payment never went through. Opp Loans then updated my credit to not only show an Increase in my balance, but also a 30 day late. This then caused extreme hardship as we are in the process of purchasing a home and hurt my credit score tremendously, by over 45 points. When I contacted opp loans, I was given an error code that the account number for my bank account was incorrect. When I asked to have this updated on my credit, after I submitted my debit card to fully pay the loan off, they told me that it was not possible and they report to credit in batches. I also asked for them to remove the 30 day late as this was an error on their part, to which they said is my responsibility to make the payment. On my end, I confirmed the account number with the individual twice. There was no way for me to know they took it down incorrectly. In the coming day's, I also received documentations for a receipt of payment, and also a separete document stating the account balance was $0. I have contacted several managers and different departments. They did acknowledge the payment and the account is paid in full, and that they would do an off cycle reporting to all 3 credit agencies. But that they would not remove the 30 day late. To me that is not acceptable considering I did everything on my end to have this account paid in full and given the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic have been under a great deal of stress with work and having 3 children. I am looking to have the 30 day late removed from my credit as soon as possible so we are able to complete our real estate transaction. Thank you. Nicholas A. Punzio

On April 1, I called Opp Loan to acquire a payoff on this account. Payoff was obtained and I provided it to my bank (***) in which cut a check and was mailed out the same day. I had a payment come out of my account on April 3rd, which was paid as planned. This account has NEVER had a late payment nor have I ever had to make an arrangement. This account has been paid ON TIME as scheduled! I have spoken with Opp Loans on April 17th, April 27th, May 1st, May 5th. May 15th and May 20th As of today, May 26th, payments have been made in the amount of 725.76 (plus another $181.44 that will be deducted from my account on May 29th) in which Opp Loan is still claiming that the check from Omni, dated back on April 1st has yet to be received. Again, the check was mailed on April 1. On April 27th, I spoke with Amani who requested proof from the bank with check date, amount and check number emailed from my email address so the payoff would upload into Opp Loans system. I provided that information the same day. Amani left me a voicemail stating that the information was received but would have to wait a few hours for the information to upload and would try to locate the check. Amani stated that mail center was open and functioning during COVID-19. It is very difficult to believe that the check has not yet to be located and applied to my account. I spoke my bank on May 15th who stated that it has been too long for the check and reissued another check. I contacted Opp Loan on May 15th and spoke with Stephen who verified Opp Loan address. Again, my bank (***) sent the check the same day. I provided a copy of the check to Opp Loans as well. May 20th, I spoke with Amani who stated that the first check has not been located, once the first check is located, my account will be back dated and funds will be reimbursed. However in the meantime, $181.44 will continue to be deducted from my account, even though I've sent proof of payoff twice!

I attempted to re-finance my loan through Opploans, which I have been using since early 2021. I was approved on 7/19 and was attempting to complete my application, but was getting either 404 site not found messages or the 500 server error. I called in to the customer service line, to which I was told by the representative that she could not pull up any of my info as the site was down. I asked if IT gave them an update on when the site would be up again. Customer service said about an hour. I thanked her and ended the call. I attempted to complete my application 5 more times throughout the day, every few hours to see if the application could go through, since I was in need of financial help to cover my mental health services. I eventually gave up on the application by 10p PST as I figured the next day would have better success.I then decided to send an email in to customer complains to let them know of my now rising interest (which results in lower $ to finance), stress of not having the money in time for my appointment, and my concern for this being a site breach and now my personal information has been leaked. On 7/20, I reattempted the application twice between the hours of 6a PST and 9a PST. I was able to get to my contract, but once I signed it, I would get the message "There was an error generating your signed contract". I thought this was odd, so I called customer service again. I was on hold for 47 minutes, with the message stating "call volume was higher than 10 min and to please wait" Once it got to the 47th minute, the message switched to "call volume is at 2 min and to please wait", then suddenly, the call ended. I had not touched my phone and it was on speaker, in front of me. I continued to try to sign my application about 8 times on 7/20, with no success. I also had not heard back from the customer complain email. It is now 7/21 and I still cannot sign my contract. I had to cancel my appointment and was still charged due to late cancellation.

In the beginning, all was fine. I was halfway through the payback schedule when I called to move my current payment out by a few days. The request was denied because they need 2 business days to honor that type of request. I called on Friday, the 18th, and the loan was due on Monday the 21st. I accepted that fact and told them I would try and figure something out. The next day after my call, the 19th, they debited my account for the bill for the 21st, putting my bank account into an overdraft situation. In essence, they took the funds out earlier than they were supposed to. When I tried to call the bank, the rep kept disconnecting the call. I had to call through another line as if I were a new customer and when I was transferred to my department, they kept hanging up on me. I have NEVER had a company do anything like this. The bill was due on the 21st, they have the authorization to debit my account on the 21st. It is in the contract, but because I needed to move the payment, and they said no, they decided to go into my bank account to remove the funds early.
The easiest process ever. They are quick and easy to deal with.
I like their service thank you very much, It help alot with christmas shopping and some others bills that i had past due
