64 Yr old, disabled with various mental and physical health problems, drove about a mile from home Sunday evening to my local Asda (closed, went then due to mental health) I intended to deposit some recyclable items at the facility provided by Asda, then to buy fuel at the immediately adjacent unmanned 24 card only petrol station, I became ill with symptoms of heart failure, which I suffer from, difficulty breathing, light headed, and my arms and hands became numb and very weak, (carpal tunnel syndrome, a symptom of heart failure) I rested in the car for a few minutes, then attempted to drive the few yards to the petrol pumps, I was clearly unfit to drive, so as not to break traffic law, and to avoid risking my life and the lives of other road users/pedestrians, or possible damage to property, I did as the law requires and stopped at the first available Safe place, an empty parking space in Asda's deserted car park, to recover, on such a short journey I did not take my phone, so was in effect stranded, a man eventually approached wearing a hi viz jacket, he stopped some distance away, did not see, or ignored my gesture for help, then walked away, later 2 cars circled me periodically with both drivers glaring at me, I thought I was about to be attacked, I now believe these to be parking eye employees, I spent less than an hour in all in the car park, until I felt safe to drive home, later I got a pcn for £70, I immediately appealed on their website, there was no indication, or email verifying they had received my appeal, so (after a little research about this gang) finding out about their practices I submitted 3 appeals over 3 consecutive days all went unanswered, I then received notice that I could no longer appeal and the charge had increased to £100, I emailed, no reply, they have now passed their inhumane claim to a debt collection agency, who want £140, I believe they deliberately ignored my appeal because clearly the contract that they claim you enter into by parking on private land is surely superceded by traffic law and common decency towards other people, I had the same thing happen a few days later at Morrisons store (open) was sent a pcn for £100 from Euro car parks, I appealed in exactly the same way, and within a few days it was recinded, I even sent a copy of the confirmation of the cancellation to this gang, in my 3rd appeal, by not rejecting my appeal they avoided sending me a rejection number, which is required to appeal to POPLA, parking eye was "SOLD" by capita, in 2018, you know the death squad used to harass the sick, old and vulnerable for bogus unpaid prescriptions, they stopped suddenly, I spent a year fighting them, over £100s of bogus demands, the same kind of tactics, there is a po box for parking eye in Blyth, just like the death squad, I will never pay £140 from disability benefit to these thieves, I will go to court if need be. Be very careful, keep records of all that you do when dealing with them, to the creature in the hi viz jacket, your inhumanity in ignoring me was in effect entrapment. You and Asda should be ashamed, Somerfield stores stopped using this gang because of their unethical practices, I have closed my Asda account, and will not go there ever again, of no consequence to them, but I will publicise they're use of this gang of cut throats whenever and wherever I can. why can a company have a money making petrol station open 24 hours on private land without any measures to ensure the safety of their customers? Surely at least unethical if not illegal.
