ParkingEye Parking notices too high to read correctly

I recently parked in the Lidl car park at Bishop Auckland after visiting the North East of England. On return to my home town, I received a £90 parking fine for being less than 30 minutes over their' imposed' limit. I was under the impression that I could park in Lidl and on driving in could not see any signs regarding a time limit. I asked one of my colleagues to see where the alleged signs were, and apparently, the one in question was on a 'lampost' over 3 metres from the floor. What a horrendous company!

Recommendation: Don't park in a Lidl car park!

You’ve got a keen eye for spotting the absurdity in ParkingEye's tactics. A sign 3 meters up on a lamppost? They must be counting on people to carry binoculars. That £90 fine for a minor overstay sounds like they’re more interested in cashing in than clear communication. Keep calling them out — companies like this thrive on people staying silent!

ParkingEye - Asda car park, no place to fall ill.

64 Yr old, disabled with various mental and physical health problems, drove about a mile from home Sunday evening to my local Asda (closed, went then due to mental health) I intended to deposit some recyclable items at the facility provided by Asda, then to buy fuel at the immediately adjacent unmanned 24 card only petrol station, I became ill with symptom...

In both occasions I was helping a family friend out for hospital appointments and myself and her both have blue badges the only evidence they have given is me doing out of the hospital AFTER removing my blue badge but when I explained this to them and also explaining I had witnesses as well as photos of both blue badges they refused to cancel both fines since this I never remove my blue badge from my window I am on disability and deal with depression and I can't afford to be paying for something I shouldn't have to

Claimed loss: Mental health getting worse with threatening letters

Desired outcome: I want both to be cleared

ParkingEye PARKING CHARGE REF. N. 196864/814337

Good evening,

on October 16th 2023 we have receveid by post in Italy the parking charge REF. N. 196864/814337 of 100 pounds.

The parking charge document says the fine would have been discounted to 60 pounds if payd within 14 days of the date issued.

If the date issued is 22/09/2023 and we have received the fine by post on 16/10/2023 how could we have possibly paid the discounted price?

Desired outcome: We expect to be able to pay the price of 60 pounds instead of 100 pounds as we were not given the option.

ParkingEye Parking charge notice

Parking Eye tried to take me to Court for a Parking Charge Notice. My van had overstayed on a car park, I wasn't the driver. I spoke with the driver and he was happy to accept the PCN, so I gave his name to Parking Eye, who duly contacted him but sent him the wrong PCN which he couldn't respond to. Parking Eye then reverted to pursuing me (as the Registered Keeper) for the money, falsely claiming that I hadn't provided them with the driver's name. I entered into correspondence with them but they refused to reply to any of my letters, instead just repeatedly demanding more and more money from me. They raised a case with the County Court and sent me a copy of their claim which was, effectively, a pack of lies. I employed a solicitor to defend me in court. Parking Eye backed out of the case two days before my case was due to be heard. I was unable to recover costs because they had withdrawn their claim. My solicitor believes they have acted fraudulently, lied to the Court and behaved in a vexatious and aggressive manner. We are considering suing them. Can you advise?

Desired outcome: I want compensation for the costs I have incurred and distress they have caused me with their false claims, vexatious harassment and aggressive posture

ParkingEye Ponds forge carpark

There is insufficient signage for people that are new to the area. The route in is one way so if you miss it you have to go all the way around. Having done this I was trying to not miss the turn. You enter the carpark on a bend so completely miss the sign on entrance that says the whole area is private land (Carefully placed to benefit the company, I think so) The two signs that are clear direct to the carpark being to the left. Having not parked here, because it was full and having actually left and parked on an unmarked road, I was surprised to recieve and extortionate parking charge. The charge is supposedly reduced in price if paid promptly and not to rise during appeal stages... yet it did. I already struggle to survive financially, their business is daylight robbery... literally. I am now awaiting court dates, facing additional charges as they dismissed my appeal entirely. I have read nothing but terrible things about this company, it needs shutting down!

Desired outcome: Cancelled parking fine and a promise to make signage visible throughout the private land. At the very least, a fine that is inline with guidelines, £50, halved to £25.

ParkingEye Parking fine for sold van

Scrapped a van (which was used as a shed) in February last year before moving house the next day.

Months later I start getting parking fines, parkingeye had been sending letters to my old address which was still empty then letters started coming to my new address from dcbl demanding £240,I got intouch with dcbl and explained I’d sold the van for scrap but I had informed dvla, was told to get intouch with dvla to get confirmation of the sale, dvla said there was no record and I should have contacted them sooner as a transfer note should have been provided (I’d moved so how was I to know a letter hadn’t been sent),however they acknowledged that the document had obviously been lost in the post and issued me with a letter saying the van had been transferred on the date I sold it (24th feb 2022), I passed this info on to dcbl who got intouch with the client (I presume parkingeye) then got another email saying dcbl had now closed the case, great,or so I thought! A week later get a notification for my credit score, checked it and a ccj had been added, then a letter off dcb-legal saying I had a month to pay £294 to get the ccj off my file.

Rang dcb-legal who said it didn’t matter that dcbl had closed the case as they’d been instructed to take it on but wouldn’t say who by,rang dcbl who again said they’d closed the case so couldn’t say anything else.

Now I’m stuck in a position, can’t speak to anyone at parkingeye as there’s no way of speaking to an actual person and I’ve got ten days to pay a £294 fine that isn’t right or get a ccj.

Turns out the scrap dealer had sold the van online to someone from nottingham,I went to the scrap dealer and got the name of the buyer and provided the new owners details to dcbl so they had a route to claim off someone but they didn’t want to know

Desired outcome: Case scrapped without a ccj

ParkingEye Butterfly Farm Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat

We parked here to use the Butterfly Farm and maze. We parked outside of the entrance to the farm. There were no visible signs that parking charges were required. There were no visible parking meters for payment. We went into the farm and left 59 minutes later. On exit, neither my wife nor I noticed any signage that suggested we were required to pay to park. Received a charge of 60 GBP for our less than 1 hour stay. Aside from an abundant lack of apparent signs or notification by anyone working in the Farm itself, this is highly unreasonable as a charge. How can that cost be justified for less than one hour at a car park that was less than 10 percent full? On what basis does this cover reasonable damages or loss of income? Absolutely appalling money trap that we fell into that must be a collusion between parking eye and the visitor attraction. Our appeal was rejected based on very little apparent reasoning. We would happily pay the parking charge retrospectively, and would encourage parking eye to review their signs, notifications, and position of pay meters at this site, because it is all inadequate.

Desired outcome: Refund of the 60 GBP less the actual costs of parking on the day, which is the reasonable thing to request us to pay.

ParkingEye Parking Appeal

Parked in Angel Corbridge in a disabled bay, clearly showing the disabled badge on the dashboard Mon 3rd April

Queued for over 20 mins to order drinks, and food and confirm parking requirements. The Angel decided that they weren't serving any more food ( yes, at 12.30 lunchtime, they seemingly couldn't cope with a half-full restaurant) and asked us to leave.

Left as quickly as possible for someone with disabilities. Received a fine despite appealing and explaining the situation and sharing blue card details etc Parking Eye rejected it. So not only did we receive extremely poor customer service Parking Eye has also discriminated against a disabled customer who was a legitimate customer before the venue decided they couldn't actually serve people.

Desired outcome: Fine cancelled and apology

ParkingEye Appeal against a Parking charge notice

Ref No: 426680/859399. I received this parking charge notice and appealed the same day it was received. I heard nothing from you regarding this but received a notice reminder . I sent a further email via the appeal button on the website asking if my appeal had been successful but again I have not heard from you. I am therefore assuming that this charge has been withdrawn and I no longer have to pay but would like this confirmed please.

Desired outcome: Confirm that I no longer have to pay this charge and that it has been cancelled.

ParkingEye Parking fine

I have received a parking fine from parking eye dated 24.4.23 at Moorgate retail park, bury.

The fine is for alledgedly entering a car park at 16.39 until 8.47 the following day.

This wasn’t my car as I was going to a concert that night in Manchester. I finish work in bury at 16.30, drive home to Oldham and was in Manchester for 18.30 that night. I also have receipt from Tesco express in shaw, Oldham at 17.17 on 24.4.23 that night as I quickly called in on my way home.

This fine does not belong to me , I honestly don’t know how it has recorded my car entering the car park, saying I left at 8.47 the following day = over 16 hours in total. I have proof that I was in Manchester that night, a venue which I drove to.

Desired outcome: Parking fine is cancelled

I do work with the police I was on the job with the police officer PC Aiden Siemers-Mayne 641 at the Ibis Hotel Rugby East to take a statement I was parked next to the police officer's car. Nobody at the reception asked me for my registration knowing that it was my first time entering this hotel.

The police officer is from Daventry Police Station.

I work for Cintra Ltd which is a police agency, it was not my fault that no one asked me for my car registration it is their job to do so.

ParkingEye Being fined for parking that I paid for.

I received a parking fine from parkingeye stating I never paid for parking at Byron street Coventry. I arrived at the NHS city of Coventry health centre CV1 4FF, at 18.45 as I had been asked to attend the NHS targeted lung check up. I was there from 18.45 untill 20.25, as they were running late, my actual appointment time was 7pm. When I came out I put my registration into the payment machine, the registration was not recognised, the machines flagged up a message you could still be fined if no payment it also asked for time of arrival. I put in 18.45 the machine flagged up £2.50 to pay. I appealed and sent evidence of payment the appeal was unsuccessful, had to pay £20.00, they say I was in the wrong place. The receipt from the machine states stony Stanton road, which is also Byron street and Russell Street that they cover, They should change the receipts to show all 3 of their car parks. The screenshot sent is stating they cover the 3 parking places so how I not paid the the £2.50 to them

Desired outcome: Refund of £20.00

ParkingEye I want a refund.

I received a fine from Parking Eye ref 556273/723214 on 25/10/2022. I appealed on the grounds that I was shopping in the shop, provided proof and won the appeal. In the meantime I had pd £45 to avoid the full charge should the appeal be unsuccessful. I got a letter confirming I had won the appeal on the 8/11/2022 stating that I would be refunded by post within 40 days. I am still waiting for a refund and have no way of contacting the company as all their telephone lines are automated.

ParkingEye Got charged for a car that wasn't mine

My father got a ticket in his car and it was sent to my address. I live with my elderly aunt and have no link to my father bar our names are very similar

We all called and sent letters. I even have a letter confirming it's not my car or my address or me they were after. And still the letters came more letter and calls and still more letters after promising it was sorted

Same from the solicitor. Gladstones and dcb legal and still nothing was sorted. Untill out of the blue I get a CCJ

I paid it so it was not on my record but now they can't find my information and I don't exist and they won't answer the phone

Desired outcome: Refund and money for the months of stress and loss of earnings for all of us

I’m in the same boat, sold a van for scrap, months later started getting letters for parking fines, showed the letter off dvla saying the van wasn’t mine after dcbl asked for this information, dcbl said the case was now closed then a week later get a ccj on my file “as dcblegal have decided to take the case on 😡

The whole system is a farce and needs rapidly sorted, they’re just bullies who demand payment, getting a ccj for a parking fine should be better regulated or banned altogether.

Hope you got yours sorted

ParkingEye Complaint

Parked at a hospital in Cardiff to attend a physiotherapy appointment with our son.. the parkingeye hasn't been working there the numerous times we've attended before and had been told by hospital receptionists not to enter car registration, we weren't told any different this time as to it working. Received a fine with photos of us entering and leaving the car park (normal car park spaces) and asked for evidence of being guests of the hospital to appeal the fine. This evidence was provided in form of an appointment letter. Mentioned in the appeal we attended an appointment with our disabled son so then they wanted proof of a blue badge. We aren't entitled to a blue badge due to our sons age, regardless of which we weren't parked in a disabled bay! We disputed the fine again as we'd provided evidence of being guests and weren't parked in a disabled bay. They've now said we are out of appeals and they've removed themselves from any possible alternate dispute resolution and increased the fine. Absolutely disgusting service by a company who are clearly out for any money they can make off people, even when there is clear evidence to show we were parked legitimately.

ParkingEye Parking tickets

I am absolutely raging with parking eye, I received a parking ticket last week which I paid now this week I’m receiving yet another one? How is that fair I parked my car in a car park 2 days in a row I am an apprentice on minimum wage and was using the car to get to a meet up point at 5 in the morning in the dark so never noticed signs or anything and the fact parking eyes phone numbers are just automated messages infuriates me as it won’t let me talk to someone about this issue instead the automated message always hangs up. So they just block you out and take your money with no remorse

Desired outcome: To get my ticket removed
