My company uses Paychex for payroll and benefits. I have a Benefits account with Paychex where they keep some of my money untaxed, so that I can use it for paying health costs when they arise. It is supposed to be as simple as filing a receipt with them and getting my money reimbursed. However, it is never that simple. Paychex makes it almost not worth it to be in this program, because if time were money, I probably waist as much time/money dealing with them as the money I save untaxed. They never reimburse me with a proper receipt. They always act like you are crook and don't deserve your own money. It is pretty simple to understand what a copay is, and yet they do not reimburse you unless you get a detailed receipt which you have to ask the doctor for at a later date. Even then, I have been denied. Then, when I complained, they told me that if I included a copy of the insurance claim with the receipt as proof that they would reimburse me. However, I have done that and still been denied. It should not be this hard to get reimbursed with my own money.
Desired outcome: The application of a little common sense, and a little trust in both the physician's office and myself would go a long way.
