Poor Customer Service and Frustrating Exchange Process at Peoples Jewellers
I bought a ring from Peoples Jewellers website a couple of months ago to give as a gift. Unfortunately, the ring was too big for the recipient and we found out just past the 30-day return period. I've been trying to exchange it for the right size since then. I was told that I had to exchange the ring in person, even though I live an hour away from their nearest store. When I got to the store, I was hoping that they could take the returned ring and order me a new one in the right size. But, I was told that I would get an egift card within 48 business hours and I would have to reorder it myself once I got the gift card.
I was already frustrated by this since I bought the ring on sale and now have to pay more for it just to get it in a different size. But, it gets worse. The ring went completely out of stock online, and after those 48 business hours were up, I still have no refund. I messaged a chat representative today to ask about my missing egift card, and they informed me that it will actually be a refund to my credit card within 14 days. I called customer service to complain that it's been a month since my issue occurred, and I still have no money and no ring. But, they said that since I'm getting my money back, there's nothing else they can do for me.
I will definitely be purchasing a ring from a different company for the gift, and furthermore, I will never shop here again. Overall, what should have been a simple exchange turned into a disaster that customer service seemed to care very little about. I'm disappointed with the service I received from Peoples Jewellers.
Peoples Jewellers' Lifetime Warranty is a Scam - Buyer Beware!
I gotta say, I ain't too happy with Peoples Jewellers. I sent my wedding ring in to get sized and they took pictures and all that jazz, but then I waited over a month just to hear that it needed $450 worth of repairs. Now, I only paid $200 for the ring back in 2013 and I paid $95 for the lifetime warranty, so you can imagine my shock when they told me the damage wasn't covered. They sent it back to me and refused to do anything else about it.
But here's the kicker - if I wanted a replacement ring, I'd have to pay the warranty fee again based on the new price of the ring, which is now $500. And get this, the store manager told me that these new rings are inferior products and will only last a couple years, so I'll likely have to replace it again and buy another warranty every few years. What kind of lifetime protection plan is that?
And to top it all off, they claim that the manager isn't even trained to look for damage, even though she was able to work the microscope and show me the damage. So why even bother taking pictures and inspecting it if they're not gonna cover any damage? And why offer a lifetime protection plan that says it covers all necessary repairs from normal use, but then turn around and say they won't cover it even though they believe it was caused by normal use?
Now I'm stuck with a ring that doesn't fit and a voided lifetime warranty. It's got no value now and if I pay $155 again for the protection plan, I'm paying more than the ring was even worth just in plans that I know won't cover it the next time it needs fixing. Not cool, Peoples Jewellers. Not cool at all.
Disappointing Experience with People's Jewellers: Ring Resizing Error and Unresolved Refund Issue
Horrible. I went to the store in Oshawa because I wanted to resize my ring. But the employees at the store said that the only way to make it happen was to return it and reorder in the right size. I followed the instructions and waited for two whole months to get my money back, and even after multiple calls to their customer service line, my issue hasn't been resolved yet. This made me feel like People's Jewellers owe me a lot of money, and they don't seem to pay any mind on sorting things out so I can get my refund sorted out. Every time I contact them over the phone, they tell me to give it a few days and that the refund is on its way. However, so far, there hasn't been any noticeable progress in getting this sorted out. It's a shame that they don't seem to care that they stole money from me, as I was just trying to make a purchase from their store.
It's frustrating because I don't have the ring anymore since I returned it to the store, yet I don't have my money either, as they won't return it to me. Today, I spent an hour and a half on the phone with them, and still didn't get any solution. They said they were going to call me back in ten minutes, but it's been almost an hour now, and I doubt I'll hear from them anytime soon. Honestly, it feels like they just don't want to deal with this issue, and I'm tired of wasting my time trying to get this sorted out.
Disappointed with Peoples Jewellers' Service: Life Time Warranty Promise Broken
So, I went on Peoples Jewellers website and bought myself a beautiful ring. I was so excited when it arrived and couldn't wait to wear it out. However, I soon realized that the ring was a bit too small for my finger and needed to be sized up.
I remembered buying the life time warranty that promised to cover for the ring being sized up, so I went ahead and dropped it off at the store. While at the store, I also dropped off an older ring for size adjustment. The sales associate assured me that it would only take three weeks to have both rings adjusted, and they would call me with the cost.
As expected, they called me two weeks later, but to my disappointment, they told me that sizing up both rings would cost double the amount. I was only comfortable with paying for the new ring, which was covered by the warranty.
This whole process of waiting for the rings to be adjusted took another three weeks, and I eventually decided to call the store to check on the status after the expected waiting time had passed. I was shocked to learn that both of the rings had been returned to the store without being sized up!
To make matters worse, they asked me to pay for the size adjustment, which I had to remind them was covered by the warranty. They claimed there was some misunderstanding and blamed it all on Covid19. I was frustrated at this point and had lost all interest in the ring because the occasion I bought it for had passed and lost its significance.
I only hoped that the outcome of this mess would be worth waiting for, but I honestly doubt it. I am disappointed with the service of Peoples Jewellers and would rethink buying from them again.
Disappointing Experience with Peoples Jewellers - No Basic Warranty Provided for $800 Gold Bracelet
I just recently got a gold bracelet from Peoples Jewellers in Brockville on the 25th of September, 2020. The cost of it was $800. It's made of 10k gold and it looked and felt like it was in great quality. However, just a few days ago, on the 12th of October, 2020, I was wearing the bracelet and it suddenly broke at one of the links, not the clasp part. It was totally unexpected because I had always been very careful with my jewelry. Judging from the way it broke, it wasn't pulled apart - it just came apart by itself.
Soon after the incident, I called the store to explain the situation. They scheduled me for an appointment in the following days and I brought the broken bracelet to them. Unfortunately, what they said was very disappointing. Their only proposal was to fix the bracelet and charge me for the repair. They added that since I didn't get the extended warranty for it, there wasn't anything else they could do for me.
I was flabbergasted. I asked them why they didn't have a basic warranty on their expensive items, especially for one that only lasts for 3 weeks. Their response to me was a plain "yes, that's correct". It's quite absurd really, what sort of jewelry store does not have a basic warranty for their products? Peoples Jewellers clearly does not, and it's not the first time I have experienced issues with their jewelry falling apart. The customer service I received was, for lack of a better word, terrible. They didn't seem to care about my predicament and were rude and discourteous.
After such bad treatment, there is absolutely no way I would shop at this jewelry store again, no matter what. Honestly, there are better options, like going to pawn shops or other stores. So, the bottom line is, save your money from Peoples Jewellers and stay away from them!
Peoples Jewellers: A Disappointing Purchase Experience
So, I bought a ring for my boo's birthday from Peoples Jewellers, where I was getting different responses from customer service representatives on chat and phone calls. After taking the risk and going to the store, I finally managed to pick out the perfect surprise for my partner. I was so excited to gift him on his birthday, which had a big diamond-looking rock in it, with a paper that contained the ring details and delivery date of the 14th of October.
However, five days after I placed the order, to my dismay, they cancelled it because the damn thing was out of stock! And guess what? All the agents had the same vibe of "We're giving you back your money, go pick something else!" I mean, seriously, bruh! Are they serious?! These guys have no regard for people's special moments, and their products only bring disappointment!
To make things better, I looked up and found a ring that was $50 more than the one I bought initially. As a solution, I asked them to give it to me for the same price, but they said, "Nah, it's not the same item," even though the item I want is not available, and I'm just here thinking, what kind of solution is that?
Honestly, I haven't even told my partner that the gift he was supposed to receive is now a no-go. What a bummer, right? The worst part is, the ring is still available for purchase on their website in all sizes, so I'm not the only one facing this issue.
In conclusion, Peoples Jewellers is not as great as they want you to believe and order from. Save yourself the heartache and go to a better jeweller that cares about you!
Peoples Jewellers Review: Frustrating Experience with Order Cancellation, Billing Errors, and Conflicting Info
I tried buying some jewelry on Peoples Jewellers' website on March 21st, and at first it seemed like everything was going smoothly. My payment went through without any problems, so I was surprised when I got an email from them an hour later saying that my order had been cancelled. When I called to ask why, they told me that it had been "flagged" due to incorrect billing information. I double and triple-checked my info, and even contacted the bank just to make sure everything was correct before calling them back to let them know they made a mistake. Eventually they realized their error and admitted it, but when I asked them to reinstate my order since they already had my money, they refused. They said that I'd get my money back in 1-3 business days, but after two weeks I still hadn't received it. I had to call them 9 times before they finally sorted it out over the phone and refunded me.
After that fiasco, I decided to place another order, this time with the help of a human representative to make sure everything was correct. However, even after verifying all of my information multiple times through different channels (phone, live chat), I found myself still getting conflicting information. According to my email confirmation, it would take 10 business days for my order to be processed, but the online portal said 1-3. This made it hard for me to plan my proposal, as I couldn't even get a straight answer from the seller about when I could expect my purchase to arrive. It's frustrating and frankly unprofessional.
All in all, my experience with Peoples Jewellers has been extremely aggravating and disappointing. If it weren't for the fact that my eventual fiancée adores the ring I ordered so much, I would have taken my business elsewhere. As it stands, I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
A Review of Peoples Jewellers: Misleading Delivery Times and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I tried buyin' somethin' from Peoples Jewellers and it was a total disaster. I ordered it online and it said it would be here in two days, but I never got no update on it. So, I checked the status online and it said it wouldn't be here for another two months! What the heck, right?
So I called up their customer service and spoke to this nice lady. I told her what happened and she said sorry and all that, but apparently lots of people have been havin' the same issue with dates bein' wrong on their website. She said I could cancel it, so I called the toll free number and spoke to this rude lady in the States. She offered no apologies for the inconvenience and said if I get an email confirmatin' the cancellation then it'll be cancelled. But guess what? I never got that email.
So I went online to talk to another rep, and they said the order has already shipped and I can't cancel it. What am I supposed to do now? Wait a whole month for it to arrive and then travel an hour just to return it? People's Jewellers just lost a customer, and I'm gonna tell all my friends 'bout my horrible experience.
Poor Customer Service Experience at People's Jewellers
Yesterday, I visited People's Jewellers to get a replacement wedding ring for my hubby because it's our 10th anniversary this coming weekend. I was hoping to give him a surprise, but I didn't know his ring size. Sadly, both entrances were blocked due to Covid-19 restrictions so I had to wait outside. It took me a while to finally get inside as their staff seemed preoccupied with other things. When another person arrived, they let them in at once, and I had to go up to them and greet them again. Finally, I got in and talked to one of the staff.
I was quite disappointed with the service there as the lady who helped me wasn't very knowledgeable and didn't seem to know much about the rings. Despite my asking for assistance, she still failed to provide me with the help I needed. I even asked her if they were busy, and she said yes, as they were filling online orders. I then selected a ring but was informed I wasn't allowed to have it until my husband came in and got measured, which meant I couldn't have it for our anniversary celebration. I was quite frustrated and asked if I could just pay and come back later for a fitting. However, the rep said no, and I left feeling like they didn't care about their customers and were more focused on their online orders than the walk-in visitors to their physical store.
Feeling discouraged, I went to Charmed Diamond Centers around the corner, where I was greeted by two friendly and welcoming staff members. I explained my situation and needs, and without any hesitation, they helped me find a ring and sized me up without any issues whatsoever. It was a quick, easy process, and I had my new ring in under ten minutes.
In conclusion, People's Jewellers should improve their customer service as they seem more focused on online orders than people visiting their store. I was let down by the entire experience and won't be shopping there again or recommending them to anyone else. I would say that they need to step up their game if they want to stay in business, or people will find other jewellery stores that value their customers more.
Terrible customer service and low-quality products: My experience with Peoples Jewellers
I gotta say, Peoples Jewellers is something else. I wouldn't even give them a one star if that was an option. My friend has been going through a rough journey with Peoples and their customer service sucks hard. From October 2019 to June 2020, my friend has been trying to engage with their service but it's just been a rollercoaster ride from the shops at Calgary Market Mall, South Center Mall, and Chinook Mall. Her fiancé even bought her a ring that was low quality, but set at a high price. Like, what kind of bogus deal is that?
My friend's ring had to go back for resizing three more times and each wait took six darn weeks each. The center diamond even fell out of the ring after 45 minutes of holding onto it and for my friend to wait for two whole months to get it properly sized is just ridiculous. But guess what? The diamond fell out AGAIN after the fourth sizing so it had to go back again. The bridge's halo also got bent a week after they finally received the ring. Don't even get me started on the customer service staff who just fixed it IN FRONT of us with a pair of pliers like it was just some daily occurrence. What the heck is that? If you're gonna sell rings for three grand, make sure you know what you're doing! They should have informed my friend of all the issues that would come with the ring style she chose, not just push for a sale.
By February 2020, my friend got a new ring for the "sturdiness" but still has not received it. The staff called in June 19 to inform her about the arrival of her "sturdy" ring but heck, the wedding is already on August 15! How are you gonna notify someone after waiting such a long time? She's been engaged for 8 months only to have the ring for three weeks! The staff's response was 'sweetie, this happens.' Come on now, that's just disrespectful.
I wouldn't trust Peoples Jewellers anymore. Their service is awful and they don't even care about making this special moment memorable for people. Spence Diamond, on the other hand, worked really well with us and made sure we were satisfied with the product. If you're planning to buy jewelry, don't go to Peoples. Trust me, you'll regret it.

Peoples Jewelers: Monumentally Bad Customer Service and Awareness
I gotta say, I'm not one to complain, but Peoples Jewelers really got me going. I was tryna buy a bracelet for my daughter's 21st birthday, and let me tell you, that's a pretty big deal for us. So I go on their website and order the dang thing, feeling pretty good about myself. But then, the next day, I get a notification saying that the bracelet won't even ship until a whole month later - after my daughter's birthday!
So I call up their customer "disservice" (love that one, by the way) and they tell me I can only cancel the order within the first hour of placing it. Like, what kind of nonsense is that? They apologized a bunch of times, but the best they could do was put in a request to cancel the order and then just leave me hanging, not knowing if it would actually work or not.
I mean, come on, Peoples Jewelers. This is the kind of stuff I used to see on those old British sitcoms, not from a real-life corporation in the 21st century. Your customer awareness and support is seriously lacking, and it's honestly pretty impressive how monumentally bad it is.
So yeah, I'm not too happy with Peoples Jewelers right now. Maybe they'll get their act together someday, but until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Terrible Customer Service and Quality: My Disappointing Experience with Peoples Jewellers
I gotta say, I bought these cute Minnie Mouse earrings from Peoples Jewellers and boy was I disappointed. I talked to one of their workers and they told me I had to pay the full price to get them fixed or they'd only give me half the price in store credit. Like, seriously? I bought these online and don't have the receipt anymore, but they can see it on their computer and that's not good enough? My granddaughter only wore them once to a Disney show and took a nap with them on. The bow fell off after just one day! What a rip-off. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Peoples Jewellers. They don't care about their customers at all. Where's the customer service? Not at Peoples, that's for sure. I've bought stuff from them before, but I'm never buying anything from them again. If you have any problems with their stuff, good luck getting it fixed. I'd give them a big fat zero.
Terrible Experience with Peoples Jewellers: Lost Engagement Ring and Poor Customer Service
I had a really bad experience with Peoples Jewellers. I sent my wedding ring to be engraved and my engagement ring to be cleaned 5 weeks before my wedding. I was told it would take 3 weeks. After 3 weeks it still hadn't left their workshop so the store put a rush on it. It was shipped 3 days after my first call to the store. I called again on the 5 days later to see where it was and I was told it had been shipped and they would call me. I contacted them again 2 days after that and complained and finally they realized the shipment from their repair shop has been lost by UPS!
So 3 days out from my wedding and I don't have a ring. I will never get my engagement ring back and although they are rushing to replace the ring, I have not received any other form of compensation for the loss of such a special piece of jewelry. I was just fobbed off with a weak uncaring sorry.
I was really disappointed with the service I received from Peoples Jewellers. It was a really special time in my life and they ruined it. I was really upset and I felt like they didn't care about me or my situation. I think that they should have done more to make it right and to show that they care about their customers. I have learnt my lesson, I will never shop at Peoples Jewellers again and I recommend you don't either.

Mixed Experience with Peoples Jewellers: Disappointing Quality and Customer Service
I've had a mixed experience with Peoples Jewellers. While I've purchased three pairs of earrings from them, two of them have already fallen apart. It's pretty disappointing, to be honest. I bought my mom two pairs of earrings for Christmas and Valentine's Day because I wasn't sure what else to get her. She doesn't wear earrings very often, only for special occasions. It's important to note that she's only worn each pair about three times since I gave them to her a few months ago. Here are the issues we've had with each pair:
The pearl earrings: The pearl disconnected from the actual stud.
The hoops: We were at a birthday party when we noticed that her left earring was missing. Thankfully, it was a small backyard, so we found it quickly. When we tried to put it back on, we realized that the clasp was loose and didn't close properly.
I contacted their customer service chat line, and they asked me basic questions like my name, order number, and what the problem was. The only issue was that it took them five minutes between each question to respond. By the time they tried to give me a solution, it had already been 35 minutes, and they just told me to go to an in-person shop.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Peoples Jewellers. While their website is easy to use and their selection is decent, the quality of their products and customer service leaves something to be desired. I'm not sure if I'll be shopping with them again in the future.
Disappointing Experience with Peoples Jewellers: Chain Broke Twice, Long Repair Time, and No Refund Offered
I wanted to share my experience buying from Peoples Jewellers, because it was not the best. I got a gold chain for my boyfriend in February of 2020, as it was our anniversary and I wanted to celebrate it with a nice present. I believed that Peoples Jewellers was a trustworthy place to shop, but unfortunately, my expectations were not met. The chain broke not even a month after having it, and I was very disappointed.
We decided to send it back for repairs, and that was when the whole journey began. It took a staggering nine months for the chain to be repaired and sent back to us. I tried to be patient and understanding since everything was closed due to the pandemic, and I knew that it might take longer than usual to get it done. However, after the first few months passed, I started to get worried.
We had to call and email them multiple times to get updates on the status of the chain, and every time we did, we were told that it was still being repaired. The frustrating part was that they had no record of the chain being brought back in, as the entire store staff had changed in the middle of this. Imagine our surprise when we finally received the chain back, but it broke again on the first day of picking it up!
Luckily, I had purchased a lifetime warranty for the necklace, which saved us from experiencing the same problem all over again. By this point, I didn't want to have anything to do with Peoples Jewellers anymore. I asked for a refund, but all they offered was a new chain or store credit, which did not satisfy me.
In conclusion, I would advise anyone thinking of buying from Peoples Jewellers to take their money elsewhere. Although they have beautiful pieces, the experience of dealing with them is not worth the frustration and stress that comes along with it. It's a shame that such a reputable store disappoints its customers in such a way.
Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Delay Ruins Graduation Gift - Peoples Jewellers Review
I bought this ring for my grand daughter's graduation and thought it would arrive in time, but boy was I wrong. I got an email that said it wouldn't even be shipped for another month after the initial month wait for delivery. It's like they just don't care about their customers. When I asked for a refund, they said I could only cancel within an hour of purchase. How ridiculous is that? They were quick to take my money but now they don't want to give it back. I'll never buy from Peoples again and I'm really upset that they ruined such a special occasion for my grand daughter. It's hard enough with everything that's going on right now and then this had to happen. Seriously disappointed with Peoples Jewellers.
Peoples Jewellers customer service needs improvement for ring repair
I brought in a ring that my mom gave me. It's got a blue sapphire and some shiny diamonds in it. Had it checked by people at the Peoples Jewellers store, they said it needed new prongs and sizing. I was waiting for their call for 3 whole weeks! I called twice and the people who picked up the phone didn't seem to know what they were talking about. So I went to the Ottawa store today to see what's going on. The two employees there were making excuses, saying I needed even more work done on the ring, it's like they don't want to help me out at all. One of them is the one who checked my ring before and he didn't seem to remember me or my ring at all! Then the manager came in and nobody knew what to say. They just said they'll contact me on Tuesday (Nov 12), which sounds like an awfully long time to wait. This is already an $800 repair, so I would have hoped to get things sorted out a little faster. But we'll see what happens, I guess.
Frustrating experience with Peoples Jewellers online order & customer service
Ordered a necklace for a gift from peoplesjewellers.com, and I was told there might be a small delay in delivery, but it ended up being way longer than expected. I ordered in May, and my email confirmation said June 30th, but it took over an hour to receive it, so cancelling wasn't an option. Since May, I haven't been able to reach online chat or customer service, and it's now July. I've received two different stories on when I might get the necklace, but I can't believe either because both were guessing. I get that there are Covid-related delays, but I received something from Scotland within two weeks, and I'm still waiting for my Canadian order after two months? Like, come on! The lack of communication has been beyond unreasonable, and the little assistance I've gotten hasn't been helpful at all. Honestly, if you're thinking about ordering from Peoples Jewellers online, I'd say don't bother. It's been a frustrating experience for me.
Peoples Jewellers: Unreliable Service and Unethical Pricing Tactics
I recently made an online purchase from Peoples Jewellers and I must say it was not a pleasant experience. I had my eye on an item that was on sale for a whopping $29.99, down from its original price of $129.99. Excited about my purchase, I quickly created an account, placed the order and made the payment. However, to my surprise, my order disappeared! I was extremely disappointed and frustrated.
I decided to contact their customer service through chat to inquire about my order. The representative informed me that the item was no longer available online and was only available in-store. I was then rudely told that they could not do anything to help me and was cut off immediately. I must say, I was very displeased with this experience.
To add insult to injury, I checked the price of the same item online just 4 days later and was shocked to see that it was now regularly priced at $169.99, with a sale price of $129.99. This just doesn't seem ethical to me! Why would they adjust their prices like that? I refuse to give Peoples Jewellers any more of my business either online or in-store.
In conclusion, my experience with Peoples Jewellers was not a pleasant one and I felt like I was not treated with respect. I can only give them a 1 out of 10 rating, purely because I cannot give them a zero rating. I would advise potential customers to be cautious when making purchases from their website.
Disappointing Purchase: Poor Quality & No Warranty - People's Jewellers Review
Ordered two rings for my daughters with real ruby and garnet gemstones and diamonds in between. Took so long to arrive and came separately about a month apart. After received them, I noticed that my daughter's order has stones that looked much paler than what was shown on the website. My daughter then ordered me a matching ring with genuine stones and when we received it, we were stoked to put it on. Four months after receiving the ring, my daughter noticed the two diamonds were missing from her ring. Super bummed out, we contacted People's Jewellers right away. To our astonishment, they refused to fix it because they did not provide any type of warranty in this case. They told us we would have to pay for any repairs ourselves.
Mega frustrated with the experience and the quality of the ring. The stones were not matching the description and it was obvious that they did not make a good quality ring. The undisclosed warranty is a great disappointment and a red flag that we should have seen. All in all, definitely reconsidering our future purchases with People's Jewellers.
Disappointing Experience with Peoples Jewellers: A Review of Poor Customer Service and Quality
I got a necklace from my husband last Christmas. It was real pretty, but on the 26th of December, it broke while I was showing it to my sister and fell on the floor. I was so mad coz it wasn't cheap. I brought it to Peoples Jewellers so they could fix it. They said they had to send it out, so I thought, "Screw that, I'll just pick something else instead of waiting." One thing I picked was a pair of them small, round earrings that sparkled. I really liked them until the stem came out the back of the earring. I brought them back to Peoples Jewellers, and they said it would cost almost as much as the earrings to fix the stem. I wanted to trade them out, but they said no! So then I got on the phone and called customer care, and those dudes were real mean to me. They said I should've bought extended warranty if I wanted my earrings fixed. How bogus! I've been going to Peoples Jewellers for a long time now, and they really let me down this time. I care about high-quality stuff, and this just ain't it. They need to think more about customer satisfaction, ya know?
Peoples Jewellers: Lifetime Warranty or Pay for Repairs? A Disappointing Experience
My husband surprised me with a beautiful necklace from Peoples Jewellers as an anniversary gift on April 21st, 2021. Unfortunately, I had to bring it in for repair today because it broke. To my surprise, I found out that without purchasing the lifetime warranty, I would have to pay $70+GST for the repair. On the other hand, the lifetime warranty costs $139.00 with GST.
I couldn't believe it! The necklace broke in less than a year, and I have to pay for the repair? We weren't even sure if we had bought the warranty, so we were stuck between paying the repair fee or paying for the warranty. In the end, we decided to pay for the warranty. But seriously, what kind of policy is that? There should be a free fix within a year!
I was extremely disappointed with the service I received at Peoples Jewellers. I should have trusted the negative reviews that warned me that the same necklace broke right away. I won't be buying from People's Jewellers anymore. Their customer service is not up to par, and their policy of only having 60 days for free repair is ridiculous. What piece of jewelry will break in just 60 days? Unless it's a quality issue or you wear it every day, it's not reasonable.
In conclusion, my experience at Peoples Jewellers was disappointing. I suggest looking elsewhere for your jewelry needs.
Peoples Jewellers: Terrible Customer Service and Lost Records!
Let me tell you, Peoples Jewellers is the WORST when it comes to customer service. It's like they don't care about their customers at all! I went to their store in the mall a while back to get my ring fixed. It was fine at the time, but it's lost a few diamonds since I got it and I needed to get it repaired. They told me that they were going digital now, so I didn't need to bring any paperwork with me for my lifetime warranty. They said it was all linked to my phone number now. Normally, they would give me a receipt and fill out some paperwork, but this time they didn't give me anything. I guess it made sense at the time because of the pandemic, but now it's causing me all sorts of problems!
So, fast forward a few months to when I needed to get my ring checked again. I called them up and gave them my phone number, but they had no record of me going into the store since 2019! Can you believe that? What kind of company loses records like that? When I went to the store to straighten things out, the lady working there was SO RUDE. She wouldn't even check my phone number and just told me I had to pay for the repairs. Then, when she finally checked my papers, she saw that the ring actually lost another diamond. I couldn't believe it!
I'm telling you, stay away from Peoples Jewellers. They don't care about their customers and their customer service is nonexistent. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
Be Aware Before Getting Your Ring Sized Down: A Review of Peoples Jewellers' Sizing Process
Hey, just wanna let you all know something I learned about Peoples Jewellers. So, if ya get your ring sized down and then later wanna size it up again, even with a warranty, they gonna charge ya to keep the original look of the ring. What's that mean? Well, the ring gonna be thinned out, not back to how it looked when Peoples sold it.
So, if ya thinkin' of sizin' down for whatever reason, like to change fingers or because ya put on some weight, ya might wanna think twice. The goldsmith gonna have to stretch out that ring, so it gonna look different than before. It ain't gonna go back to how it was when ya bought it.
Now, here's the real kicker - they don't tell ya this when they're tryna sell ya on that extended service plan that lets ya size up or down 2 sizes whenever ya want. In the past, the rings used to get sized real nice, back to how they were originally. But not no more, I reckon.
So, just thought ya should know before ya go gettin' your ring sized down. It might end up bein' a bit of a bummer if ya ain't prepared for the change in the look of the ring.
Disappointing Experience with Peoples Jewellers: Ring Setting and Exchange Issues
My partner got a ring from Peoples Jewellers on their web page and let me say it came with some issues. We live a bit far away from any city or town and with Covid going on it took more than a month for it to arrive at our doorstep. But, luckily, my partner bought it in time for a very special occasion, proposing to me on his mom's birthday. However, there was a major problem with the ring - the setting was not what we expected. The pictures online did not show how high the ring was, and we were not very satisfied with it.
To make matters worse, when we sent the ring back to get it fixed, there was a shipping error and it took longer to get it back. The letter we received from Peoples Jewellers stated that we were 55 days from the purchase and the time limit to exchange was only up to 60 days. We got that letter AFTER the 60 day limit expired. We were only allowed an in-store exchange, but we live so far from the closest store that would take over 12 hours to get there and it's located in another province. Right now, because of Covid regulations, they require us to quarantine for 14 days when we come back after crossing the border.
It's quite frustrating because we have no idea why they can't make any compromises and show some empathy. After all, we could be party to repeat sales later. But it looks like their priority is this one sale and not making any more trouble for themselves.
