Please be aware of this companys underhand ways. I was visited in dec 2015 and offered this amazing one off deal to reduce the contract from 3 years to 2 years at £96 p/m.
I decided there would be little to lose in giving this ago
I signed my name after being told I was signing to agree the reduced 2 year contract
A white copy was left with me and we proceeded
In dec 2017 we decided this was not something we really needed and therefore I emailed stating I wished to cancel with 3 months notice
The reply came that I could not as my contract! Stated that I had to give notice something like 41 days before the end of 2 years or was autamatically enrooled for 2 more years
I asked them to prove a contract stating this had been left - they couldnt
But said one was also emailed - I asked them to show me the read receipt for this - again they couldnt
I was sent and have an email stating a clossure final bill of £488 would be sent. Though unhappy with the amount at least I would be free of them
While waiting for the bill to arrive I received an email from james fletcher at phmg stating I need to send them around £2k
I queried this and showed him the email I had received stating the £488
He decided this was an error
And that was it!
After emails going back and fro I requested the return of the eqipment that the salesman had taken to be told it was my fault as I had asked him to take it? I told mr fletcher he should get a job at jackanory for all the storries he told. He asked me to prove I hadnt requested it taken - I asked him to prove I had - no reply (shock)
My aim is to get the equipment back then get them to record a message stating how people should be wary of phmg and there tactics
I assume they have to produce my message or they are in breach
Also (this is the best bit) I asked why the did this 40+ days auto renewel with no point of contact before, they said this was to allow continuity with no down time - I did point our that it wasnt a life suppport machine and that a week without a hold message would not be the end of the world
What I don't understand is if they were doing so well why would they need to do this? Please spread the word
We are experiencing big issues with cancelling our PH Media Group contract aka PHMG. Has anyone who was misled, as we were, re the roll-on contract, taken it all the way and been taken to court?
having the same problem
supposedly sending me to lawyers soon ….
We have been in exactly the position, if you are a small company under 10 people in the UK there should be no minimum term rollover for any contracts relating to telecommunications, they get out of this by calling themselves marketing. We paid in the end, then they had the cheek to send us further invoices saying we owed them even more!
I notice they won't won't give themselves a Google location reviews account, but they have just set up a new Trust Pilot system which I recommend people to review them on. Thanks
Did they play the messageyou were going to request.
This is the worst customer service company I have ever experienced. Our company did not need services of PHMG. The contract auto renewed, we explained that we did not want to renew the agreement, they ultimately said too bad. They then gave us a rate increase after we sent documentation stating we do not want to renew when the agreement comes to term.
My company has is also going through this nightmare with PHMG. We started with them in 2017. I have no recollection of even being presented with the contract they refer to. I tried to cancel in 2020 and they said I had missed the 41 day window. I agreed to continue at a lower rate, but don't think anything was signed. Last month my credit card information changed. They emailed me for new information. I said no. The won't take no for an answer. Again they say I have missed the window to cancel. They say they now want $4,179.92 USD. I have service business. I earn my customer business every day. If they don't want to do business with me, that's their decision.
There are many similar complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. Most of them are related to this inability to accept any cancellations. If any other businesses want to start some kind of class action suit, i would consider chipping in for the lawyers. Jim Callan
