Pima Medical Institute review: MA program switching to credits Vs Hours in Chula Vista, CA

All the Veterans were called into the computer lab on Friday last week to be informed that the BOE has informed the school that they need to switch from Hours to credits. This destroys any housing allowance that has been allocated to us veterans. We counted on this full BAH of 3800.00 dollars a month to assist in living and allow us to concentrate on school. This is not a handout to us either, we have served for this and it is a right given, when you meet the requirements. This why every Veteran asks "is this program covered to meet the FULL entitlements under POST 911 GI Bill". We were told yes. Then as mentioned before on Friday of last week we were told we would be losing it. Now I would like to know why was this not disclosed earlier when we signed up that this may happen. The BOE had to have sent a notice earlier in the year or even last year annotating this is a possibility. The fact that this was not disclosed makes this School at fault and I will be seeking a class action lawsuit if it is found this school had prior knowledge of this. I think all veterans enrolled in a program that is going to affect their schooling and living situation should be refunded completely. I will be reaching out to all veterans that this affects.
