On February 7th, 2010, I purchased items totaling with shipping $123.67 from Bradley Owens through his website www.planet-caravan.com. I received a confirmation email that my order was received that same day. My credit card was charged. Subsequently I have heard nothing since from the proprietor.
I have sent several emails inquiring the status of my order. I have received no response to these.
I have also called the phone number numerous times. The voice mail message always says the mailbox is full.
I also filled out the “Contact Us” form on the website with no response.
In an effort to try to contact Bradley Owens/Planet Caravan, I did a search on Google. I encountered many complaints regarding the business practices of this proprietor. I am now filling a complaint with authorities in Georgia.
Yes, I received ONE email from Planet Caravan almost SIX weeks after placing my order. Only after, I contacted the Gwinnett County District Attorney and Sheriff about the fraud. Bradley asked if I wanted him to send the products, because all of a sudden-surprise!: he has them in stock. I have responded to the email and asked for my product, because I plan to uphold my end of the buyer/seller contract. I gave him five business days to have it in my hands or a full refund. If not, I will continue with fraud charges with the Gwinnett County Police.
Update:
Last week I returned home from a short trip to find the items I ordered from Planet Caravan on my doorstep (2 months after i ordered them). The watch did not work and cost another $10 to replace the battery. Mr. Owens only contacted me regarding my order when I contacted the authorities to file a fraud claim. I am 100% certain that if I had not done so, I would still be without my order. While I am happy to have my items, I still believe this is a habitual business practice on his part and needs to be investigated. DO NOT order from this website.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
