Power Equipment Direct I purchased a CH 60-gallon compressor from Air Compressors Direct

I purchased a CH 60-gallon compressor from Air Compressors Direct. After a 2-week wait, it was delivered to my home garage by their shipper R&L, who removed it from the pallet because it would not clear the opening into my garage. When I tried to install the air filter, I discovered that the compressor had been damaged but was not noticeable at the time of delivery. The cylinder was damaged and the hole for the filter was out of round preventing the filter from screwing in. I contacted Air Compressors Direct and "Josh" said that I would have to get a pallet, lift the 400lb unit and secure it it, or they would not arrange to exchange it. The manufacturer stepped in and sent out a replacement cylinder head which was a much more sensible solution. Once the compressor was connected to power, I then discover a defect: the pressure switch pipe was cross-threaded into the tank, causing a major air leak. I contacted Air Compressors Direct again and told them that I wanted to return this unit and either upgrade to a better product or get a refund. Again, Josh said they would oblige only if I put the unit on a pallet. I did not cause either of these issues. I am unable to lift a top-heavy 400-lb compressor onto a pallet which I no longer have. And Air Compressors Direct refuses to help resolve this situation unless the unit is on a pallet. I have asked them to send for a pick-up that would include palleting this heavy compressor but they refuse. So I am stuck with a "brand new" compressor that I have been forced to make 2 repairs on before I even use it.

Power Equipment Direct Untrustworthy company

Untrustworthy company. Don't believe the hype about the man who founded this company because he could not find a piece of equipment. It does not reflect the values of a good company. The people working here maybe be nice but the company policies are out to get you. First they sold me a wrong type of cable. I told the agent who "helped" me what I wanted and yet they sent me a 30AMP connector cable instead of a 50AMP. OK, I say mistakes happen but the I tried calling them. No luck at all. I called 6 times on six different days and was kept holding for over 76 minutes and then I hung up as I had to attend to other business. Then I sent them two e-mails telling them in detail what had happened and that I WANTED TO RETURN THE ITEM. They replied after a few days BUT did not give me instructions or Return Authorization Number. THEIR RETURN POCY STATES THAT ITEMS MUST BE DELIVERED T THEM WITH 30 DAYS. So now I am getting panicky as they do not send me the RMA# and 30 days are getting near. I called again and same story ... kept holding for hours. no one answers... I send them 2 more e-mails... Then I get reply on July 13th that the items NEEDS TO GET TO THEM BY JULY 18TH if I wish a full refund. Can you believe that? I live in California and they know that as it states on the order and it takes UPS 7 business days to deliver by ground and under these COVID restrictions it could take them 10 business days. These people at Power Equipment Direct and Generator Direct are real scam artists. Now it is going to cost me over $75 to return the $156.00 item back to these scam artists. Totally bogus company.

Power Equipment Direct I purchased an LG Ductless Minisplit System from E-Comfort in 2019

I purchased an LG Ductless Minisplit System from E-Comfort in 2019. This is PED's other company. The unit never work correctly at the beginning even after many tests with LG. Finally after purchasing wall wired thermostats and having those installed the system worked but the condenser was not operating well - it was screeching and making loud vibrational noises throughout the home. In order to file a warranty claim for LG you have to go through E-Comfort. The first round I had learned that the Warranty Specialist - Mike Newren had lied to LG about my claim and provided untrue information to them. I have been trying to figure out what the cause of the condenser issue and fine tune my entire system. I had two HVAC companies come out and they both said my system was installed correctly. I was getting nowhere with the condenser issue because my techs were waiting on hold with LG for hours and I was getting charged for it. Finally, I reached out E-Comfort again and explained all of this. First they trieds to tell me to do more testing and I said well that is the problem - nobody can get throught to LG and I have already gone through this process.They then put a sales lead - Bob Becker in touch with me. He said he was going to send a qualified LG tech out to my home to evaluate my system. When I asked who it was, I told him that that company had already been out here but had told me they weren't familiar with my system and never came back. A few days later Bob Becker from E-Comfort made up a story (LIED) and said that his assistant called that company and that they told him that my system is not installed correctly. I called and spoke to the head of that company and their warranty service head and they both said that that never happened. They have no record about my system because an evaluation was never done and they never told anybody those words. I have called Bob Becker out on his lie and sent a long letter to him cc'ing their customer service rep. I also asked Bob what happened to the tech he told me he was going to send out. This company is unprofessional and unethical to have these kind of people working with their clients and lying to them instead of providing help.

Power Equipment Direct acwholesalers order number: ACW3096052, 24 BTU cooling & heating system, delivery issues

acwholesalers order number: ACW3096052 on Monday February 7th 2022 included a 24 BTU cooling & heating system. The order was delivered after confirming the address over the phone. There was an issue with the zip code not matching the address. Despite selecting expedited shipping for both orders, there was confusion at the company. When I inquired about the whereabouts of order ACW3096052, I was informed it had been at a facility since February 9th, 2022. Communication with ACW was unclear, and I was told they had not received emails from the shipping company. After speaking with R&L Shipping, it was evident they had attempted to reach out to ACW. ACW later claimed they experienced delays in receiving emails. They then requested additional payment to cover costs due to the shipping error. I refused to pay extra as the mistake was not mine. On February 21st, I was still facing issues with ACW's communication and was unable to cancel the order. They requested an additional $558 for storage and redelivery to the correct address, which I declined to pay.

Power Equipment Direct I received a damaged AC unit in spring of 2021

I received a damaged AC unit in spring of 2021. I called promptly while under warrenty and opted to repair the unit with replacement parts. They agreed to send replacement parts but I never received them. I am patient with them and each time I call to check the status they promise me that they will send the part as soon as it becomes available. After almost a year I'm informed that the part will not be shipped. They offer to let me return my order instead. I would later be informed by a representative that the manufacturer was not to blame and that they failed to realize the part had been updated with a new design and that they could've sent this new part long ago! They apologized and asked me if I would still like to return the order or if I would like to have the new part sent. I chose to return the order because there is one year less on the warranty. I promtly followed the instructions I received through email, which included sending pictures of my order tied down to shipping pallets and ready to ship, and I waited for them to set a pickup date. After not hearing from them, I call again and repeated the process, following their instructions, and was told that everything was done correctly. They said the photos were received in the email I sent, and they would schedule a pickup and contact me. After waiting patiently again to receive an email with the pickup date, I don't hear back from them so I decide to call them again. They are now claiming that I never sent the email with attached pictures and that, due to the timeframe, they can no longer accept the return! So I called again and sent them a screenshot of one of the emails with attached pictures to prove that I did send the email. They are still unwilling to honor our agreement because of a delay that they created! I have shown them nothing but kindness, understanding, and patience. They have taken over $3K and hours of my time. This is the second summer I will be suffering without AC. Please help me!

Power Equipment Direct On 4/13/22 I made an online purchase of a Husqvarna ( 54") triple bagger for our riding mower

On 4/13/22 I made an online purchase of a Husqvarna ( 54") triple bagger for our riding mower. The price of the bagger was $479.99, with tax the total was $513.59. This item came with free shipping; this was not a special offer; the company promotes free shipping for their items. On their website; the description for the item states, " Fits Any Husqvarna Tractor w/54" Clearcut Fabricated Deck). On 4/24/22, shortly after receiving our item, we opened the package and read the insert, which stated, " Fits any 54 " mower". Unfortunately, this product did not fit our Husqvarna 54 inch mower. We contacted Husqvarna to confirm and they provided us the correct item for our mower. We went through a lengthy process with back and forth emails to Mower's Direct requesting a return/refund. We had to send pictures of the item, then a picture of the item packaged; had to purshase a pallet to put the box on and send a picture back confirming its ready for pick up. We wanted to get this all completed before their May 5th deadline. When we were not getting an email response, my husband and I both called customer service to finalize return. We finally received a response and the item was picked up. We were under the impression due to their return policy that we would be charged a 25% restocking fee; however, Mowers Direct did not charge us a restocking fee since it was returned undamaged before 30 days. Instead, they charged us a $311. 78 shipping fee; therefore, minimizing our refund to $179.99. Mower's Direct falsley advertised this product on their website. Furthermore, they attracted customers with their free shipping; only to charge them the shipping costs when the item has to be returned. While I did receive an email with the cost breakdown, we received numerous emails from them during the return process and initially believed the deduction was for the restocking fee. When doing the math, customers would be more inclined to pay the restocking fee than the atrocious shipping fee
