Bought used car at Wayne Akers. After afew weeks, I started looking over my finance only to see I have an extended warranty in the sum of $2178 and another $999. They’re both for 7 years plus $699 for lojack, which I wasn’t asked. Since I’m elderly, 7 years is ridiculous but I soon found out the dealership was bought by the same company that sells the warranties. I called the cancellation number, received a form and faxed it back with the warranties. A week later received email asking for odometer. A week later still haven’t heard, sent them an email asking how it was coming. That opened a can of worms. The person sent me four pages to fill out, one that needed notarized. Got it done and emailed it all back same day. Then the emails started: put it an another form. Try to do better. Can’t open. Do better. This went on for 4 days where I kept making pdfs, and every other form. Must have sent over 50 different forms, finally realizing this has to be a joke. Told the sender to send me a fax # and you’ll get the pages the way you want them. Another email, try harder.
I have every email they’ve sent to back this up. Refused to give fax or address. Wonder why. They’re using a secret email and the person who’s sending is fictitious. This is a scam and they probably laughed themselves to death. But Protectve Asset was the warranty under Atlantic Coast warranty and someone owes me this money.
Desired outcome: Want my refund which should have been forwarded to lender.
