Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com making fraudulent promises

I have received at least two letters a week for the past year with promises of millions of dollars if you buy one of the hundreds of cheaply made over priced products. Each letter I receive has a different date for when this prise will be awarded and there are multiple prizes. I have only seen one prize a year given away and they do that on National Television. They also offer cars, Tv's other cash amounts and they are always saying this or that will be given away in, of course the area you are living in. This goes on year around. The majority of people targeted are like me {I believe} on a limited income.Tis has happened over and over again.

I Must totally agree with this,
All Publishers Clearing House is about is Fraudulant Activity. You Play their games and slots, Then you are FORCED to watch their damn commercials.(THE SAME ONES, OVER AND OVER) just to get to the next item.
PCH makes their money by commercials...If I am not mistaken did not the FBI just bust an internet scam ring, for rerouteing people to their commercials?...sounds like they need to do the same thing with PCH!

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com received a fraudulent phone call

I received many calls this week telling me that I was the winner of $3.5 million dollars cash. Then I was instructed to go to the nearest Western Union to pay a FedEx fee of $199. +/-

I told the caller I'm very disabledand I have no money. I have nowhere to get the money, and I don't beleive this call is from Publishers clearing house. If it was, You would not be asking me to pay for the delivery of $3.5 million.

I agree with this whole heartedly; I was on my face-book page when the women who comes to the house with the big check IM'd me and asked if I knew why she was IM"ing me. Playing dumb I said no. I went into my Microsoft Word opened up a new document and copy pasted every thing she said. Than she asked me for my phone number and when the phone rang it was supposed to be the grey haired Representative who then instructed me to go to Wal*Mart and buy a $100, 00 Green Dot Card. They would then come to my house, verify the Green Dot Card and present me with now get this one "The Largest PCH Jackpot in History. $10, 000, 000.00. I tried to set up a sting operation with the Green Acres Police but they told me they couldn't do it because it would be entrapment. I was going to buy the card for $4.95 with no money value just to nail these ###. Great Police Department. I had the Dumb ### so sure that
I was doing it, I had the guy on my cell phone talking to me as I was heading to the Wal*Mart. I do hope someone straps on a pair of Balls and catches these S, O, B's. before they rip off more innocent people. Personally I'd like to see them caught and led into a town square and horse whipped every day by each person they scammed or attempted to scam and then led into a cell for Public Viewing. Have big signs over their cells that reads, "I'm the ### that likes to Scam and Rip Off Innocent People. Just a little good old fashion American Justice. ONE OTHER NOTE: GOD BLESS AMERICA and if anyone doesn't like that Get out of America.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com contest/giving out phone number

Entered contest 3 times and could never get past Step 2. Contest says no buying/purchasing necessary but at one point you can't go any further without having to check something for a free trial offer but s/h has to be paid. This is not free... Now I have about 10 phone calls a day saying I had expressed interest in certain services - which I only checked to get through the contest to enter. PCH - every product you advertise will not be purchased by me. Also, I am referring all callers to [protected] - PCH's 800 toll free number. It can explain to all the unfortunate people calling me why they are wasting their valuable time.

It's your own fault if you got scammed by these people. Publisher's Clearing House clearly states that they do not email the winners. Any person who becomes a victim of this scam should removal all their files from their computer, have all added downloads uninstalled and sell their computers. If you're that naive that you to buy into this garbage, you need to find another Less dangerous hobby.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com unable to submit entry

I have been trying to submit my entry and all I get is this junk to order. I thought you did not have to order, but when I pick continue and then at the end when it asks am I sure I click submit and it takes me to some other web site. Yet I keep getting emails that if I don't validate my entry soon I lose my chance to win $5000 per year for life. This is not fair when you advertise on tv to go on the website to enter and then make it so difficult. I DO NOT WANT TO ORDER AND I DON"T INTEND TOO. I plan to also notify my local better business bureau that you are not living up to what you advertise.

It seams this company does a lot of things. I am being billed for a Bark off I never ordered this and never recieved it but they seam to think I am going to pay for some thing I never ordered. So goes to show they can not be trusted. Also why would anyone buy this when it doesn't work also you can buy it at Walgreens, CVS.BiLo, Kmart, Walmart. for 9.99 no shippng plus easy to return because it doesn't work they say not even on a puppy. Why would you. Got me beat . To the person above at least you got something I did not get anything. But they thing I am going to pay it. Not to smart are they. I don't have anything to return. If I did they would of gotten that back. It doesn't work .Here our Tv station did a report on this Barf off and they found it to be a ripoff. One man said it didn't work on his 10wk old puppy. So it is junk. They are trying to sell junk.

I have also received items from Publisher's Clearing House that I did not order. They offer over-priced
junk and since I did not order anything, I will not pay or return ... gave to charity. This is a scam for a failing company to try and sell their magazines and products. When anything is received that you did not order, it is yours to keep, unless the company pays the return postage.!

I never ordered anything yet they sent me something. I tried calling their 800 number but they were closed for the day. I hope they dont send me anything more or else i will contact lawyers. this is fraud. they will require me to ship the item back to them at my expense! Good thing I havent paid it yet by credit card or check. we will see.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com online entry

After going 2/3rds the way through the surveys to enter into the pch sweepstakes, giving my private information out to several marketing hounding company’s… I was brought to a series of free car insurance quote pages that left me with only one option to continue: to buy insurance that I didn’t want … I didn’t buy it of course. All of this and i'm still not entered for the drawing… what a rip-off! Publisher clearing house use to be creditable but now, appears to be a big online scam.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com not furnishing information in order to win

I have been filling out all of the numerous mailing information PCH sent me including little rub-off instant prize winners. It states if you match you will win $50.00. I had matched at least 3 of them (received in different envelopes). Nothing. Drawing were to be in may, 2011 and June 2011. I have received absolutely nothing but more envelopes asking for me to send back immediately. Today, I received more mail from PCH stating that the prize was to be awarded (different prize) very soon. Please return ASAP and include Mail Carrier Envelope. Quess what, no envelope. Yesterday, I got mailings from PCH stating call this number immediately. Another quess what: number is not in service.

I believe that the Federal Government stopped them from promising winners but this is just as bad. I am going to better business and if need be the Federal Post Office with my complaint. I kept all the mailing and made copies of all the "supposeably winning scratch off". I am tired of this scam and they should be a stop to it NOW>

Via snail mails from PCH, if you match all scratch off tickets, etc, the deceptive instructions on the game cards will have you believe you won should you promptly "return the winning card by the deadline" However, if you read the rules booklet that they enclose in each mailing, you will discover that the winning card you have completed only wins you the right into a drawing. The online games are also a scam for persons that do not read the terms & conditions and/or sweepstakes information. All of the games are rigged to have you almost win...done deliberately to make you keep coming back. However, if you were to make all matches on, say, pch lotto, you really have not won anything but the right to be entered into a drawing. The pch lotto, bingo, etc, has a drawing only once per year so these priks will have you coming online everyday to play games that you THINK has instant wins and really you play for all year. So what do they have to gain by doing this online? Each and every time someone logs in to their site their online ratings go up and their site increases in value. PCH is a total waste of time if you believe you can win the online games...hell even the tokens when redeemed do not actually be redeemed for anything but the chance to be entered into a drawing...Ever gotten a snail mail containing the message, "someone with your initials in your area is going to win"? everyone of your neighbors got the same mail only each mail has the initials of the addressee...another scam by PCH. As for their products that they sell: PCH is a big affiliate marketer making money via helping companies push their products. You can get the same products alot cheaper simply via buying them elsewhere or direct from the source. Also the majority of products PCH sells are cheap china products that can be bought in any Dollar Tree store for a buck.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com Deceptive Practices

I am just appalled by the Better Business Bureau of New York's response to my complaint. They decided not to investigate any further because they think I do not want to seek resolution but I did ask for a refund because I feel cheated by PCH. I got an envelope last month and there was a tic tac toe entry where you match either the X or O to win $300 which I did match 3 X's and signed my name on the back. I have not seen the money yet. I made copies of the other mail that I received from PCH for proof. I also got 2nd mailing which was for $500 a week for life and they had an 800 number on the envelope for me to call before I opened the mail. I called that number but there was a recording saying that this sweepskates had expired. I sent an email to the PCH Consumer Affairs Department and they said this sweepskates are still ongoing but I have to hear the entire message. However, the recording is still brief. Please be warned of any mailings or online games from PCH. I do not like to see people getting hurt from deceptive practices. PCH needs to be shut down period. I have copies of the entries and letters just in case if someone wants to investigate this issue.

I signed the back the same as this person did and sent it in and have not recieved anything at all from them. I can't believe I even sent in a thank you note with the ticket. Don't I feel stupid?!

I am being ripped off by Publisher Clearing House. I am being charged for one item I never received and for one item that was never ordered but returned through USPS when I found it in my mailbox; now they have put it out for collection! I will be taking this to my state's attorney general's office! Beware! These people are scam artists!

To Those In Charge of the PCH free online games, You posted a notice telling that you were going to add new games and improve the all-around playing. Unfortunately for those of us who play the games, you did the opposite. You took away many of the good games and replaced them with a few games that are Less interesting and they give little to no points. Why? Again I ask Why did you take away all of the better games and changed the entire way a person could play. Well I just want you to know that I am very disappointed.

PCH says you do not have to order anything, went through the questions and said skip when they asked if I wanted accept any of their offers, got to eversave and still continued to say no, the website said that there was an error and then directed me to another window for eversave and there was no way to skip this, pch is a scam and someone needs to call them on this. They tell you that a purchase will not help you win, yet they expect you to participate even though you just want to win the money. Thats how this company gets your money. What a joke.

Absolutely agree gogonow. It is a scam. I posted my complaint which was basically about the same thing - having to visit all these partner sites and basically sign up for something. I did (requests for information so nothing I had to pay for), and thought my entry was complete. Get an email today saying I still am not registered, click to enter, and it takes me to a site for obtaining senior care information. No way to opt out of the site. No way to move off the site. So I completed the information but in the section asking about your specific needs I told them I had none! Didn't need their services but that PCH was "making" me complete this to enter and to NOT contact me. I'm sure they will anyway. PCH IS A SCAM.

PCH preys on many people! Stopping them and all the other organizations who they collaborate with is going to be a monumental effort! We are going to get our parents declared mentally incompetent, place them in a facility, and cut all communications from PCH and their buddies. PCH is taking very large sums of money from old people every day. 10 checks going to them for $600 or more dollars a day is typical! I thought that the US Consumer Protection Agency fined PCH for this practice and false and misleading advertising about prize winning many years ago. They have been running their basic scam for at least 40 years. Automatic charging of credit cards monthly, constant scams for more chances to win when people buy a product and the other bogus mail offers to win will stop! We forwarded the mail to monitor what PCH is doing and cancelled the credit card. But PCH already found the new Credit Card number and is auto charging it. PCH is a crooked, corrupt and an unconscionable organization. I hope Ed McMahon is rotting in hell! Just another reason his hometown Detroit went bankrupt! PCH has bad ethics!
