Quality Inn Affordable Luxury: A Review of a Hotel with Impeccable Cleanliness and Friendly Staff

This hotel is a real bang for your buck. You get a lot of bang for your buck, if you know what I mean. The rooms are super clean, like you could eat off the floor clean. And the staff, oh man, they're so friendly and personable. They make you feel like you're part of the family. I mean, who doesn't want to feel like they're part of the family, am I right? Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good deal and a great experience.

Quality Inn Disappointing Stay at Quality Inn: Rude Staff, Mediocre Room, and Bad Breakfast

I stayed at Quality Inn and it was a pretty bad experience. The lady at the front desk was really mean to me. I just wanted to check my Choice Rewards account, but she told me that I couldn't get any points because of my payment method. I was really upset about it, but I called Choice and they helped me out. I'm a Diamond member and I've stayed at Quality Inn 90 times this year, so I know what I'm talking about.

The room itself was okay, but nothing special. The bed was pretty comfortable, but the pillows were really flat. The bathroom was clean, but the towels were really scratchy. I didn't really like the decor either - it was kind of outdated and boring.

The breakfast was pretty bad too. They had some cereal and toast, but nothing really good. The coffee was really weak and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. I ended up going to a nearby diner instead.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying at Quality Inn. The staff was rude, the room was just okay, and the breakfast was bad. There are probably better options in the area.

Quality Inn Terrible Service and Smoky Rooms: My Experience at Quality Inn in Maryville, TN

I recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Maryville, TN and I gotta say, it was a pretty bad experience. The service was just terrible, and I don't think I've ever stayed at a worse hotel. First of all, they don't even tell you that they're a "smoking friendly" hotel, which is just ridiculous. And to make matters worse, they have non-smoking rooms on the smoking floor! Can you believe it? The whole floor just reeked of smoke, even the rooms that were supposed to be non-smoking. It was just awful.

I mean, I don't know what they were thinking. Who wants to stay in a room that smells like smoke? And why would they put non-smoking rooms on the smoking floor? It just doesn't make any sense. And the worst part is, when I complained to the staff, they didn't even seem to care. They just shrugged it off like it was no big deal.

Overall, I would definitely not recommend staying at the Quality Inn in Maryville. The service is terrible, and the rooms are just not up to par. If you're looking for a decent hotel, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Trust me, you'll be much better off.

Quality Inn Avoid the Quality Inn on Brighton Rd - A Dirty and Uncomfortable Stay

This hotel ain't no good, let me tell ya. I booked it through Priceline and they said it was a 3 star, but I'd give it a big fat 0. It's the Quality Inn on Brighton Rd, and it's just plain dirty. The stairs, elevator, rooms, and front desk area all need a good scrubbing. And don't even get me started on the breakfast area - the ice machine and hot water don't even work. And forget about internet, it's a no-go here.

To make matters worse, the hotel is being painted and the smell was so strong in my room that I could hardly sleep. And when I tried to talk to the staff about my concerns at check-out, they didn't seem to care.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.

Quality Inn Disappointing Stay at Quality Inn: Unclean Room and Poor Customer Service

I stayed at Quality Inn and I gotta say, I was a bit disappointed. I mean, I found a hair on the wall of my bathtub and a used soap still there. It made me feel like they don't clean thoroughly, you know? And to top it off, in the morning housekeeping just barged in without even knocking! I was like, what the heck? And when I asked for an hour extension, the front desk only gave me 30 minutes. Like, seriously? I checked out before 11, but I'm still surprised that this establishment is so willing to alienate a customer over 30 minutes. I mean, this town has so many choices, you know? In the future, I'll definitely be seeking accommodations with an establishment that shows they value me as a customer by giving quality customer service.

Quality Inn Disappointing Stay: Poor Customer Service, Infrastructure, and Staff at 'Hotel' in Santa Fe

This hotel ain't all that great, to be honest. I had a lot of problems during my stay, and they can be summed up in three categories: the customer service from the mother company Choice Hotels, the infrastructure and noise, and the staff and service level.

Let's start with Choice Hotels. I had to change my reservation due to some important business reasons, and I gave them plenty of notice so they could resell one of the four nights I prepaid for. I even gave them the reasons why, but they didn't seem to care or give a damn. Their response was slow and useless, and it arrived after I had already checked out. What's the point of that? Here's what they said:

"Hello xx,

Thank you for taking time out of your day to contact us. I apologize for the late response since we are having high volume of emails as of the moment.

Upon checking, you are already checked out from the hotel. Should you need further assistance feel free to let us know.
Your business and loyalty means a lot to us. Stay safe and healthy!

Herz
Email Resolution Desk"

What a load of crap.

Now let's talk about the infrastructure and noise. This place is sold as a "Hotel" on Booking.com, but it's really a Motel. It's located on the noisiest street in Santa Fe (Cerrillos Rd), and the infrastructure is ancient. I specifically asked to be put in a quiet location away from the highway, and the receptionist put me in a room at the back of the hotel. Big mistake. The room faces a parking lot that's filled up at night by screaming drunk people leaving the nearby Lulu's nightclub Disco club from 9 am to 4 am in the morning. They park their noisy and smelly monster Pick up trucks V12, 6, 000CC with loud bass music and revving engines, and it's impossible to sleep. And good luck trying to contact the reception, because you have to phone them from outside to speak to someone.

Now let's talk about the room. It was in poor condition overall, with a television that never worked. There were items on the room carpet, and it was just not up to par.

Finally, let's talk about the staff. They were mostly unfriendly and disengaged. You feel bad even asking for anything. The woman (manager?) looked and behaved very detached, bored, annoyed, and apathetic. The man was a bit better and tried to be more helpful.

In summary, this place is a motel that's packaged as a hotel to squeeze more money from customers. Don't fall for it.

Quality Inn Unprofessional and Rude Front Desk Attendant at Quality Inn Ontario Oregon

I gotta say, my experience at Quality Inn Ontario Oregon was not a good one. My wife and I were looking for a place to stay for the night and we stumbled upon this hotel. The front desk attendant told us that the room was $65 while we were getting gas at the loves truck stop across the street. We were pretty happy with that price, so we decided to check it out. But when we got there, the front desk attendant told us that the price was actually $80. We were pretty confused because the hotel's website said it was $65 too. But the front desk attendant told my wife that they had nothing to do with the website.

I went in to speak with him after my wife had spoken with him and things got pretty heated. He started interrupting me and speaking over me, which was pretty frustrating. And then he told me that I couldn't stay there and threatened to call the police. I was pretty shocked by his behavior, to be honest. He even sneered at me as I walked out the door, telling me that I couldn't leave a bad review unless I stayed there.

I was pretty upset by the whole experience, to be honest. The front desk attendant was really rude and unprofessional. He even suggested that the price might have been affected by the fact that we had a 17-month-old baby with us, which was just ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it in my 40 years of traveling.

I really hope that someone from the company reads this review and investigates what happened. I think it would be a good idea to review the surveillance video and audio to see how the front desk attendant treated us. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that he was really vicious and had a malicious way of acting toward us.

Overall, I would not recommend staying at Quality Inn Ontario Oregon. The front desk attendant was a large white male with medium length brown thinning hair and a heavy build. He was really unprofessional and rude, and I think the company should take action to make sure that this kind of behavior doesn't happen again.

I am letting you know they are very in fair of a lot of things with housekeeping workers & matience worker. They then badly, they tell them they can work 5 days a week & less get 30 hours per week working there. They don't give them that at all. They only give them like 3 days a week, about say if this 25 hours a week for work days there. Also the manager...

Quality Inn I been to this hotel a lot and never had no problems

I been to this hotel a lot and never had no problems. I booked a room on 12/27 and when we got in the room it was dirty and not good. I went to the front desk and told them and they came and looked at it and gave us another room. But the 2nd room had no soap and no hot water in the vanity and it was also dirty. I asked for my money back but they said no. I called the big boss and they called the hotel but they only gave us 15% off which is not enough.

Quality Inn Me and my girl wanted to have a night off and booked a hotel room with a jet tub

Me and my girl wanted to have a night off and booked a hotel room with a jet tub. We searched for over an hour and found a good deal at Quality Inn and Suites. But when we checked in, the room smelled like smoke and the paint was chipped everywhere. We were disappointed to find out that there was no jet tub in the room. We went to the front desk and they told us to call *** as they do this all the time. After 40 minutes on the phone, they said the hotel won't refund us. We tried again but got the same outcome. We decided to wait until Monday to follow up and tried to chat with them, but it's been 3 days and no response. It's frustrating that companies don't stand behind their service when something goes wrong.

Quality Inn Hotel

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina on August 12 and 13, 2022. I booked the room for my two adult daughters (we were staying across the street in a B&B). When they arrived, they called and said they did not feel the hotel was safe. They said the door connecting the adjacent room was unlocked and would not lock properly, and someone was banging late into the night (they were on the first floor of this motel where the door faces a parking lot). They ended up leaving and booking a room at the Comfort Inn down the street. The next day we called Hotels.com and complained about the room. They called the Quality Inn and we were reimbursed (about $350 for the night of the 13th). They would not pay for the night of the 12th. Hotels.com was barely helpful, saying they would pay $100 toward the $350 expense. I feel that we should have been reimbursed in full for that first night. Quality Inn would not reimburse us for that night, nor would Hotels.com. I felt like the hotel was very expensive and did not provide minimum sense of security there.

Desired outcome: I am seeking the remaining $250 for the first night. I think they have a responsibility to ensure the room was safe.

Booked 1 room, 2 nights through this Bookings.com at the Quality Inn at the subject address. My initial reaction to the lobby condition is that it smelled 'musty' and was very humid, like the air conditioning was not working properly. The first room I was given literally smelled like urine and mold, the carpet was ratty and torn with stains, the walls had...

Quality Inn not up to expectations, wanting refund. denied.

Did my research and "settled" for a hotel in the Redwood Falls MN area, due to the price (we actually paid $30 more than quoted on the website, but "it has a pool and breakfast") and the fact we stayed there in 2004 and it was really nice and clean...did not prepay. Worst mistake ever...actually staying the night at this "Drug Den" was miserable.

The hotel is under renovations. No where on the website did it state this. The only reason I knew this was that I'd driven past it about a month ago, and could tell renovations were taking place. The signage was bad. Just one tiny sign on the side of the building, even though there is a sizable markee on the land that is standing empty. There is a huge hand written "now hiring" sign on the building and it was bigger than the sign.

When I book a hotel, it's for the Hot Tub. I play the extra money so I can enjoy my stay. When we "checked in", my husband paid for the hotel, got the key for the room and we left for the whole afternoon, not getting back to the hotel until 8:30ish PM. The front desk clerk watched us walk in, never stating to us that "the elevator is out of order" (I need an elevator, I have a bad knee) nor did she tell us that the pool was under construction and that they have removed the Hot Tub. When I'd asked about the elevator, she said, "it's currently out of commission, but the stairs are right behind you" in a very rude tone of voice. I finally make it up the stairs and walk all the way down to the end of the hall to our room. I called the front desk dreading the worst, as I did not see a sign for the pool or smell any chlorine. I asked about the pool and she said, "sorry, but the pool is under construction". I got off the phone with the staff, looked at my hubby and he and I were fuming mad...I collected myself and went down to the front desk to speak to a manager to get our money back. I simply stated "the whole reason I booked here was for the pool and Hot Tub and you have neither. I would have never wasted $106 for a room here, I'd stayed elsewhere for roughly $10 more." She stated she was the assistant manager and she'd have to call the District Manager to "see what they could do" I politely said Thank You and call us back on the room phone...she called back approximately 5 minutes later (after I finally got back up those stairs again.) She stated, "because we hadn't said anything earlier, the best she could do is give us $10 off the room." Um, excuse me? We'd been there-physically there- for maybe a half hour and knew nothing about the pool and Hot Tub not being available. I tried to make the most of it, thinking oh well...maybe the "complimentary breakfast" will make up for this. Boy, was I wrong...

No where in our room was any information, like pool hours, TV channels or even what time breakfast was available. I didn't want to bother the front desk again, and hoped that breakfast would be open around 7. We go down to eat breakfast (me and those stairs again) and I look around. There is a half loaf of bread, 2 kinds of cereal and this "make your own waffle thing" and half a pitcher of milk. I thought, "well, I'll just have some toast and cereal then...that's what I eat at home." Noted that there was one fork. No spoons, no knives. I approach the non friendly front desk and it's unoccupied. I use the "complimentary phone" to call them as the sign says, and a young man answers as "front desk" and I'm thinking he must be invisible. I tell him I'm attempting to eat breakfast, but there are no spoons, no knives and 1 fork. He says, "oh, okay...I'll restock." He does, but only forks and spoons. They're out of knives...shocker? Not really. We eat a little, and in walks this gal that takes a short look around and she approaches the front desk which is now occupied by the "assistant manager" again. She states to her, "Um, okay, so I'll run out now and get more milk, juice, muffins and bagels." I was so dumbfounded...if breakfast is supposed to be available at 6am, why wasn't it? (The hours were posted on the wall) By this time, I am so mad that I got up from the table and didn't even look at them as I walked past to get to those same stupid stairs again. You could tell by my reddened face I was furious.

What I want now, is a full refund. My bill was $106.14. They did reimburse me $10, but the challenge to keep my anger in check and not sleeping that night is priceless. I don't have any photos of this place, due to not wanting any remembrance of this place on my phone. All my 400+ friends on Facebook knows how mad I was and to never stay there. Actually, if that place is still in business a couple of years from now, Thank Your druggies that stay there. It was so, so bad. Way too much money for a toilet, hard mattress and flat pillows. I also want to point out that there were "pubic hairs" in the desk drawers, dirty ledge on the bathtub (looked like renovation debris) and the oily head mark on the head board. (None of us had sat there-yet-so it wasn't us. Ew.)

Please, please, please. Do the right thing...refund me. That's it

Quality Inn customer safety

On the weekend of October 28th/29th I had a room reserved at the Kingman Az. Quality Inn and was shocked when I encountered a partially dismantled motorcycle, along with a small engine, disassembled air conditioning units, refrigerators, and lumber cluttered around the staircase leading to my room. There was wood on the upper level walkway, boarded up windows(with obvious occupation) on end of the building rooms, and trash on the stairs. When using the sink in my room the knob came off in my hand and the television remote did not control the volume and I was forced to get up each time and adjust it manually as every channel has its own volume level. As I will be traveling to this area quite frequently in the future I will need to reconsider my sleeping arrangements and say goodbye to this now former motel and use another provider.

Quality Inn dirty/unable to process a good credit card.

I am a choice member.. I made a reservation for Quality Inn in Wilkes Barre Pa. Your customer service rep gave us a room with a king bed.. He took my credit card info and did submit a confirmation to me via email.. The hotel clerk at the Quality Inn asked for my credit card.. She tried it twice and said it would not accept it..What happened she keyed in the wrong ecpiration date on my card. She asked for another card. said that one didn't work and then said no it's ok it worked.. She changed my room I got from the choice privilege customer service rep.. It turned out it was dirty with white stuff all over the floor.. the shower and the bath tub were so dirty we didn't even use if for fear. I called my bank and they said there was nothing wrong with my account or card. They saw where the person who keyed it in used the wrong expiration date on the card... The room was not the one we were promised and it was dirty and we could have ended up departing if we only had the one card which we usually only use..

Quality Inn hotel reservations

Hi, I just want to say that your company is very disrespectful and very unprofessional. My Mother booked two rooms at your Ledgewood, NJ location for my sons graduation. Due to my step-father having 4 strokes and a heart attack they were not able to attend. She called a week in advance to cancel the rooms and told that was not possible are you kidding me..how unprofessional is that and on top of that won't refund her money. Not only does she not work but now because of my step fathers medical condition he's not able to work either. How can a company be so heartless in a situation like that seriously. She also sent proof from that hospital to show she was being honest about he situation..I hope somebody can help accommodate my Mother and give her some piece of mind. I don't think it's fair and my mother should feel punished because her husband had strokes and a heart attack and on top of that she lost her money..and above all that missing her grandsons graduation. So again if someone could help me help her out right now would mean a lot. Sorry if I seem harsh..but really showing someone compassion dealing with all this..something should have been worked out for not having to email this kind of letter to begin with.

Quality Inn reservation

Had a reservation at the quality inn in Pensacola FL. on pine forest rd. stopped by hotel to see if we could check inn early but room wasn't ready and offered to pay for it worker said to just wait till we got in that night to take care of it. Also was told a late check in would be no problem. Noticed on my phone that i had a call from the hotel at 5:55 pm with no message called them at midnight and was told the card was declined so they went ahead and give our room to someone else. Girl told us they called twice and left messages which was not true and was told by lady on the first time we stopped by that our reservation was good until 7 am the next morning. Got offered a room for 200 dollars when our original reservation was for a 147 dollars. Supervisor was the one who cancelled our reservation on his own. Not a good way to deal with customers was going to pay cash all along and one person tells you one thing and other does something else. Have stayed at this hotel before and guess it is time to stay somewhere else in the future.

Quality Inn head of housekeeping

I was reserving a room for a second night since I just stayed the night before and was renewing it to stay again. The head of housekeeping started getting very loud and offensive telling the other employee that they cannot rent to us because we had been on the Do Not Rent list before for smoking one time. The manager and myself settled that by me paying a fee for it and I was told I could come back if I gave a $50 deposit everytime I stayed. The head of housekeeping was there when me and the manager settled this just one day earlier and witnessed her telling me all of this. But the following day, when the manager wasn't present any longer, that same lady tried to convince the present employee that we are still on the list and started going crazy and screaming and pulling managers out and all, which was fine because I wanted to talk to one anyway. By the end of it all, the GM gave me my deposit back and told me that they would love to have my business anytime I want to come stay and again, the manager I settled this with admitted that we were allowed to stay again. This head of housekeeping was very rude, loud, disrespectful, lying on customers and started acting very nasty when it didn't go her way and we got to stay and were taken off the list. She was not professional AT ALL and almost makes me never want to stay there again because of her lack of professionalism and horrible attitude. I would really like to see this housekeeping manager get some kind of lecture and warning so this doesn't happen to someone else. And proof that something was actually done would be very nice also. Thank You.

Quality Inn poor service

I was awoken from a deep sleep at 11:25 pm by night manager Michael Dailey insisting he had to know right then which airline I would be using the following afternoon so he could type up his shuttle request form. I had earlier requested a shuttle for 11:15 am. When I registered earlier i told the clerk that I did not then know which airline, and was told i could tell them in the morning, or just tell the driver, which seems reasonable. What does not seem reasonable is for a guest to be disturbed in this manner for information that is not needed for almost 12 hours. I am furious
and unable to return to sleep. One of the most important amenities a hotel can offer a guest is an undisturbed night's sleep and I have been denied that by Quality Inn

A point that was missed is that I was told previously by two managers that the driver would not need that information until he took me to the airport. I was also told the same thing when I spoke with the manager in the morning. He said the night manager was wrong in his actions, that he could have waited until morning, and that short of a fire, flood, or police action there is no reason to disturb guests from their sleep. "Quality service" does not mandate filling out a form that has 12 hours before needed.

Quality Inn charged for dirty room

The manager of the hotel says we left this room a mess, like the beds were left dirty. This really upsets me, we are very tidy people and leave rooms in great condition.I am scared to think this room was not clean prior to us staying.Shelly the manager, expressed that our "pets"messed up the room and left it dirty. For 1 we have a dog that is small and he never did anything to the room. This totally upset us and really feel this manager has a problem with the truth. We were charged more after we checked out, on our credit card. We have stayed in so many hotels all over the country and never have we ever had a complaint. This is a serious problem and we would like this matter looked into and resolved! Thank you, Kimberly Jensen

Quality Inn dirty bed

The bed had blood all over the sheets and the cover. When I complained I was not offered clean sheets. I was told to call the manager. When I did, he told me I should have complained and got new sheets. It was a catch 22. At any rate I spent $116 to not sleep in a filthy, bloody bed. They should not be able to be called Quality Inn with bed sheets and service like that!

Quality Inn charges

On March 30, 2012, I asked my travel agent to cancel my reservation for 1 night at the Quality Inn in Rome NY. I had to change my travel plans with short notice and had to stay in a Comfort Inn Newburgh, NY (which is always good). The manager from the Quality inn, Rome told the travel agent that there was a 24 hour cancellation notice clause and charged me for one night. As a Choice Privileges member I called him my self to try and reason with the manager who was rude to my travel agent when she spoke to the manager in Rome. I told him that I notified my travel agent on 3/30 to cancel for 4/2 and he said did not receive the notice. I asked him if I could at least cover it with Choice Privileges points. He said he had to call somebody and to call him back. After calling him back 3 times and receiving the same answer. I checked my Choice Privileges activity and saw that I was billed for $117 for the room and didn't stay there (since I stayed in Newburgh, NY).

I think something has to be done about the Management of this hotel. I have read on the Internet several complaints, actually many different ones covering various topics relating to conditions of this particular hotel, all coming down to the rude and unprofessional treatment the customers received by the same manager (actually his name is Peter). I stayed at this hotel for years in the 90's and early 2000's and apparently no upgrades have been made.
I would advise that not only something be done to eliminate the current management/ownership of the quality inn in Rome, NY but to have the board of health pay them a visit as well.

Choice Hotels is a good organization and this particular location is giving the organization a bad name.

Quality Inn dirty hotel

The non smoking handi capped room reeked of air freshener. There was blood or # on the tolit roll holder. The place was dirty. The refrigerator white grateing was chiped and pealing and needed replacing. The continal breakfast was wrotting fruit and expired yougart in dirty refrigerator as I looked. Overall I would not allow my dog to stay there. They also displayed the aaa aproval proudly on the check out desk where the abusive check out person was. They quoted me 69 over the phone and charaged 90 when I booked threw you. It as a horrible experiance and I expeced better from someone you approved with 2 stars... Well... It is not even worth 1...

I stayed at the comfort inn/ quality inn in Mesquite, Texas this last weekend of the first weekend of May.
I was told by the manger that I did not have to call to get a discount on the room or my pet staying for 2 nights, that he would charge me 15. dollars total for my dog and each night would cost me 58.99 dollars, instead he charged me 20. dollars for my pet and then charged me 69.99 dollars per night.
The indoor pool and sauna were not warm like they were suppose to have been. My grandchildren swam in a very cold pool and the sauna was suppose to be 120 % temp. Both the pool and suna were about 75% with temps outside in the 50's and the doors to the pool was open to the outside.
I will not go back again and advice anyone not to stay there.

Quality Inn dirty bedding

We checked in and went for dinner .After returning my husband took his shoer to get ready for bed.I then took my shower and may i say..not the most desirable bathroom. When I went back in the room to go to bed I took the bedspread off and saw a nice comforter.I saw something and looked closer finding dirty paw prints on the comforter.Well, I decided since we were not dressed and ready for bed I would tell the desk in the morning. So I turned the other bed down to find another dirty comforter. It had scibbles on it and no better.Neither had been washed or spot treated or they wouldnt have looked like they did.I do lots of laundry and can tell when something is dirty. Not a very good nights rest. When I checked out I told the guy at the desk and his comment was..thanks for telling me I'll tell housekeeping.I felt that was not suffecient.
Thanks, D Dale
