On October 8, I decided to hire Queen City Rod & Custom to fix my ****
On October 8, I decided to hire Queen City Rod & Custom to fix my ***. It took them a whopping 45 hours to work on my truck, but between then and May 23, 2022, I've been struggling to get it back. It's been a real hassle, you know? I even had to get a lawyer involved to send him a letter demanding the release of my truck. Can you believe it? He hasn't been doing anything to it! Finally, he returned my truck to me, but let me tell you, folks, I wouldn't recommend doing business with this guy. Just a friendly heads up, you know?
They had my sons truck which was gonna be a maybe 6 week job it was lie after lie excuse after excuse
They had my sons truck which was gonna be a maybe 6 week job it was lie after lie excuse after excuse. It was tore apart, had rain and snowed in it, was to have been ready for the car show last Nov, not done. He was hard to get ahold of as well. After 8 months we removed the truck from his place. Mind you a Lil over $10,000 later all he has is a tore apart truck. And the sanding my grandkids could have done. Steer away from this business, save your money, heartache and stress. And a one star is to high of a rating.
I took my car to Queen City Rod & Custom to have the hood painted
I took my car to Queen City Rod & Custom to have the hood painted. They said it would take three days and cost $350. After waiting for 5 weeks, all they had done was remove the hood and prime it. I told them to put it back together and that I would pick it up in an hour. When I got the car later, it had been scratched on the left side. I reported it to my insurance and they estimated the repair to be $10,000. So, what was supposed to be a $350 job ended up costing $10,000. The left side was fine before I told them I was picking up the car without paying any more, but suddenly there was a scratch that will cost $10,000 to fix.
I left my truck at Queen City Rod & Custom on 10/20 for a repair that was supposed to take 3 to 4 days
I left my truck at Queen City Rod & Custom on 10/20 for a repair that was supposed to take 3 to 4 days. Unfortunately, my truck just sat there untouched for the first 3 days. However, they wasted no time in cashing my check for the $800 deposit. They kept giving me excuses for multiple days and promised that it would be ready by 10 am the next day for 4 days in a row, but that never happened. Finally, on 11/4, I had to pick up my truck because I needed it for a family matter. To my surprise, ***, the owner, wrote on a separate invoice that he would redo the body work to make me happy. But before that, he insisted on running my card for an additional $900, essentially holding my truck hostage. I thought having it in writing would protect me, but that wasn't the case. I've spent the past week trying to reach him through texts, phone calls, and even leaving a note at his shop, but he's nowhere to be found. After doing some research, I discovered that he's being evicted from his shop, hasn't paid his employees, and has done the same thing to a reputable car dealer I know. I also came across similar negative reviews on Google. At this point, I've lost all trust and I'm done with *** and a few other businesses in Springfield. I strongly advise against supporting this establishment.
BUYER BEWARE, this place is a FRAUD!
BUYER BEWARE, this place is a FRAUD! Let me tell you about my experience with *** and Queen City. I had my 2013 VW Jetta dropped off in June, but on Friday the 29th of July, *** tells me he couldn't take it because something was messed up on the car. He couldn't explain what it was, but he said I needed to get it towed. So, I had RPM Towing tow the car to the mechanic shop. They found out that the car had probably hit a curb really hard or something hard and damaged a lot underneath. The CV axel was completely disabled from the impact. Keep in mind, *** drove the car to Queen City and had it for 3 weeks, and I had put a few hundred miles on it myself. There was no damage to the car before it was in Reed's hands. *** never explained why he didn't tell me he couldn't take it to VW. I made another appointment with VW, and they confirmed that it had indeed hit something concrete. They repaired a hose that had been ripped off too. When I finally got a good chance to look at the car, I could see that the paint job was absolutely amateurish. It had pits, runs, orange peel, and no shine at all. Even my kids with zero experience could do better on their first try without any guidance. I had to get it repainted and fixed. *** never gave me a receipt, even after I asked multiple times. The total cost for my 2013 VW Jetta was $3181.95. Now, let's talk about my 2015 Nissan Titan Truck. It was the same situation as the Jetta. He already had my truck when we had the issue with the VW. It was supposed to be a 2-week job, but it ended up taking almost 4 months. After many requests, he brought the truck back in a rainstorm and ran off. Once the weather cleared, you could tell from 50 feet away that it didn't match, not even close. And the paint quality was the worst I had ever seen, just like the Jetta. I took it back and demanded that he do it right a second time. I ended up with a total judgment of $3010.17.

Feb 1st I brought my car to Queen City Rod & Custom to get it sanded and painted
Feb 1st I brought my car to Queen City Rod & Custom to get it sanded and painted. The owner told me it would cost $2,800, including painting a second hood. However, it's now Oct 26th and my car still hasn't been painted. It has been sitting outside for months. When I asked the owner about it, he said it's almost finished, but it's still outside.
