Even though Ramada by Wyndham is an international hotel chain, the Ramada by Wyndham Plaza at Kahramanmaraş has a severe problem with its food and beverages service. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times before and today I was at the hotel for an event. After the event, I went down to the restaurant to have a drink. However, I have faced with two serious problems that I shouldn't be observing in an international hotel chain. First of the problems was that since it is Ramadan time, most of the food menu was unavailable at the time of my visit (12:30 PM, lunch time). They only had a tiny selection of food available. Then I decided not to eat anything but to have a coke. To my surprise, they are "boycotting" Coca Cola for some frivulous reason and thus don't carry Coca Cola products or Pepsi Cola products. I could live with a Pepsi if it came to that. However, they only have knock off local brands. In all seriousness, how does a franchise of an international hotels chain not carry an international brand? I could find Coca Cola even at my stay at North Korea! This "boycott" and lack of quality service is unacceptable. I am a national of this country and I know that you can find Coca Cola products at a supermarket in this city. It isn't that they don't have Coca Cola or Pepsi around. And also please don't get me wrong, I am not trying to fight my right of drinking coke, it is something much bigger. A franchise doing something of its own and hurting the brand value of Wyndham. Unless this problem is adressed, I will not be doing business with any of the Wyndham hotel chains.
Desired outcome: I would like an official apology via email and correction of the behavior of this franchise.
