Residential Solar review: Backup system

I contracted with Power Home Solar (PHS) of Mooresville, NC to have installed in my residence a backup power system. PHS would handle all permits needed by my county. I took out a 25 year mortgage for $48000.00 & was told by PHS that I would be able to sell any unused power generated by their system back to the local power company, Dominion Virginia Power.

The system was installed in April 2021. However, it has not been inspected by the county because the county requires an elevation certificate by a certified surveyor. I have tried to communicate with PHS about this but they refuse to communicate with me even after repeated calls. I sent a certified letter to PHS President Jayson Waller in January 2022 informing him of my attempts to finalize the system & have not heard back as of today. It has been 10 months since installation & 10 months of potential missed income due to failure of PHS to fulfill their agreement to provide permits. Now the building permit has expired, & will also need to be updated.
