July 2011
BEWARE of this company - I called them to place an order for a cordless phone - I had a conversation with the sales person, and told him I wanted a brand new good quality phone - he recommended an AT&T-EL52109 phone for $39.99.
When I received the phone, it was in a plain cardboard box - totally empty of any brand name, etc. It looked as if the phone was just thrown in there. When I called to inquire about this, the "Manager" told me that it was a refurbished phone - NOT brand new. When I told her about my conversation with the sales person who sold me the phone, she said it was 'between me & the sales person” and that there was nothing she could do about it - she would not pay for my shipping this item back. Plus, there were no apologies!
She still has not provided me with either a sales receipt nor any info on how to ship this back to them so I could get a refund.
The phone they sold me retails for $39.99 NEW - and they had the nerve of sending me a refurbished one, knowing that I specifically asked for a brand new phone, and on top of it, they charged me top dollar. THEN, they would not provide me with any info on how to send the product back to them for a refuend, and with an attitude at that!
Very Bad company = beware! It is my mission now to put them out of business...

Selling knockoffs instead of real products
I ordered a jabra bt3030 from them last week. i received it and once opening the package i realized the unit felt cheap. i later realized the unit was actually a knockoff! what a nice surprise...i called customer service and told them all of the differences between the genuine product and theirs. i made sure i was polite and even went as far as to tell them i don't blame them for anything because it's not the customer service departments fault. she (the "supervisor") decided to respond by getting VERY annoyed, cutting me off every time i tried to speak, and hanging up on me after i finally asked her why she was being so rude (and i was still not sounding angry at this point). now i'll probably get stuck paying for the shipping back to NY. i will try and call back tomorrow about the restocking fee (10%). had enough annoyances for one day at this point.
Hi,
I am facing a similar issue. Sold a used item that does not work after advertising it as new on their website. After I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they agreed to refund the money if I shipped the item back at my own expense. I did just that. They confirmed receipt and informed me, through the BBB, that the money will be refunded to my PayPal account latest by 1st July. I haven't received it yet.
Whenever I call the manager, a lady (I use the term loosely) called Beth Knight, I always get her voicemail. Even after leaving two messages, I haven't heard back from them. I believe they are waiting for me to give up.
The thing is, I won't. Even for a sum less than $50. It's a matter of principle. Let's join forces and run this fraudulent company out of business. You can reach me at sourya.biswas@gmail.com.
Absolutely one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with
Absolutely one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with. They are inept, unprofessional scam artists. We had to return an item twice because it was the wrong product. After waiting over two months for our item (which they kept lying about being shipped), we had enough and requested a total refund. Surprise, surprise... they slammed us with their processing fee for trying to get our money back. Seriously, don't even waste your time with these ###--they're out to take your money. Their prices are cheap, but they're cheap to lure customers in so they can ship them the wrong items and jerk them around to collect shipping/processing charges from them. NEVER AGAIN.
This is the worst company to do business with in the whole world. I ordered a Slim-Line Corded Phone. When I received the phone and hooked it up, I could not get a dial tone so I am going to return the phone. I contacted the company for a return label because one was not included with the order. I could hardly understand the person I was speaking with. I only wanted a return label so I could return this phone; however, whether I received a return label or not, I am going to have to pay all cost to return it. The operator told me he was sending a return label to my email address, of which I never received. So I am returning it to the address listed on the order form. What really got next to me was while I was waiting on the phone, they are trying to get me to take advantage of some other deals they have, a free $25 Visa Card, some type of vacation, etc. I explained to the person on the phone, I am not interested in receiving the Visa Card or vacation, all I want is the return label -- I never received it. I hope I receive a refund on my credit card, if not, I will have to contact my credit card company to let them know what happened. This is so frustrating.
I should have seen this website before I bought a phone system from them. At first I received a phone that DID NOT match the picture on their website and while in the process of trying to get an exchange they kept saying it was the product I requested. After going back and forth numerous I decided to chalk it up to experience and request a refund. Now I am paying for it not only with aggravation but with them attempting to charge processing fee when a) I never got the phone system I requested, b) the website contains misrepresentation which caused me to rely on it believing I was going to receive the product described. DO NOT do business with them - spread the word 101 phones should be avoided at all costs as you actually have no adequate recourse for reimbursement in the event something happens.
Do not order refurbished phones from 101phones.com! Their return policy does not allow refunds. I got an extra handset for my system and it doesn't work. They want me to pay to send it back so they can look at it and decide if they will send a replacement. Don't be fooled by buy SAFE. It only guarantees their shabby return policy, not satisfaction with the product.
Wish I had seen this before I ordered from them! Returned a phone in February and still cannot get credit from them. They want me to prove they received it and I have the receipt from the U.S. Postal Service indicating where and at what time it was delivered. I have made 5 phone calls and spoken to 2 additional supervisors and NONE of them are from the United States! They barely speak English. Totally incompetent. I am turning them in to the Better Business Bureau and notifying our Attorney General of their method of doing business. Everyone that has commented is correct DO NOT do business with them. Use SmithGear. They are a 5 star merchant, provide EXCELLENT service and sell American made products.

Sent me tattered box and part of the phone set was missing
They are a rip off. I ordered cordless phones that were to be new. When they arrived the box was tattered, torn and part of the phone set was missing, the cords were in knots and there was food on one handset. Yet they said I was wrong. The phones were new, They had just been checked to make sure they worked. When I found the return slip from the last owner with the reason for return they admitted they were used. But I had to really talk to be able to return them. They would not even change the price to the used phone price. So not only was I ripped off, I have to pat to return them and will not be reimbursed. So I get to pay to be ripped off. And I found out that another site I had a similar experience with in September is the same place. They just operate under 2 names but both are rip offs. The other site is factoryoutletstore.com. I would suggest you do not buy from them as you will be ripped off.

Uniden Phone System
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM! I purchased a Uniden Phone System with 3 additional handsets. They sent the wrong adapters for the handsets but told me they would send me the correct ones the following week. After 2 weeks passed I called inquiring about the adapters and they said they couldn't send me the correct ones that I would have to return the entire system at my cost. They are a rip-off and have a horrible customer service and DO NOT care if they sent you the wrong thingand will not correct any errors on their part. I had to pay for new adapters!

Bad service
Do not do business with 101 phones if you need items to come in a stated time frame, or if you order more than one item! If you order more than one item, you cannot trust that you will actually receive all of your items. They have no way of knowing when their warehouses send out only part of an order. They are totally incompetent.
If there is a problem (which is very likely), you have to spent 30 minutes on hold each time you call them, and the person you speak to will know nothing.

i bought jaw bone icon for 49.99 online in their web site, clearly shown it will be brand new however they have sent a used one with lots of scracthes and without box and in a plastick cover, i sent back to them and i got money back in couple days $41.99, so i lost my money finally $7, the call center guys are not good while speaking, simply they say wait some time or hold the call by someone, they will not come and talk to you, i waited one time 5 mins, this was happened to me almost 3 times, this is cheap technich, finallly i talked to them and they explained me a [censor] way because their policies are like that, they dont want to sell the items really but they want to charge like 7 dollars from us, surely the customer will return the item, that time they can charge 10% of the total money right, this is a latest technick is followed by lots of websites, atleast they can earn some money legally on the return policies
