Payment made - excuses, excuses, excuses
I have been dealing with Percy Glad (cell [protected]). I contacted him after finding his info on Google. I have a speedqueen washing machine and tumble drier that needed some attention. He phoned me with a quote of over R3000.00 which I rejected. He then said that he will quote me without labour to bring the cost down. Eventually I paid R2500.00. We were also told to not use the tumble drier for at least 6 hours. We still have the same problem and after contacting him numerous times over the past week, he has been around to "fix" it again, but the problem remains. The excuses are numerous, If it is not car problems, he is unable to get the parts. I now had to get the speedqueen technicians in and according to them, the parts have not been replaced as I was told by Percy. I have to pay again to have the items fixed. I am convinced that this is their standard operating procedure and I am not letting this go - I have given him the opportunity to refund me my money, and if this doesnt happen - I am opening a criminal case.
Fraudulent repair
My wife found a webpage for appliance repairs at http://www.easyinfo.co.za/htm/custom/appliancerepairs/index.htm, giving contact details as Percy Glad telephone [protected]. He looked at and quoted R2700.00 for a repair to a speed queen washing machine, came back and appeared to repair the machine. He said that it should not be used for a while, told her he needed urgent payment and said he would email an invoice and guarantee, which we never received, despite having stupidly paid him. He is very plausible and convincing and has the appearance of being likeable and trustworthy.
When we used the machine again we discovered that not only had he not repaired it but it now leaked. Then the run-around began, with him promising on numerous occasions to arrive, only to make every excuse under the sun for not being able to make his appointments, and he failed to answer any calls. We have since discovered another website under the name of Appliance Repairs Gauteng & Pretoria at http://appliance-repairs.co.za/index.php giving the same telephone number but the name of Johan.
Their are numerous complaints on hello peter dot com about these "service providers" and he or they seem to follow the same modus operandi to swindle people who deal with them. We will now be forced to take legal action for recovery of the money and will lay charges of fraud and theft by false pretences against him. If there are other people who have been defrauded like this please join the site and send me a message to assist me to compile charges. Avoid them like the plague.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Fraudulant Conduct
Contacted Appliance Repairs. Percy Glad came out to 'repair' a washing machine. The machine appeared to work because we tested it after Percy left, BUT the machine was empty, and as soon as we put anything into the machine it would not work. Percy had been paid and we tried on numerous occasions to get in touch with Percy, to no avail. Once I checked on Hello Peter, I saw SO many other people who have been victims too.

I have reported Percy to ABSA Fraud Hotline. He is on a watch list with all banks. Will sooner or later be caught.
I agree he also came to fix our dishwasher tested it and it worked. But when we packed the dishwasher to wash everything the pump was making a huge noise and it leaks water. He said that he will come and fix it. Every time we phone he say that he will come or he does not even pick up the phone. it is now 3 weeks and he still did not come to fix our dishwasher.

i had a dish washer that broke down and after searching on the inter net found appliance repairs in alberton
i spoke to a person called percy on the cell number [protected] that was provided on the web page. He had the machine picked up by one of hie employees on 14/05/2011 and he took it to his workshop, to get repaired.
He phoned me with a quote to get it repaired for R950-00 witch i have paid into his absa bank account on the
19/05/2011. He said that the machine wil be deliverd before the easter weekend but up to date im stil waiting.
I phoned him allmost every day only to find his voice mail, and if he does answer his phone he is giving you another story every time. I spoke to him yesterday 19/05/2011 and he promised me again that the machine wil be deliverd yesterday, im stil waiting. This morning i phoned again and after about five phone calls and three hours later he answerd his phone. So i said to him if my dish washer is not deliverd today im going to lay criminal charges against him i just had enough of his BAD SERVICE
It seems to be two people now the one is Francois Swart His so called company is Appliance on site repair cell [protected] Situated in Galjoen street Fearie glen PTA. All of the above is Fraudulent now I see there is a Percy too.

Appliance Repairs Expert is a fraudulent company that ran away with my money without the washing machine being fixed. This guy Percy [protected] comes across very sincere and that's why allot of us tend to trust him. People be very careful...these are con artists!
They also rank on top on google http://www.appliance-expert.co.za/ that is how they get their business.
I am very disappointed. This is a lesson to never use a company without any address or land line number.

I had the same problem with Appliance Repair in July 2012.
They were supposed to fix a timer on a Speed Queen Washing machine, replaced with a second hand part.
NOT WORKING you cannot get hold of them.
