This company is a scam. Do not send your child to any chs apartment.
They are not safe, rules are not enforced and there is no one to help your child. My son was at uti sacramento. After five months of living hell he came home, defeated and sad.

The inspections that are done monthly are a joke. Alcohol was found in my son's unit. They were told to put it out of sight.

He as not given a parking pass for five months so that he could get onto the compound at school.

Students had over night guests, often. Two of the other boys in the apartment had females over that were "cousins"

The representatives and ras are not available. I know this because I sent to visit my son and dropped in the office everyday. No one was there.

Work orders will filled out three times before they were completed

if i had it to do over again I'd live in my car...
we were told expressly that there is no smoking in the domicile. from the moment i moved in, i could smell cigarette smoke in my apartment. further to discover that one of my roomies smokes in his bedroom, and guess what, there is nothing chs can do about it. hmmm. also there's the aspect of overages. how am i supposed to keep the bills under control when the smoker leaves his window open to let the smoke out then cranks up the heater or A/C to maintain a cozy living condition? furthermore I'm being forced to pay for a carpet cleaning for stains that i documented as existing when i moved in on my student move in sheet. i also have kept in contact with previous tenants to this apartment who are being billed for those very same stains. at forty bucks each, i I'magine they have rendered more than enough money from them to pay for the carpet cleaning themselves. lastly the smoking roommate refuses to contribute much in the way of help with any cleaning but has no problem making messes. this has led 5 prior tenants to move out on his accord. they are losing money on transfers from this 1 guy. as for those who don't like, monthly visits from them I'd recommend not renting from here. personally i have nothing to hide so i don't care that my status of living receives a monthly grade, but i refuse to play mommy for lazy slobs anymore! its almost worth the 800 plus dollars to breach my contract to go live in my tiny little hot car to escape this nasty little mess. i will probably transfer to a different apartment with almost utmost self assurance that the grass will not in fact be greener on the other side. IN THE EVENT YOU RECIEVE A UTILITY OVERAGE THEY WILL REMOVE THE PAYMENT FROM YOUR RENT PAYMENT AND YOU WILL INCURR LATE PAYMENT FEES AS A RESULT. THE PAYMENT FEES ARE 50 BUCKS EVERY WEEK FOR LATE FEES.

PLEASE save yourself the grief and do NOT use this company! I lived with CHS for a little over two years, A mistake I wish i could have taken back. Within the two years I lived with collegiate housing services, I was moved SIX times! They have the right to move you wherever, whenever. Sometimes I would be told i have to move with as little as two weeks notice. It made catching up with all of my mail difficult, and I and to constantly keep changing my adress on everything. Also, I happened to encounter roommates who would steal and do drugs, and nothing was done. It wasnt even until the police came into my apartment that my housing representative acknowledged that there had been illegal activies going on. Even then, her only solution was to move ME, not the offending roommates. There is absolutely NO customer service with this company to speak of. The people at corporate offices were always extremely rude and acted as if you were bothering them if you ever needed to call. The furniture they supply you with is crappy and worn, and the apartment complexes aren't very nice. PLEASE, get a studio apartment or rent a room on your own instead. Its cheaper than CHS too! Every single person I have met that used Collegiate housing agrees: Its HORRIBLE! If i can save even one person from wasting their money with this awful company, it will make me happy :)
