Drive With Pride down payment

I went to drive with pride to purchase a vehicle on june 19, 2017, I sign legal documents stating that I was approve so I put down $1, 500 dollars and given a receipt, plus gotten insurance on the vehicle as well, august 16, 2017 they came to my house and pick the vehicle up. So I contact drive with pride they claim I was never finance. So I went to drive with pride to get my belongings out the vehicle plus the contracts that I had in the glove compartment alone with a sign legal contract plus my receipt was in the folder showing I was approve plus to show how much I put down ($1, 500) but when I got there the next day angie from the back office had already went into the vehicle and remove only the contracts that was in the folder out the glove compartment and left all my other personal objects in the vehicle (truck, back seat & arm rest). So when I ask her for them she claims they destroyed the copy contract I sign alone with the original contact they had all in the same day, angie knew that was my only means of getting my money back cause was taking them to court. So I call the police on august 21, 2017 to come up there to see if they can help me retrieve my contracts from angie, angie tells the police I never sign a legal contract but only sign bailment form for 72hrs which is not true, I was in the car from june 19, 2017 - august 16, 2017, that's way longer than 72hrs, so I just need to take them to court to get my money back, I may not have the contracts but I do have my bank statement showing I took out the $1500 plus car insurance that was purchase all on june 19, 2017 alone with a text messages from my salesman (ben) who stated in put my receipt in my file that angie claim she destroyed... (drive with prde are thieves I wouldn't recommend any body purchase a vehicle from them, the same day I was there trying to get my money back there were 7 other customers going through the same problem.)

Drive With Pride car purchase

Buyer beware! This business also known as mi familia is a definite, "run the other way" dealer. They try to convince you that they will work a deal out with you and the deal consistently changes. They are definitely crafty and manipulative. They do not stand behind their word, so make sure any deal is in writing and read "all of the fine print". I can't stress this enough. I, personally, would have never dealt with this dealer but tried to help my son out after owning several cars and having poor credit. After he made so many mistakes, I did not want to co-sign so was forced to deal with drive with pride and guide him as best as I could. 3 weeks into owning the car, my son was terminated from his employer but enrolled into trucking school immediately after to ensure employment. He starts trucking school this sunday with a guarantee of employment. Unfortunately, the bank did a second verification of employment and discovered my son was no longer at the job on record. They requested we return the car. We obliged and greg the manager told me he would return our deposit that we provided for the down payment due to the circumstances since the bank would not let my son keep the car despite not missing any payments. However, once we went to dealer, greg said the owner would not give my son back the money that he was in breach of contract because he quit his job. However, this is not the case because my son was terminated. Greg also would not give me the owner's name, which is fishy in, itself. What are they hiding and why can't I have his name? Now, once more, we need to be inconvenienced to provide additional documentation that my son was terminated in order to receive a refund on deposit. The problem is that I will get this paperwork to them, but I am confident that drive and pride will come up with another reason they won't return money. All they do is play games. Since day one in the process of purchasing this car, we went from a $200 payment, to a $220 payment, to a $250 payment to eventually a $320 payment. Each time they would say the deal was done, but then ironically, something new developed justifying their reason to raise the payment. We spent so much time going back and forth to this office with all of their changes to the original deal. My son was at their mercy. They lie, lie, lie! They are a sneaky, and undermining company. Be extremely cautious when dealing with them and deal with them only, if you must. This is my opinion. I will be writing a letter to the better business bureau and filing a claim against them at the txdmv. I will be writing many letters and filing multiple complaints at all applicable agencies. I am going to do my best to get this dealership on the map for scamming their customers and doing my best to get their doors closed. I welcome anyone else who has had bad experiences to do the same. I know that I can't be the only one who has experienced this type of unprofessional behavior. I am a business woman, a wife and a mother. I consider myself to be a good person and expect the same to be reciprocated. A business that is shady like this should not be allowed to continue to stay in business. I don't care how desperate you are for a car. Please go elsewhere and protect yourself from enduring the same experience we did.

Note: this statement is my own personal statement and opinion regarding my own personal experience. My statement and experience is true and my comment should only be used as a reference should you want to purchase a car at drive with pride aka mi familia.

Drive With Pride scam artist. stay away

February 2, 2017 I found myself at drive with pride I was offered a 2014 dodge challenger for 1500 down, after hours we filled out all the paperwork and I left in my new car. I was with gm financial my first car note was due march the following month, I paid two payments for march and april of 448 so I could keep myself ahead. I signed on gm online to make my payment and I was told the car was paid off in full and there was no car note. I knew something wasn't right so I called my sales agent and told me "they ended up having someone else's paperwork in my folder and the bank sent the deal back". I was confused on how they could send the wrong paper work to the bank so I asked what's next she said they were getting my folder together &waiting on (Randy) to come back from hawaii over the weekend. I was promised a call the next week on tuesday to come back and sign more paper work to go with another bank. Tuesday morning may 9 2017 about 3:30 am someone is banging on my door, I open it and it's a gentlemen (Clarence) there asking me if I wanted to get anything out before they tow it, at this point I was so lost and confused for 1. I had just spoken with someone who said they were waiting on a manager for 2. I paid my car note up twice and it wasn't due again!
I call my sales man and she tells me this is a misunderstanding and got randy on 3 way. Randy got on the phone and said he apologized because this was all a miscommunication and he stated they still had to take it because it was already hooked up. I had to take off work the next day to go up to the car lot to go with another bank which was "global acceptance" things were looking kind of suspect at this point. I signed my second contract may 09, 2017 with michelle and was told my next car note was due june 9, 2017. I tried calling the bank and the number on my contract didn’t work [protected]) I tried looking online for the bank and found an email and I emailed them and got no reply. By the end of may no one had ever called or sent anything. I reached out to my sales man who stated she had quit. I then contacted the finance manager who I signed with (Michele) and was told over the phone that she quit as well! At this point all this was confusing me and i’m getting no communication but spending money! Before I could leave work the next day there was a tow truck at my job demanding I give him the keys so they could again take my car! I was confused and upset because i’ve been trying to call and pay and couldn't speak to anyone so I asked him to call and he didn’t. I left work and was on the way to the car lot while the tow truck was speeding right behind me like I was running I nervously pulled over and called my sister to let her know what was going on. I pulled over at a gas station the tow truck driver got out and came around to my window I let it down I said what's going on and why are you calling me instead of the car lot he said "well the bank said you called the bank and said you didn’t want the car" my mouth dropped because again I had no number or info on this bank. The tow driver then looked at me and said "don't take this personal" I looked up and he jumped in my window over my steering wheel and snatched my keys out. I managed to get them back and I hurried and let the window up locked my doors and drove off! I didn't know what to expect next and was on the way to drive with pride myself!
I paid 1500 down and my car notes why would I call a bank and say that! My sister told him this makes no sense someone is doing something dirty, randy hopped out his seat & told us to get the f* out! No way to run a business!
I am now getting threatening phone calls that they are going to send the police to my job to arrest me for auto theft and being told I cant have my money back because there was never a contract!
They stated I only had the car with (Pending approval) even though I paid. I have a lawyer anyone need help email: [protected]@icloud.

Drive With Pride my vehicle

I bought a 2013 volkwagen cc on november 12 2015. It was a very nice car loved it only to notice that the headlights had issue and one not working. After I purchased it nick told me it would be ready within the next week I wait and waited called nick finally to not have him anwer any of my calls.. I live over an hour and a half away so I found the time to drive down there to check it out and come to find out the vehicle hadnt been touched! So I go in to the office and nick sits me down and gets rude and tells me the car he had me driving a rental vehicle he could be charging me $40 a day until my car was ready wait hold up its not my fault you sold me a car with issues! So I go about my business and leave and come back the following week to pick the car up the day before thanks giving finally get my car and the head lights are faded and not shining even 12 feet infront of me so I get into the u turn lane and go to volkswagen they replaced the bulb that day and told me the off brand head light could and have caught other volkswagens on fire... And he told me the other one as well was after market and told me to get replaced asap so not even a week later I got to volkswagen and have it replaced. To hear my oil is as thick as tar and way over due for a oil change! So I go ahead and get the oil changed.. Today december 4th 2015 I went back to drive with pride because marcus told me he spoke with the owner and I was going to be refunded my money the owner agreed.. So I go back down there make the hour and a half drive plus traffic and only to find out I would be speaking to nick the manger who is very unprofessional and starts blowing up on me again and telling me I only wanted to bulbs replaced due to the color so forth well if I cannot see and a bulb is out I need to replace it! So I told him I have the bulbs in the car I can go get them to show you... I go and get them he gets heated and very rude and I get rude back of course because im tired of getting the run around because I am 22 years old... Once he gets the bulbs in his hand he throws me out threatened to call the police if I do not leave I then tell him to return my property which is the headlight bulbs and he fails to do so... So I then ask him again very nicely and keep asking for my bulbs. So he does not go and stick them in another vehicle... So main thing do not I repeat do not buy a car from them! Even if your credit is crappy or if your a first time car buyer they will take you for a ride they ended up getting $5, 100 out of my pocket... Do not I repeat do not they lied on the odometer disclosure as well it stated 46, xxx it had 52, 8xx see how much they lie once you buy the car they are no longer nice all they worry about is getting your hard earned money$*you've been warned!*

Drive With Pride stay away

They are unprofessional, the saleman i had tried to get sexual favors. After rejecting that i had to threaten his job with the despicable and disturbing photos and messages he sent to my phone just to get him to act right and do his job. Then the same day i got the car the check engine light came on. I had a difficult time with the service and found out by the salesman i wasn't the only one who had trouble. They offered to fix the car for free but my check engine light is yet again showing. The cars look nice but are crappy and they are quick to make themselves look good by deceiving people once a complaint is made. They make promises and can't keep none of them. Terrible

Drive With Pride deception

THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF HARRIS

AFFIDAVIT OF BARNEY DONALSON

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, on this day personally appeared BARNEY DONALSON, known by me to be the person hereinafter subscribed and who, upon oath, deposed as follows:

“I am over the age of 18, of sound mind, capable of making this affidavit, and personally acquainted with the facts herein.

“I am a minister with New Beginnings Fellowship Church and operate New Beginnings Houston, a separate ministry that operates subsidized boarding houses for low income individuals. I am also the owner of Legal Express Texas, a company that provides “hotshot” delivery, process service, document location and retrieval, and other support services to attorneys, courts, and government officials.

“On Monday, I began having transmission issues with my truck. I had it looked over by a mechanic, who found not only that the transmission was about to go, but that the engine has head gasket issues. Given that my truck had high mileage and repair costs would exceed $3, 000, I decided to find a new truck

“A friend of mine has a black F150 Ford. I wanted the exact same thing. I spent hours on the internet searching for one in good condition at an acceptable price (below $10K). I found two that I liked. When I went to look at the first one, it had mechanical issues that I didn’t want to deal with.

“Because the second dealer “Drive With Pride” was a little far, before I made the trip I first called to verify that the truck was still available. It was. On May 6th, 2015, a mechanic friend, Tom Grega, and I went to the second dealer. We were assisted by a sales agent who identified himself as John Russ.

“In conversations with Mr. Russ, I advised that I had no credit score at all – neither good nor bad -- because I almost never borrow money. I am the sole owner of two businesses with cash flows of about $6000 a month, and normally pay cash for every purchase. I told Mr. Russ that at this time I needed to finance a truck because most of my resources are tied up with construction project on a future rental property. I also told him that it was my intention to pay the financed amount much earlier than would be required – as soon as I had the cash available.

“Mr. Russ asked me how much I could put down. I said I had $600. He went to another office, then came back and said I would need at least $1000 down. I told him I could go collect rent from a tenant or sell my truck and come back the next day. He advised that he would be off on Thursday, but could finish it up on Friday.

“I looked the truck over and test drove it. It was in good condition and exactly what I wanted. Tom also checked it over very carefully, and did not note any mechanical problems. In the parking lot, standing next to the truck, I told Mr. Russ I wanted the truck. He said he would get the paperwork started and take care of me when he got back on Friday.

“The following day, May 7th, Mr. Russ sent me a text that I needed to call a man named “Barry” at their finance company to answer some questions. I called the man and answered his questions. I also sent texts to Mr. Russ indicating that I was at CarMax to see how much they would pay me for my truck. He replied that Drive With Pride would match any CarMax offer. I later advised that CarMax had offered $1200, and that Texas Direct Auto offered me $1500. Mr. Russ didn’t offer to match Texas Direct Auto’s price; rather, his reply indicated he didn’t think Texas Direct would give me that much unless I bought a vehicle from them. Thus, I decided to sell my truck to Texas Direct. I sent Mr. Russ a text that I would be there Friday afternoon, and he replied “Yes, sir.”

“When I returned on Friday, May 8th, Mr. Russ was not available. After about a five minute wait, I was helped by another salesman whose name I am not sure of – it may have been Jose or Joe. He wanted me to go with him to look at vehicles. I told him I had already picked out a truck and had spoke with their finance company. He told me the truck I was buying had already been sold and again offered to show me others.

“In subsequent conversations with a man I understood to be in charge of the place, I was basically told the truck was sold, nothing could be done, and that they don’t hold vehicles without a deposit. However, at no time in my conversations with Mr. Russ did he ever indicate that a deposit was necessary to hold the truck from being sold to another buyer. If he had so advised, I would have paid a deposit. When I left the Drive With Pride on Wednesday evening, I understood that Mr. Russ was taking care of financing paperwork and that I was to return on Friday with $1, 000 down to finish the deal. Tom Grega, who was also a party to the entire conversation between Mr. Russ and I, also had the same understanding.

“I became very angry. The situation had the appearance of the type of “bait and switch” scheme that is prohibited by the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. I called 911 and asked for a police officer to be dispatched to the location so I could make a report. While waiting for the police, another salesman spoke to me, and then I again spoke to the man I understood to be in charge. He apologized for the situation and said he would see if he could find another black F150. He said he would call me by noon the following day.”

“I then called the police again to explain what had happened, and how it was resolved. The officer cancelled the service call.

“Afterwards, I walked down the service road of the Southwest Freeway, stopping at every car dealership looking for a black F-150. AutoMall 59 did not have one. Shabana Motors did not have one. Sterling McCall had brand new ones, but no used black F-150s. Carmax had a dark blue one that I almost purchased, but didn’t because I realized in the long run I would not have been happy with it because I wanted black. At DriveTime, however, I found a black F-150 similar to the one I was going to buy from Drive With Pride – albeit one costing almost twice as much. At that point I was desperate and without any transportation. I gave them $800 to hold the truck.”

“Because I was without transportation, on the morning of May 9th I set out on foot walking. It was my intention to first stop by Drive With Pride to see if man in charge had found anything, and if not, then to continue on to DriveTime to complete the purchase of the truck I had paid to hold. This was a very long walk, taking several hours.

“It was approximately 12:45 p.m. when I arrived at Drive With Pride. The manager seemed surprised to see me. He said the truck was now available. I asked if the buyer brought it back. He said he didn’t remember what happened. A moment later, Mr. Russ came over claiming he’d sent me a text earlier in the morning telling me the truck was again available. I checked my phone. I had not received any texts from him that day.

“From approximately 12:45 pm to 5:40 p.m., Mr. Russ and a finance officer processed paperwork. Because they wouldn’t accept the check that Direct Auto gave me for my truck, Mr. Russ drove me to a nearby Chase Bank so I could withdraw some cash. He also drove me to my insurance company so I could transfer insurance to the truck I was buying.

“The car lot was getting ready to close when I was finally given the key. I noted that several customization features -- clearly shown in the pictures posted on the car dealer’s website -- that made me want to purchase that particular F-150 (e.g., rear footstep, tool box, extra fuel tank, pump) – had been removed from the truck. However, by that point I was so exhausted I didn’t have the energy to make an issue of it. I just wanted to go home. At 5:40 p.m., I slowly drove the truck out of the parking lot. A block away, when I turned onto the freeway feeder, I found it had very little power. As soon as I got it up to about 30 miles an hour, it started stuttering and a warning chime sounded with a low fuel message. I pulled over into a gas station and purchased some gas. When I restarted the truck, the dash showed “TransFault” with the “O/D Off” light flashing. At 5:46 p.m., I sent Mr. Russ a picture of the dash and told him what was going on. At 5:58 p.m. he replied, ‘Drive it over the weekend and let me know on Monday.’

“It took me a long time to get back to my neighborhood because the truck would not go more than 25 to 30 miles an hour, and every time I had to stop at a traffic light it was hard to get it going again. I stopped at the AutoZone at West Bellfort and Chimney Rock, and asked the clerk to use their diagnostic tool to tell me what was wrong. When he plugged up, the device was unable to communicate with the truck’s computer.

“On the morning of May 11, 2015, the truck was still having issues. I drove it very slowly to the Sterling McCall Ford dealorship, where a mechanic checked the truck. He checked all the fluids and visually inspected the truck, finding nothing other than a couple of loose wires and missing fuses which most likely would not cause the acceleration problem. He also found that the OBD outlet was disabled, which prevented him from connecting a computer to the truck to diagnose the problem. It was his opinion that the truck’s computer was being manipulated by an aftermarket GPS disabler device.

“I decided to return the truck. However, as I was driving back to Drive With Pride, the truck began moving even slower. I barely managed to get it into the parking lot of a shopping strip before it would not move at all. I then called a friend to come pick me up. She drove me to Drive With Pride, where I informed them of the location of the truck.”

“In witness whereof, I have set my hand.”

Drive With Pride sold benz with 4 cracked rims

I purchased a used vehicle from Drive With Pride. During the test-drive, I noticed air was leaking from the tires. I informed the Sales Representative, Chris and he guaranteed the issue would be resolved during the 120-point inspection by an ASE certified mechanic. Later that day, I returned to complete the purchase of the vehicle. Apparently, the only thing that was done by the mechanic was putting air into the tire to stop the wheel sensors from going off.

The day after the purchase, I called and spoke with Josh Milan, who promised to rectify the situation. I took the tire/rim to a local Rim Shop that Josh recommended and the technicians explained that the rim was cracked. They were unable to repair it because it was previously welded in too many different locations, compromising the metal. I called Josh to see if another rim can be purchased as a replacement. He said he spoke with the owner, who is not willing to do anything more.

I have not been able to safely drive this $20k vehicle in the month I have owned it. After further investigation, Drive With Pride sold a vehicle with 4 multiply-cracked rims! How this was missed during the "120-point inspection" is a good question that they are unwilling to answer. Family-owned business? This is a major risk by putting MY family (and other drivers) at risk with this vehicle. The licenses plates have not even come in yet and the vehicle is on a spare, sitting in the garage. I have heard of distrusting used car salesmen, but this is compromising the safety of customers and drivers! What a horrible tragedy!

Drive With Pride shady bussines

Do not buy a car from these people. They buy c****y cars and do not service them. None of the mechanics they have are certified to work on high end cars. They will also change price on you if your credit is not to par. And say its a bank fee. And price gouge you. I repeat do not buy a car from this trailer. You can and will get a better deal else where. These people are out to get any kind of money off you that they can. They will use your score against you. Also half the sales people can not legally sale vehicle here as They do not have sales license. Big state fine for this. Go to major dealer to buy not this shady spot on the side of the road. They state they have buy back period and will put you off till that's over and leave you hanging around. I personally know a girl who bought a vw beetle and she was driving down freeway and her headlight fell off and they did not wanna fix it right away. Buy else where.

There are HUNDREDS of car dealers in Houston, The Vehicles are in GREAT Shape compared to the rest of the area around town, they work with people who have a poor credit rating because they made questionable decissions in the past, that's how credit work's people.
As far as the salesteam everyone there does Their Best to help people get a vehicle for themselves & their families.
The vehicles are not personnaly owned by the employee's so no one knows when mainteance will be needed on a vehicle, that's why An Extended Warranty is offered, but most folks say No to it, well it's an insurance program per say to keep the vehicle issues addressed when they accure & there is a deductable on it also.
The State of Texas Requires EVERYONE to have automobile insurance on their vehicles, if they required for folks to get the warranty insurance on the vehicle there would be less upset people.
"AL:L VEHICLES SOLD IN TEXAS(other Than New) is SOLD AS IS!
YOU DON'T BUY A HOUSE THEN CALL THE REALTOR IF THE SINK STARTS TO LEAK 6 MONTHS LATER!

Bought a car took it back the next day and told them we didn't want it because it wasn't running right. They told us we could return it within 72 hrs with no problem. We get there and of course they say we'll fix it and throw in a 3 month warranty .Sp we thought awesome. They took it to their mechanic said its fix.Nope not fixed now were stuck so we take it to the dealership because we have a warranty guess what it's not covered under the warranty so we had to pay them 130.00 for looking at it.Haven't even made the second payment and were going to be out over a 1000 and something to fix this car.Do not believe them when they say they take care of their customers lies, lies cause we called them and they said were under new management and they say that its to late.
