used car without spare key
I bought a Nissan sentra from driversselect last week and was given only one smart key. When i inquired driversselect, they said the 2nd key was not given when they acquire the car from previous owner, so they can give me only the one available key. Also, they say that they informed me about this, but they never did inform me previously. And if i still need...

Word to the wise, do not go to Drivers Select unless you want your time wasted! There are hundred's of reputable dealerships in DFW metroplex that will treat their potential customers with professionalism and dignity. Not so much at Drivers Select. While you sit and wait, and wait, and wait, they will sell the car from under your nose! What dealership do you know that will have two deals going simultaneously on the same vehicle? What a joke! Oh and forget about customer service. It is handled by a girl named Rosie Hernandez who I believe answers the toll free line from home. She doesn't follow up and does not return phone calls. Just all around terrible dealership! I gave my business to Sewell Lexus. For you credit challenged folks that insist on riding a luxury car, this may be your only hope, but I suggest you go elsewhere and use this dealership as a last resort. They are the pits. I will tell everyone I know, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

False Information
I recently bought a used SUV from Drivers Select in Dallas Texas and when I was trying to negotiate a deal with them, I was told that the reason the vehicle was over priced by $3000 was because they had just put new tires and new brakes on the vehicle and they had to make up their investment on the car through me the buyer. I was also told that they got the value of the car I was buying through NADA and that they did not use the Kelly Blue Book here in Texas because it was strictly a West Coast book and they do not use it. After a week of driving my SUV, I happened into a new reputable tire store just to find out what the tires on my SUV would cost in case I had to replace them. I was told the price and while checking my tires the sales person told me that my tires were only good for another 10 - 12 thousand miles and were not new. I then checked at another tire store and was told the same thing. I went back to the dealership and told them what I had found out and asked them to either refund me the difference or put new tires on (brakes were probably never replaced either) they told me that they did not care what the two tire stores told me and that besides on used cars they sell as long as there was 90% tire ware left on them it was OK, pluse the spare tire that was on my vehicle did not match the ones on the vehicle already. I went around and around with the sales person that sold me the car and I told him that I wanted to talk to the Finance Manager who negotiated the deal with me and also told me the tires and brakes were new, but he refused to come out and talk to me. I still want to either get refunded the difference or get new tires for my vehicle, does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

This company will sell a GMC w/"Chevy Shake". Also, they with give you the wrong license plates.
take the company in small court claim in your district, the fee is low and the court will decide if there is wrong doing. If you win the company will have to reimburse your fees and the new tires cost. Also make sure to write reports on yelp and other sites to warn their clients. Did you ask to put on your contract that it had new tires? do you have a witness? it is important to be prepared
take the company into a small claim court, your contract should have mentioned tat it has new tires! If not it will be difficult unless you have a witness about yodel with them ! Small court claim the fee is little and the court will decide if there is wrong doing and make them reimburse the cost of new tires if you win!
I have a thought for you.
If you thought that the car was overpriced by $3000, then who held a gun to your head to make you buy the stupid thing? There are HUNDREDS of dealerships in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. If it's "overpriced" then move on to the next stop and try your luck there...
You never even listed your claim of "false information" in your rant. What was false? The fact that you had an internet print out of what you thought the car was worth, and they had the nerve to sell it for more money? Sometimes we as buyers (I know I do this) like to hear what we want to hear. If you're making a large ticket transaction like this, get all of your information on paper and then go home to do some research before making a quick impulse buy.
yeah stand out front with a sign saying how much this car dealer is a rip off-not on their property though and dont move until you see the manager

I will never EVER do business with Drivers Select. I went yesterday 1/27/2011 and was treated so disrespectfully! I walked through the door was not greeted until the person I was went to go get someone after dealers were just passing us up. When someone finally came to "help" us he left us in the room for an HOUR! I got up leave only to see him laughing and talking with a friend of his that came up to see him!
He saw me about to leave and told me to hold on 5 min. ON MY WAY OUT he told me he could quote me a price for a car that is worth on the kelly blue book for $15000 for $25800.00. This must have been outside his mind. Forgot he was dealing with a woman that does her homework before she goes out.
Needless to say i will never EVER go back!
I worked most of my deal out over the phone and just basically called before buying an identical car at another dealer. Chris McClelland got back with me and said he could work the same deal out but save me 80 bucks a month on payment we went down and what little questions I had were answered with lies and mis-leading answers. We were signing all of our paper work at closing time and with a quick rush through we were headed home and loving our new car! However, the following morning I reviewed the paper work and was disgusted. I called back down to see if I could just if I could just simply being the car back and have my original vehicle. I was told no and that I had signed off on everything the night before and that it was in black & white right in front of me. Will never consider them again and will tell every and anyone who is to not!
