Signing fraud
On July 23, 2014 around 2-3 in the afternoon two men dressed in Entrust Energy blue and tan pants knocked at my door and others in the neighborhood in Spring Texas on Jay Street & Lynngate Dr.
These so called sellers of energy stated at my front door and others that they were here and there to rectify consumer’s bills that were over charge on their electrical bills and demanded that the home owners give them a copy of their bills? Of course I stated that I would not hand over my bill to anyone I did not know but then they then pointed to some laminated fake Center Point Energy badges stating they were from Center Point Energy and that they were there to save me money and credit back some phony charge.
When the jig was up and I told them I knew the phony laminated Center Point Energy badges were fake they just went down the block to the next house or victim with a different sales pitch. I would like to say 3 minutes later I called the police (on record) which had heard of this scam and sent 5 patrol cars. I then contacted Center Point Energy 1-800 number in which they stated we do not sell anything plus our cars, trucks etc will have the Center Point logo on the truck, employee etc and told us again relay this to police.
I then contacted Entrust Energy directly which took a detailed report and stated that yes the Center Point Energy badges these sales people were wearing were in fact fake! Entrust Energy directly knew and stated that some or one of their AGENTS had dropped these sales sign uppers in the area using a white van to sign or attempt to sign people up. Of course Entrust Energy never returned my call or contacted me again as I now see that reading all over the web this alone is a common tactic to fool, scam etc to get people to sign up for Entrust Energy.
Now these Entrust Energy sellers, sign uppers fled the scene in a white van as the police or constables dispatched 5 cars in the area to catch these phonies (Documented 911 Call July, 23, 2014). After reading through Entrust Energy complaints online I have found this scam of you were over charged we are here to fix it, let me see a copy of your energy bill in there MO and scam pitch.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Fraud
On July 23, 2014 to black males dressed in blue shirts and tan parts from Entrust Energy rang my door bell and stated that they were from (Center Point) and needed to see a copy of the electrical bill. I noticed right off the bat that the Center Point ID Badges were fake laminates whereas I told them so! I contacted (Center Point) which stated yes they are fake and then contacted Entrust Energy which stated again they do not use or have (Center Point) badges. Armed with this information police were called by 5 people and a swarm of police etc rushed to catch these scammers on Jay Street and Lynngate Dr in Spring Texas. All 3 black males got into a white van and drove away. The police found that many neighbors had complained of the same entrust energy sales people using the old (Center Point) energy scam badges and telling people they were from (Center Point) and were fraundlently telling people they over charged and they were here to rectify this. It was found that the 3 black males were indeed imployed by entrust energy and had been dropped off in the area of Spring Texas on Jay Street and Lynngate area on July 23, 2014. It was found that they created phony (Center Point) badges (that looked bad) to fool people into signing up or switching providers by making people feel safe (Center Point) asking for private information (there bills) to get slammed. Entrust Energy was contacted (have proof) and did nothing as another complaint on the web can been found with the same tactics. Police combed the area 5 cop cars looking for these 3 black males but the knew the jig was up and flew.
BEWARE OF ENTRUST ENERGY AGENTS DROPPING OF BLUE AND TAN PANTS SIGNER UPERS THEY HAVE NOW BEEN DOCUMENTED USING THIS SCAM NOT ONCE BUT 3 TIMES RECORDED BY POLICE AND THE WEB. SCAM BOOK HAS ANOTHER COMPLAINT WRITTEN WAY BEFORE THIS ONE. THE POLICE STATED IF ANY OF THESE GUYS WERE CAUGHT WITH PRIVATE INFORMATION USING THIS TACTIC AUTOMATIC ARRESTS WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE. ENTRUST ENERGY HAS HEARD THIS COMPLAINT BEFORE IT SEEMS IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY DROPPING PUSHY SALES PEOPLE OFF IN YOUR AREA THAT WILL USE PHONY BADGES, SAY ANYTHING TO GET A SIGN UP.
THEY HAVE NO DEFENCE!

I was just approached by a woman named Michelle Straker who did have the 'Entrust' forms and said that Entrust uses wind energy, so they are 'greener'. But she didn't actually say I was switching to another company, instead she stressed that I would 'stay with Oncor' because Oncor owns everything, it was really confusing. I was interested because of possibly lowering my bill, and using wind energy, but when I was talking to the person on the phone to confirm, I was asked for a $300 deposit, which Michelle didn't even mention. Turns out there were some ways around that - qualifiers, and I could have qualified, since I prepay a lot on my bill, usually have a credit on the statement and I am never late. I was told that if I sent her copies of my two recent bills, then I would not have to pay deposit. Now I get online and I see all this stuff about fraud and misrepresentation, and I feel freaked out about giving this stranger all my information. I will never engage with another door to door solicitor.

Sorry you experienced this type of behavior. As the VP Sales & Marketing for Entrust Energy, we do not endorse or accept this type of behavior. If you can email me at marketing@entrustenergy.com with your address, I can research who was in your area on July 23. I am also curious as to when you called our customer care team as this information did not get relayed back to me.
Once again, my apologies - and I look forward to your email.
Hidden conditions in contract
Entrust Energy have lots of hidden conditions in their contract and I discovered it only after I signed up for a 2 year contract. Soon they have started to charge me extra for the services I didn’t know about and when I called them and asked for the reason of those charges they told me that everything is mentioned in the contract… They are not trustworthy at all, avoid dealing with Entrust Energy.
