Freeadvice.com The response I got for my question was far from insight full and rudeIt is a waste of time

I posted a question on the website seeking some advise and what I got was far from that. The response I got for my question was far from insight full and rude. What I have read in some of the other reviews about the members being insensitive and giving little to no legal insight is true. Nothing but a bunch of cyber bullies that will go to any length to make you feel sorry you even tried to get help from the site. The person who said you were better off going to google first is correct, and I was actually advised by some of the senior members that I could've found my answer by just using my favorite search engine to research it. So, why have a place that offers free advise, but their senior members will jump at the chance to tell you that you didn't need them in the first place. It is a waste of time.

AMAZING COINCIDENCE B/C I GOT THE SAME UNPROFESSIONAL RUDENESS FROM LAWYERS AND A,
'So? __ what -can-we-do-about-it' response attitude from management.

Now, I know why people loath lawyers so much

Nothing but emotionally adolescent idiots taking advantage of web-anonymity to be exactly that. The behavior's little better than what you see on many Youtube comments pages. Spare yourself the personal attacks that most of them enjoy, and don't post there.

Freeadvice.com I am never going to this website again and will be advising everyone I know to seek legal advice elsewhere

I am never going to this website again and will be advising everyone I know to seek legal advice elsewhere. In response to legal questions, I witnessed other site members making repeated derogatory comments and remarks that could arguably be named as outright libelous. Members would not take the time to thoroughly read and understand what was being asked and/or said before offering their assumptions. Member responses are on par with what you would read if you posted your question on Yahoo Answers, Twitter or as your Facebook status...what good is a so-called legal forum rife with critics on the kind of person you are in real-life? The only action I saw being taken by the site moderator(s) was to lock the thread when they felt the answers were sufficiently good (even when the advice-seekers would say they had still not gotten a clear and non-judgemental answer). Yet they freely allow other site members (especially those with the most posts) to type whatever they feel ( non-legal chitchat, vulgar terms, name-calling). I am personally appalled that the site is run that way. If I were looking for legal advice off-line and received that kind of treatment, I would promptly be looking elsewhere! It is a wonder to me why the volunteers want to and are allowed to use that site to verbally berate others instead of helping with legal matters. Unless you like being cyberbullied, please spare yourself the visit. I hope that the offending members of that site are banned for their behavior.

Posters should proceed with caution and research the advise on the site before posting.

Look at the senior members posting history. The advise on this site is free but is not always from a professional person. It is hard to tell who you are taking advise from.

The advise from the senior members is not delivered with any degree of sensitivity, empathy or compassion. You will rarely find an advocate here although sometimes the information will be useful and insightful.

In some cases you will find the advise un-constructive - i.e unnecessarily negative in nature. Some senior members will quickly digress into a personal attack on the original poster.

Not a source for sound, rational, polite advise.

Absolutely! That place is like YouTube but worse. The advisers are nothing but Google Armchair Lawyers and they are very vicious to newcomers. There is inappropriate name calling, trolling and stalking. I told a senior member that I did not need to explain my "moral" situation to her concerning my post (because I had already explained it quite thoroughly) and she flipped her lid- literally stalked me for two days shutting down every post I made on another thread. It was creepy. I decided to delete my posts because I didn't feel safe or welcome with my personal issue and I was sopped after a couple were deleted. Administrations aid I was going to upset the people who took time to answer me. - Who cares!?They didn't answer- they trolled like a gang of snarky 12 year olds. I had one solid piece of advice, the other 22 were just like a tank of starving Parana. Steer clear - these aren't professionals, they are just regular people pretending to be professionals and the site should be shut down. I can't even delete my account- because all posts are property of the site so they can use them later---if that gives you a clue. If there is a real lawyer anywhere on that site- bet you 100 to one it's the ambulance chaser type. Be very careful, I suggest not even trying it.

DO NOT USE THIS. The people answering are not advisers, they are armchair critics. You get better advice from angst 12 year olds on Youtube. My experience was AWFUL. I was called names when I asked a question. Then asked about my moral standing - which has nothing to do with the laws concerning what I was asking about. I stated this and then spent the next few days being stalked and harassed by the person I refused to answer too about my morals. This was a question on caring for my parents instead of putting them in a home. Every time I replied to a post this individual was there to tell me It was not a advice chit chat site and my thoughts were irrelevant. Yet I saw posts by this high priority poster that were extreamly unprofessional and very chitchat- personal opinon-ish. As in "In my opinion I'd tell the person to screw off" Administrators did nothing. The worst part is - you cannot deactivate your account- you need permission. I don't want these awful strangers to have ANY access to me at all. I look at the FAQ and it states- all posts are property of the site. Okay- now I get it. If there are any real councilors on the site they are the ambulance chasing sort to be involved in that kind of business. This is very aggravating. I was trolled and pushed around by a bunch of googling armchair "lawyers" and then could not even opt out of the irritating site. Run don't walk this is a scam and is extremely unprofessional.

Freeadvice.com Don't use their site, google what you want to know first

I asked a few questions and was answered rudely. I was told I could have found my answer by using my favorite search engine instead of asking their advice. Very god advice for others. Don't use their site, google what you want to know first!

a guy named silverplum and like 3 other "admins" were total [censored]s, I feel like they got together and made this site probably because they have little man syndrome or something cause I know for a fact they never talk to anyone face to face like that. Hiding behind a computer screen is pathetic in my book

Agree 100%! They were very rude to me...downright insulting for no reason! They kept twisting around words to make my husband and I out to be the bad people, when we were the ones asking for help. Will never use the forums again, and will tell anyone I know who is considering doing so to stay away...they will not get help! They will only be treated badly by the same 4-5 people who seem to think they are know-all/be-all of the board!

Yes they were rude to me also. I think they feel because they are offering free advice that they have the right to be down right nasty...there are many other forums that will answer questions without the attitudes given here...I don't mind being told I'm wrong but I don't like blatant disrespect when I'm asking for help.

I agree also that they are very rude. I guess that makes up for their lack of brains.
