Rude and shady
I have an auto loan with gecu and I made the payment back in January, well in March I found out that the loan was "behind" because the January payment was applied wrong (it was applied directly to the principal instead of to the principal and intrest) so my February payment was applied to the fees from January. GECU RIPPED OFF MY BUSINESS!
GECU HAS SLAMMED MY ACCOUNT WITH NEW RIPOFF FEES. NO NOTICE BEFOREHAND THOUGH THEY TOLD ME THE SAME SCOOP THAT THEY SENT OUT A LETTER. I GOT NO LETTER. HOW CAN YOU KEEP A CUSTOMERS MONEY THAT YOU TOOK THAT THEY DIDN'T AGREE TO. THIS CREDIT UNION SUCKS NOW. GOODBYE.
CLOSED MY ACCOUNT AFTER 7 YEARS, MOVED TO BANK OF AMERICA WHO TREATS IT'S CUSTOMERS GOOD AND WITH SOME APPRECIATION. SO LONG GECU, YOU HAVE LOST US AS A CUSTOMER FOREVER AND WE WILL DO AS OTHERS ARE DOING AND TELL PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR CRAZY FEES TO BUSINESSES NOW. Fees are ridiculous
I start getting hit with really high fees on my work account. I'm going to another bank. The fees have gotten to be too much at GECU. I have a business type of account for my work. I'm not sure if the other accounts are getting hit with these big charges now but my work account is. Also the last time I went to the branch they said no more drive they for businesses. Seriously this place has become terrible if you have a business type if account.
I meant to say that the last time I was there, they told me there will be no more drive thru lanes for businesses. This place is just bad for a business I think.

An teller at GECU gave me this website nonetheless. I was told I could voice my concern here since they don't seem to listen to their employees. My concerns are that GECU has provided inadequate customer service as of late. I have been seeing higher debits of fees come out of both our business accounts without any notice ahead of it happening. It's occurring each month now and it's always different. The staff at their call center has been providing a much lower level of customer service as opposed to what GECU provided back in the good ole days. For a teller at GECU to suggest posting my concern online tells me they have problems with their employees. If you already do business with GECU, perhaps stick it out in hopes of it getting better. If you're thinking about opening an account with GECU or doing any new business with them, personally I would look elsewhere. This place has really changed compared to how they used to appreciate their customers.
My daughter and I have a small business here in El Paso. The fees that have been getting debited from business accounts has affected us too. We were forced to leave GECU after a 30 year relationship. My parents even bank with them. I had introduced my daughter to them thinking they were El Paso's best, boy have they ever changed. We were getting hit with fees just for using out debit card to make purchases. We tried to stick it out but it was just getting to be too much wasted money on the business fees. We left and it is so refreshing now at Evolve Federal Credit Union. I have a concern that a lot of the members don't know they are being billed these new fees on their accounts. We got no notice beforehand.

What a GREEDY credit union!
My parents have had their accounts with GECU for as long as I can remember. We own a small family business and we have a hard enough time making ends meet. When my mom opened the business account for our restaurant, we were being billed $10 a month each month. Now they are biking us over $100.00 a month without warning! My mother called to complain and the rep said they sent a letter out. My mother gets the mail and didn't receive this letter. What kind of a place hikes the fees up like this on a small family business. My parents are closing the account and getting both mine and my sisters car loan out of here. The fees are now ridiculous at GECU and we will tell everyone we can to stay away from dealing with them.
GECU (aka: Government Employees Credit Union / Greater El Paso Credit Union)
My parents both feel RIPPED OFF by GECU. They are hard working and came from Mexico to work hard and make an honest living and we didn't expect GECU to take advantage of them like this!
Go anywhere but here, they totally overcharge businesses compared to every other bank we checked.

Change to Evolve Federal Credit Union. They're credit and have no fees on their accounts unless you bounced a check or something down those lines. We stopped using out GECU business account too because of their new fees. I heard they are doing this because they are in financial trouble but I don't know other than what I heard. It's very simple, just bank at another credit union that isn't so greedy as GECU has now become.
GECU IS ALL ABOUT FEES NOW.

We stopped banking at GECU for this exact reason. Their fees spell greed and we had no notice upfront. They take money out of your account with a smile and then won't return it. GECU has become the most awful credit union I've dealt with in El Paso. It was much better when Ms. May was running things.
