Gold Crown Property Management $700.00 rip-off

On January 5, 2011 I contracted with Sandy Gardner FL. Lic#TP6798 for the rental or sale of my Lawrence Welk's Desert Oasis timeshare. I paid $700.00 to Gold Crown Property Management and received a "Certificate of Performance Guarantee" good for 18 months.
My phone calls have not been returned in over a month and now a recording tells me that that telephone # is no longer in service.
They have not lived up to my contracts.
I would like to have my money returned.

I have the similar experience and I am planing to make a formal complaint to Florida attorney General. It seems this company is notorius to scam time share owners. They called me every day until I paid them ~700 then stop responding to my phone calls.

This company is TOTALLY SCAM! Not just the company all the people who work there are trainned to scam your money. DO NOT trust them. I was contact by TAMMY TOM about how to rent my timeshare, I gave her my credit card info to charge me $600. I called her back 20 minutes later to asked her to not charge my credit card because I decided not to do it. Tammy...

Gold Crown Property Management money taken with no sale

Had phone call from representative for this company wanting to market my time share for sale or rent. Cost---only $$449.00. I had no calls from them for over a year. Just before the year was up, I requested a refund of the money, but have heard nothing from them. They are a ripoff.

I lost $11, 784 to Crown Asia. I think the time has come to complain to government authorities. the philippines is concerning about good international relations with the USA. This company should make right their wrong or be prosecuted and the properties turned over to the rightful owners as us. I will contact ABS-CBN about this. OK, Crown Asia!

Gold Crown Property Management Fraud

Christian Kohl with Gold Crown Property Mangement called my parents explaining that he could sell their timeshare in Branson, MO in as little as 2 weeks. All they had to do was pay $1, 194 upfront. Mr. Kohl said he would overnight the contract in the mail, of which they never received. My mom called me reluctant to give this company this amount of money. After I spoke with Mr. Kohl and researched Gold Crown on the internet, I determined they were a ligitiment company. I called Mr. Kohl myself and gave him my credit card information for the $1, 194. My parents never received the contract nor have we been able to get anyone to call us back. This has been going on for over 4 months now. I have spoke with another company who has instructed me to contact my credit card company to file a fraudulent report. My question is, what recourse do we have against this company and how can I get my money back?

In March, 2009, we paid Gold Crown $798.00 to sell our timeshare. They insisted they could sell it for $20, 000.00. By March, 2010, nothing had happened. I couldn't access the website to view the ad without calling them first. At that time, we tried to drop the sale amount to $5000.00. Dewey Jones said that was too low. We agreed on $15, 000.00. I finally had my attorney send them a letter in September, 2010, trying to get our money back. They refused. They said they met the terms of the contract because they had listed the property for sale and they had called me 3 times during the contract period. They said they were still trying to sell it. Except for once, their calls to me were returning my calls about access to the website. In March, 2010, Dewey Jones called. This was shortly before the time was up for them. Their telephone has been disconnected and I still cannot access the site to view our ad.

Many Florida timeshare sale and rental companies under fire

Florida has launched a war against the timeshare resale industry, announcing Thursday ongoing investigations into 17 companies, as well as a lawsuit against one company.

In 2009, complaints about timeshare resale companies overtook mortgage-related complaints reported to the Florida attorney general.

The attorney general also filed suit against South Daytona-based ResalesBuyOwner.com, its third suit in recent months against timeshare resale companies. Allegations against ResalesBuyOwner.com are that the company forced customers to pay up-front fees for services that were never provided. The company charged customers' credit cards even after they decided not to do business with ResalesBuyOwner.com, the suit says.

The office has also filed suits against American Marketing Group and Hicks Inc., both based in West Palm Beach.

Some 17 companies, many based in South Florida, have been subpoenaed because of complaints about deceptive business practices. Customers have said some of the companies failed to honor cancellation policies, misrepresented the services they would provide and failed to comply with some parts of state and federal telemarketing acts. They include:

• Executive Timeshare Marketing in Tamarac.

• Coastal Timeshare Solutions in Boca Raton

• Worldwide Resorts Direct and Worldwide Marketing Solutions of Palm Beach, doing business as Worldwide Timeshare, in West Palm Beach

• TS Luxury Group in Lake Worth

• C&G Marketing Associates, doing business as Premier Timeshare Solutions in Palm Beach Gardens

• Nationwide Marketing Solutions, doing business as Magnum Advertising Services in Lake Worth

• International Resort Solutions in Lake Worth

• E.A.T. Sales in Boca Raton

• Euroamerican Timeshare in Boynton Beach

• Transatlantic Timeshare in Boynton Beach

• Seabreeze Advertising Corp., also known as SBA Corp. in Daytona Beach

• Timeshare Market Pro in Davie

• International Marketing and Finance in Wellington

• Gold Crown Property Management in Dunedin

• Vacation Property Resales doing business as BUYATIMESHARE.COM in Tampa

• Timeshare Only in Orlando

• PFS Concepts, Inc., doing business as US Vacation in Largo

Already, the state has settled with seven timeshare resale companies, including about $100, 000 for customers of World Timeshares of Deerfield Beach; about $90, 000 from Timeshare Travels of Boca Raton; $36, 000 from Preferred Vacation Resorts of Clearwater; $26, 000 from D&D Vacations, doing business as United States Property Services, of Largo; about $37, 000 from S.F.C. Group, doing business as TWA Resale, of Orlando.

On Thursday, the state noted one of its largest settlements with a timeshare resale company. Virtual Group of Orange County, which goes by the name Realty Trade, has paid $800, 000 in refunds to customers and will pay $500, 000 to customers who request refunds in the future.

If you are planning on selling or renting your timeshare or would like help getting your money back from any of the above companies please contact [protected]. Please leave a detailed message including your name, phone number and best time you can be reached. Or please email your information to fight_back2009@live.com.
