Telemarketing Scam
Since 10/15/2008, Grand Discovery Consultants has been telemarketing me. I have asked them to remove my name from their lists, but nobody does. I am finally making a formal complaint. They claim I filled out a form once, but I never did - I don't travel! Originally, when I insisted, they gave me a phony phone number. I had to look up their company in the HTC phone book, where I found their number and called. I spoke to a gentleman named Leland Worley, who told me they farm-out their telemarketing, so he's "unsure" of who has my number. He said he'd "try" to look into it. He obviously didn't, since they are still calling me, regularly. I have since reported them to the FTC, the BBB, and to the DoNotCall list, as well as posting this information on several review sites.

scam
after setting through over 90 minutes of presentation on vacations and driving several hours and taking up my time I was promissed two air line tickets round trip to orlando fl. and two night three day accomaditions plus 300 dollar certificate to spend at local stores including wallmart. Never received certificate got a card to send in for airline but the fees they added on cost more than if i had just went to airport and purchased tickets plus you could only fly on mondays or tuesdays if it was avaliable. My thoughts are that this was a scam to get people in to buy their promotions. I feel like I have been very missled
I talked to a couple of more couples after the presentation and they also was upset and said this was nothing but a fake scam.
VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED!
My husband and I wish we had never heard of timeshares, the experience has been a nightmare. Not only did we never get anything out of the investment because nothing was ever available when we tried to book, but now that we find ourselves in a financial struggle, we cannot get rid of it. We tried ebay, craigs list, charity, you name it. NOBODY WANTS IT as they know they will get stuck with yearly maintenance fess, taxes, assessments etc. even though it is paid for. Companies that want money upfront to rent or sell for you are scamming and we got ripped off twice. Now Wyndham vacations has sent us to a collection agency for the fees. We have begged them to take it back and they won't do it. Our home is in foreclosure and we are broke, so we have no choice but to put them in our bankruptcy. we live in Las Vegas and we see the time share peddlers all the time on the street, we want to scream at people not to listen to their high pressure pitches as that is how we got sucked into these death traps, everyone we know that has bought has regretted it. There should be some kind of regulation on what they can and can't do, in the meantime, we will continue to warn everyone we can NEVER to fall for the time share ownership lies.
