Hungry Howies poor service and customer relations

Today [protected].
The food was delivered cold an hour and a half after ordering it. Passengers were witnessed exiting the delivery vehicle. The same driver had delivered to our location in the past, do he knew how to find us. When the franchise was called, the manager acted as if she didn't care. Asked what "color" the driver was, really what does that have to do with anything. Said since we have camera's to look at them and call back and tell them. That is ridiculous, you know who was sent to our location. Both this manager and driver need to be retrained. We will no longer do business with HUNGRY HOWIE'S due to this incident.

I have been trying to get a credit on my card since August. They charged me for my order and then charged another $15.92. When I called about it, they said that happened to a few people, their credit card machine was acting up. I have called 3 more times and always, the same answer, I will have the "general manager" take care of it.. I even went on their home website asking about my refund and no answer. At first I wasn't too worried about it, but its past the point of that now. Give me back my dang money...

Hungry Howies FOOD

Last night 2/16/2012
Ordered the special large $10 pizza (unlimited toppings), with cheese, pepperoni and black olives, a whole Italian sub and a cinnamon bread. Total order equaled $24.16
Once the items were received, and opened the first thing noticed was that the cinnamon bread had only one thing of icing in it, the whole Italian sub, had NO cheese on it, none, and the container of lettuce, tomato and peppers was less than half way full and welted.
Made a call and spoke to the manager (Eric), and explained what was wrong with our order. Eric told me that this "may have happened if were are sometimes short of something". I then told him that he could have someone bring the icing or bring back my money because cinnamon bread is not the same with out icing (we got one icing, and have always gotten 2 in the past). I then asked about the lettuce and tomato (are you out of that too?) he begins to get aggravated and tells me that our containers have always been filled to exactly the same level. I tell Eric that we have regularly used this store since the day it opened and I have ever had this happen. I asked my money be returned and that he needed to send out a delivery person to pick up the food that was not how I ordered it. He then tells me that it has been a couple months that they stopped putting 2 icings into the cinnamon bread box, I told him. "No, Eric, it has not, I use HH at least monthly if not more, your incorrect." Eric then says to me, "Oh yeah, its even been 6 months since we have done that." Well, I guess I missed something, did he not say in the beginning of the conversation that "sometimes that is because we are short of a item? Now it is because that changed a few months ago, Oh wait, it changed 6 months ago?
Eric hung up on me. Nice. Very unprofessional.
After that, we opened the insides of the sub (Whole Italian) and were surprised to find NO CHEESE in them. Not a single string or shred. Knowing I would not get anywhere with the manager, Eric, I did not even bother to call again. But I will be in there store in the morning, to talk to the day manager and see what his/her answer is.
Eric refused to fix the issue, refused to have another driver bring the icing and more lettuce/tomato or ask the driver to come get the food. He also stated, "I am not refunding anything".
Last month, we ordered, and after 1 hour when our food did not arrive, i called this same HH, and was told "oh yeah, well, the driver had a flat so we had to send a second driver out, we will get you your food as soon as he can get there. No apology, No discount, No refunds.
Very indicative to me that something is not right at the store lately.
Sorry, No pictures, didn't think to do that.

i am just fed up with bushnell fl hungry howies. every single time i order they always messing up with my orders. when i call the store they just have the attuides like i am wasting their time. well time to fine another pizza place. do not order from them and waste your money.

Hungry Howies Horrible service

OMG so i called Hungry Howies in Tempe Arizona an hour after i ordered my pizza to find out where i was. When i called a girl named Jenna answered and acted like i was completely wasting her time. When i asked to talk to the manager he continued to act like a customer called was a waste of time. I was very appalled by the service of this facility and accepted it because i understand the stress of the service industry. But, when the pizza was delivered i experienced the same attitude from the driver. I know that no company wants this kind of reputation being put with their name. I think that hungry howies should reconsider how they do business if they want to survive these hard times.

Hungry Howies They are very ignorant

I ORDERED 2 MED PIZZAS - ONE HALF PEP HALF CHEESE, THE OTHER WITH HAM PINEAPPLE AND PEP WITH HALF CAJUN CRUST AND HALF RANCH. THEY GAVE US 2 MED CRAPPY PIZZAS ONE ALL PEP CAJUN CRUST AND THE OTHER HAM PINEAPPLE, AND PEP WITH ALL CAJUN. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME WE HAVE ORDERED AND THEY GOT OUR PIZZAS WRONG, THEIR MANAGER IS RUDE, AND WHEN WE ASKED THEM TO FIX IT THEY DEMANDED THE PIZZAS BACK THAT WERE WRONG, EVEN THOUGH THAT IS ILLEGAL IN FLORIDA FOR A PLACE TO TAKE FOOD BACK FROM A CUSTOMER ONCE IT HAS BEEN GIVEN. THEY ALSO WILL NEVER RECEIVE OUR SERVICE AGAIN, WE WILL DRIVE THE DISTANCE 12.7 miles TO PAPA JOHNS BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS GET OUR ORDER RIGHT AND ARE ALWAYS POLITE!

I have had the worst experience with the Hwy 231 Panama city, FL Hungry Howies. They served me rotten food, that caused me to be ill. I have contacted corporate who gave my information to the uncaring owner of that store Mr. Marshall. He was rude and now I know why I was treated rude by his staff, because that is the accepted behavior. I was promised to receive coupons for my inconvenience, they failed to even provide me with those. I don't feel that coupons in any way makes up for the diarreah or vomitting that I suffered from the rancid food. I even called Mr. Marshall again to ask about my coupons and he didn't call me back or show the least bit of concern. This is the most ignorant group of people I have ever dealt with, that is ok because the internet is a powerful tool and I will not stop until I have posted my experience to every website that I can.

perhaps if you ordered your food like a normal person and not tried to confuse people you would get the correct order you prolly are just a free loader who wants to get free stuff cause your an idiot

Hungry Howies They tried to cheat me

This actually happened some time ago, but this site was messed up and wouldn't let me post the complaint when it happened..here's what happened: we ordered 3 Hungry Howies subs for the coupon price of $3.99 a piece plus a side order, our order arrived however one sub was missing, the delivery guy tried to argue that we only paid for 2 subs so we only ordered two, we showed him the coupon and told him we ordered 3 there was three of us why would we order only 2 subs when the missing sub was the one ordered for the person who was paying for the food?..duh! He then said he could put in a order for us, but we had to pay for the third sub, he was told #1 we were already charged for the third sub, we are not paying another charge #2 by the time the third sub arrived our food would be cold because we would not eat until the third sub arrived..he did not offer to take the food back and bring us our corrected order and he insisted we had to pay for the third sub plus a second delivery charge..my Partner snapped take the entire order back we no longer wanted it, we would order from Pizza Hut from now on..HH has lost valuable customers! She then shut the door in his face..the sad thing is he lives three trailers down from us..that delivery guy tried to get a fourth charge from us plus a second delivery charge because he only delivered two out of three subs..he didn't count on us sending the food back! We then ordered a large pizza from Pizza Hut paid only $12 and had it within 30 mins..HH will no longer have us for customers!

Last nite 2/17/2012
I was studying in University, thought of ordering pizza. Which i ordered online at 7.40 my estimated pizza delivery time was 8.40pm. So I called them at given time, they told the guy just left for delivery. Around 9.00 pm i called them again, I got the same answer - He just left 5 minutes ago. Again I called them at 9.20 Yet the pizza guy didn't reach he told me the same thing again - he just left 5 minutes ago.
Finally I was so upset I cancelled the order.
I was so hungry but they kept on playing with me. Really disappointed.

It shouldn't take a trailer-trash, lesbian, genius to realize that 3 subs at $3.99 and a "side order", plus tax and delivery, would come to more than $12.66 (as stated in your other complaint). Maybe you should have double checked the order while you were still on the phone instead of blaming the "of course it was a male" driver. Drivers generally have nothing to with the order taking or making. We all understand that mistakes happen and stores will try to make it right for the most part. I'm sure Hungry Howie's didn't try to "cheat you" and are probably not missing your business as you seem pretty bitter anyway.

Hungry Howies Awful experience

(This actually happened April 2nd so the date is wrong)..But you would think businesses such as HH would want to keep their repeat customers..apparently HH is hungry for money not customers! I placed a order for 3 small subs at $3.99 rounded off that's $12 total I was given a total of $12.66..I was going to give the driver a $3 tip..when he arrived he only had 2 subs when I asked about the 3rd sub he said I was only charged for 2 subs...I told him I was charged for 3 subs at $3.99 a piece..he argued there was a delivery charge..I asked him if it was suppose to be $4..he offered to call and find out about the 3rd sub..he called and was told I only ordered 2 subs I argued there was 3 of us did they think we would eat and let the 3rd person starve? (keep in mind 2 other people listened as I placed our order for 3 small subs I informed him of this as well)..he offered to go back for the 3rd sub, but he "would have to charge me for it". I said no I have already been charged for the 3rd sub and if we did wait then the other 2 would get cold..I snapped it's not worth it, take them back and keep them I'll order from somewhere else and HH has lost my business for good..and I did I called Pizza Hut..I got a large 3 topping pizza and a side order of bread sticks for less then HH wanted for 3 small subs..I have since removed them from my speed dial and will never again order from Hungry Howies! Their loss the last four times I ordered pizza it was from HH...in two days we'll be visiting Pizza Hut again..in your face Hungry Howies! My guess is the driver figured out they forgot to charge us for the delivery charge so he left one small sub behind hoping we wouldn't say anything.. what do you expect the driver was male..I guess he didn't think he would get a tip..well, he not only did NOT get a tip, but he had to return the two subs and HH lost valued repeat customers..Goodbye HH!

Hungry Howies is being sued by me and corporate don't even care to talk to me about it. I was fired from the Bonifay FL restaurant. Told them I wanted compensation or I'm taking it to federal court and suing for upwards of 20 million. No response from corporate. So my lawyers are working a case

Poor customer service they treat you like crap and if they mess up a order they make you sound like a liar. Never again will i order from them.

I'm personally going to sue Hungry Howies. I'm suing corporate because there's a number of these chain stores with their names that are behaving like this. Someone needs to put a stop to this or bring into the media. I had worked at a Hungry Howies. & an employee was very inappropriate with me & put his hands on me I called the cops & came in to the next day I had to work & was told to go home until the general manager can tell me when to come in. I never received a call from the general manager ever. Even if it's a right to work state, the employees still has rights. So, I'm suing corporate to give the employees a voice.

I'm also suing. I was fired from there for a mental disability. How is ur lawsuit going so far? And yea that's sexual harassment if ur coworker touched you so that's 1 thing to sue for. Then the general manager firing you for calling the cops about it is a second thing u can sue for. That's retaliation. Also against federal law

I worked there for many years the current managers are nothing but bullies they think that they can treat people bad, because they get away with it. the managers at the fenton mich. howies are the worst the general manager likes to bully the staff and make them beg to keep their jobs, I have seen it myself personally. Now I hear that 1 of the male shift leaders has resorted to physical violence against a couple of drivers and he still has his job, and yes the general manager knows about it. It's sad that when you try to work for a living that you have to be treated so horribly bad and nothing gets done because the general manager snow blows it and hides it from the owners. The employees are afraid to complain for fear that they will lose their job, because the general manager says its a right to work state and she can fire you for whatever she wants too. I quit my job a few months ago because of the managers and I was there for a long time pretty sad that I put in so many years for nothing. The general manager is carrying around on her person the ex employees W2's which contain vital information like names and social security numbers. These should be locked up in the store so that no one can attain the personal information if she loses the W2 while she is out / off duty doing her own personal business. If said W2s are lost and attained by someone else identities could be stolen and said ex employees could have their credit ruined. This could lead to not being able to finance a car or a house. All insurances car, home, and renters may be affected by this, not to mention the nightmare it will cause to try to restore an identity.

we got take order from hungry howies in St Petersburg, Fl .They gave us two sausage, union, and pepporni pizza we ordered 2 peporoni and murshroom pizza, howie
Bread which tasted old not fresh and two littler.After getting it we called the store to some young guy who we can't replace anything without a managers approval and the manager not here.I asked when a manager would be there and was hung up on.i called the next day to be told by the manager you have call right away .I tried to explain that I tried to call but who owners the phone hang up on it only to have him there is nothing we can do now.I wrote to their corpate office to have a Vice President of Opertations write me back and said we would talk to them and have them get back to me that was a mouth ago.So I called corpate again and was told they talked to the store and I should call them after calling the store again a manager got nasty and said we have no corpate office and hang up on me.I will never use Hungry Howies again
