Do not fulfill their contractual obligations
I found this company is connected or are a recruiting arm associated with POWER SELLER COLLEGE. After they take your money you are put through an Ebay course with 16 personal coaching sessions. In the Internet Sales Institute contract they say that if after your coaching sessions end if you have not recovered your initial investment at there expense they will coach you until you do. In my case after my coaching sessions ended I was told over and over they had no time to fit me into any additional coaching sessions. So in my mind they broke there contract and I am disputing with the BBB and my credit card provider.
To make it worse over the phone when I called them some rep told me he would beg there CO for a small refund, and he was worried about a charge back. That's all you need to know about these guy's. They're not there to do anything but take your money. I hope this helps others not to get suckered into the high pressure selling tactics.
Refused to communicate
I received a call from Tyler Moore at Internet Sales Institute with the purpose of selling me on a coaching course to become successful at selling on Ebay. Mr Moore committed that I would begin earning enough money to pay back the $6, 500 that I was going to have to place in my credit cards. He promised that the teacher (coach) would direct me in such a way that there was no way that I could not be a success. I told Mr. Moore that in December that I was going to have to go the a hospital (Baylor Heart Hospital) for an operation on my carotid arterial system and he said that he thought that I would be clear of my credit card charges by then. He basically guaranteed that I would be in no danger financially if I followed the instructions. I did follow the instructions of the coach and I did earn about $23 to apply to the $6, 500 credit card charges. It was a failure from the start. I then went into the hospital on December 15, 2010. There were some unexpected problems as a result of the operation. When I left the hospital I tried to contact Mr Moore and he did NOT answer phone calls, voice messages OR email. I have been asking for a refund because as a result of the operation I am unable to maintain the mental requirements and strain of doing Ebay sales via dropshipping. I call for Mr Moore frequently and he will not respond. I am preparing to take legal action. I do not want to do that as it costs money. Also, because my credit cards were maxed out to Internet Sales Institute, I have not got the funds that further medical care is demanding.
Scam-did not do what they promised
After much discussion and convincing I signed up with Internet Sales Institute on October 25, 2010 after the promise and GUARANTEE that they would stay with me until I recovered my initial investment. I gave them credit card information for a total of $8, 886. I was told I would have someone consulting me until Ryan told me that that was my last consultation day and that I could call in anytime. I had also invested in a website and put out other monies to get my ebay business started. I got my business license, business cards. I had difficulty getting through to anyone over the phone and did not receive calls back. I received a call from "John" about a month or more ago and we set a date for him to call me so we could work on my ebay business. He never call. I am still having to pay off the money and cannot get any help from Internet Sales. I have paid out more in fees to ebay that what I have received in sales. I am very disappointed in my mistake in falling for this scam. I am now selling on Craig's List who doesn't charge fees and at swap meets. My web site which I still continue to work on since I have paid it is up and I am also listing things at an indoor swap meet. I need to do something to pay off the debt Internet Sales Institute has put me in. As a senior citizen I have limited income and cannot afford to be scammed like this. I would appreciate any recovery or call to discuss.
Internet Scam - They steal your Money!
These institutes stole over $9, 000.00 from me! Jacob Hanson was a smooth talking salesman, who lied about their BBB accreditation (fake website he refers you to) and money being a tax deduction (Canada Revenue Agency rejected claim as they are not a registered learning institute in Canada and nor is Thrive). The coaches are very selective about helping you as I was told I had 9 weeks or pro-active coaching and found out it was only 6 weeks. They coaches keep you on hold and you end up getting different information from different coaches, not to mention their 'whatever' attitudes or excuses that they can't talk to you because they have a scheduled meeting. I even was given someone else's website to build on by one coach and when I asked about the wrong name being on the account, another coach caught the error and tried to quickly resolve it. Thrive's training is very stressful and very confusing, when they'll help you! When confronted, they basically tell you that you an idiot and will not refund any of your money. THIS WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE and an EXPENSIVE LESSON - SO PLEASE do not even talk to anyone from the Internet Sales Insitute and even consider being coached by Thrive. They are scam artists and it's taken me over a year to deal with the stress of what I encountered with them. At one point I became so stressed that I didn't even want to look at a computer. I'm now taking action against them again and will do whatever I have to to stop them from stealing money from innocent people. So Jacob Hanson, Clancy Yohman and Thrive coaches, I'm back on track and you need to get REAL JOBS and stop your deceit and theivery!
