Diploma Dilution
I think ITT should offer a full 100% refund to the students they have taken advantage of. I have been attending for 2 years and after filing numerous complaints with the quality of teaching, i was told "it will get better". Now I am about to graduate and feel i have learned nothing. The school focuses on GETTING the students a job, but fails in the important aspects of helping a student KEEP a job or even PERFORM the job. I have been taking the Computer Networking Degree and after starting the course with 8 years of experience, I feel I am leaving the school with less knowledge of how intercommunication of computers actually work.
I feel I need to be pointed in a direction that would get me a refund instead of an ITT diploma. At least the refund could keep me fed and housed longer than the diploma.

So what is temporary credit? I was lured in by a recruiter who would not leave me alone until I understood that ITT was the the best choice for me. Itt Does prey on minorities and and low income people who normally wouldn't go to college. I got suckered in. BAD. They offered me temporary credit with zero a.p.r. . Then after the next time you go in to fill out student aid papers they tell you that you owe them $200.00/ month and that they can send you to collections any time they want to so start paying up. They don't get state funding, therefore their tuition is absolutely enormous. They charge you for books and kits you never use. like $400.00 for something you could buy at Michael's for $30.00. They hold meetings regularly telling their finance department to get rid of a students temp. credit asap. Sign them up for student loans. If I decide to go with their student loan program and graduate I will owe $425.00/month for the next 10 years with up to a 24% a.p.r. depending on how my credit is. They will hound you to sign these papers, going as far as pulling you from the middle of class to talk you into it. The education is not worth what they sell. Their turn around rate is disgusting and anyone thinking about it should stay away. I wish I did.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The financial aid department is just a group of "good ol boys" that will back each other up, and screw you over no matter what it takes! First of all their a bunch of children with serious ego problems, they don't give a rats *** about the students, and if you question anything they do, they go on the defensive and will not own up to their mistakes! As a warning to others thinking about attending ITT Tech in Tempe, AZ: Do not trust a word said from the financial department! Read everything, and understand completely before signing anything! Finally, don't buy into the friendly act they put up as a front from the beginning, all they truly care about is their own paychecks!
Wothless Diploma
You don't always get what you pay for!
My son and I did one year at the ITT campus in Thornton CO.
My intention was to get my bachelor degree and get certified as AN EE.
My son did the same and his intention was to go to the army at the officer candidate school.
Well in a nutshell, the liscensing board of the state of CO does not accept ITT as a 4 year degree, and my son cannot enroll in the army with an ITT bachelor.
I cannot even submit my name as a candidate for the exams.
This diploma is not accepted by its peers or any other engineering community.
BIG warning:
A DIPLOMA FROM A NATIONALLY ACCREDITED SCHOOL IS ALMOST WOTHLESS AND SHOULD NOT BE PERSUIT.
ITT-TECH IS VERY COSTLY AND DOES NOT PROVIDE VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.
THE TOTAL COST FOR A BACHELOR IS $90, 000
The reaction from ITT is that people going to school at ITT are going for a career.
So I suppose that everybody else goes to school as a pass time!
