Untrustworthy oil delivery services
We purchased a home and moved in on Friday February 11. That Saturday we found the seller left us an empty tank of heating oil and it was cold out. We called around to several places and Leffler was the first to answer. They quickly talked us into an agreement for regularly scheduled delivery for a premium rate of $3.99 a gallon and we were on empty but...

This is a disgusting, rotten, company who does not care about their customers! My dad, nearly 70 years old, has been without heat for almost two weeks (His house temperature has been in the 50's!) and it'll be another week, at least, before he gets his heat turned on! My dad called leffler to come fix his furnace, as he has a service contract with them. They have come to his home three times (One time where they kept moving the appointment time back further and further and finally, never came. They came the next day. So my dad wasted two days of work). Each time they came, they claimed something else was wrong with the furnace. Today, he had to call to check the progress of the part they're waiting for. They should have been in touch with him! And, they didn't even order the part before he called! It should have been ordered days ago! They do not care about their customers! I'm not even a business owner, yet I know that customers should come first! They didn't even ask what they could do to help him in this time while he waits for heat! Maybe offer to bring a heater over?! Nope! I'm furious and will be sure that everyone knows about this crap company! My dad should not be wearing a coat in his home!
Giant prices
In June, 2008 I was encouraged by leffler energy to lock in a rate for home heating oil. I was told I could not purchase a service contract for my oil burner unless I agreed to automatic delivery and a locked in rate. I agreed to lock in the rate at $4.749 Through June 30, 2009. In the past six months I have lost 50% of my annuity and am struggling to make it through the winter
I called several heating oil distributors and found rates ranging from $2.11 To $2.35 Per gallon. I called leffler and explained the circumstances. They refuse to renegotiate my contract even though they will sell heating oil to a non-customer at the current market rate. Leffler insists that I must pay $4.749 And they deny the
conversation I had with their sales representative in June, 2008.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Fraud, deception and scams
In June, 2008 I was offered an agreement for heating oil. The sales representative urged me to sign an agreement that would guarantee a rate of $4.749 Per gallon through 6/30/09. I was told that this would be the maximum I would pay. I understood this statement to mean that I would pay a maximum of 4.749 But that I would pay less if the market rate fell...

Don't ever do business with Leffler Energy Products in the central pennsylvania area. They forced people to lock in at a high rate for heating oil and offered no relief when oil prices dropped dramatically unless you paid their ripoff $599 fee to cancel your contract. I am not paying that fee and after this year, I am switching oil companies and will never...
